I love credit cards so much!

The pop up did come up while applying that due to too many cards or bonuses etc he may not be eligible. It asked if I wanted to proceed so I said "yes" and then got instant approval.
Does anybody have any datapoints on this yet (Paging @Lain, @gottalovepluto, @striker1064 and any other r/churning regulars)? This is certainly a good test offer because if they don't give you the bonus, you only spent $1,000, the annual fee is waived year 1, and you can double up on the travel credit for $200 - so you at least get that.

Has anybody else seen evidence of AMEX denying a bonus if this language popped up? I know the whole process is pretty new so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. I fully expect to see this message for me on future AMEX cards (since I've basically abused them) so it's a particularly interesting situation to me :)

The Never Ending saga of HILTON biz card offers continues...https://www.doctorofcredit.com/hilt...card-125000-point-offer-100-statement-credit/

125k Hilton points PLUS $100 stmt credit (AF not waived) available via dummy booking.

This follows previous offers of:
- 125k + $50 stmt credit (AF not waived)
- 100k + $100 stmt credit (AF waived)

Seems they are just trying to figure out what works best...good luck to anybody trying for this offer :)

@LynnTH - that pop up message is generally taken not to be a good sign. Most people click not to proceed for fear of getting approved for the card, putting all that spend to meet MSR, then getting denied the bonus.

I have not seen any data points of people proceeding despite the warning and actually being denied a bonus, but I wonder if part of that is due to folks screening themselves out of the data pool. As @SouthFayetteFan noted, the spend on this offer is not high — $1k, so you’re not out too much spend if you don’t get the bonus. But since DH now has had the PRG, if he doesn’t get the bonus this time, he may never be able to get the bonus on this card. I think the data seems mixed whether someone who gets the bonus denial message can rehabilitate their history with Amex so they qualify for bonuses again.

If you’re concerned whether the offer is attached, you can try chatting with an Amex agent from the PRG account to confirm the welcome bonus terms. Don’t mention the pop up at all. Just casually mention that you’d like to confirm the welcome offer of 50k MR/$1k MSR/3 months, and ask when you have until to meet MSR. The Amex rep should be able to confirm this info with you if the offer is attached, and could probably give you the bad news if it’s not attached. There’s DP that even if you get the pop up message when applying online, you can call in to Amex to apply over the phone and an agent can attach the offer on the back end. Unsure if an Amex rep can attach an offer after the fact if you applied online.

You can't get the CSR because you got the CSP bonus within the past 2 years. I would go for an Amex, either biz or personal.[/QUOTE]
What Amex cards are you guys considering or have gotten recently? I've had the BCP for a few years but haven't paid any attention to Amex since getting into the Chase cards this year.

God, that’s better than the last 125k offer back in May-June.

If I'm looking at finally jumping into AMEX with my first card, getting the Personal Plat. is a no-brainer then huh?

I haven't submitted anything yet, but is the 100k offer guaranteed if you're brand new to AMEX? Also if I'm reading correctly, the 100k is a bonus offer so there is a chance that the offer may be cancelled?

CSR AF is going to hit in November, and I don't want to get hit with both. I'll probably PC CSR -> CF.

No, the 100k/$5k personal Platinum is never guaranteed unless you have a mailer with your name on it in your hands or you've pulled the offer up on CardMatch or Amex's preapproval page. It's a highly targeted offer. Would you be interested in the Business Platinum with a 100k MR after $10k MSR/3 months, but you'd have to call in? Generally, the Biz Plat has many of the same benefits as the personal Plat, but has a lower $450 AF (vs. $550), at the cost of no Uber or Saks credits. However, the Biz Plat won't add to your */24 count if that matters.

Just got the Southwest Biz for reluctant P2 today! Companion Pass here we come! I couldn't find it using search, but do I need to do a different login for business cards? Thanks for all the help!!

You can call Chase and they can combine them, but if you ever want to use Chase Pay, they will have to be separated again.

And I thought it was bad enough when I applied for the normal 100k/$3k and then they had the $50 SC plus AF waived!

It is better! And here I have been considering jumping into Hilton cards :crazy2: I just finished off my new Marriott biz (as long as plastiq processes) and I have car insurance and tuition to pretty much finish off the spg biz. Then I will be all lonely with no MSR to work on

10k MSR is a bit much for me and GF since our monthly spend is relatively low, even including rent and car payments etc.

I'm currently at:
SW premiere - 1/17
SW Plus - 3/17
CSR - 11/17
CIP - 3/18

Also thinking about CIC 50k. Would it be more beneficial to just keep maxing out Chase cards? or finally jump into AMEX and try for the 100k personal?

It depends on if you are looking to do MR or get miles or hotel points. Which depends on what your upcoming travel goals for churning are.

Thanks.

The 100k personal Plat is one of VERY FEW personal offers I say are absolutely worthy of doing while you are under 5/24. If you can get a 100k offer to show...it’s probably worth taking. You’ve spread your cards out SO well - if you plan to continue at this pace you’ll be able to get any card you want for a long time :)

Some advice would be appreciated! I am very interested in AMEX Hilton biz card based on current all time high offer. I thought CIP would be my first biz card. I was approved for CSP around 7/1. That put me at 4/24. I Planned to go for CIP in October. Can I go for Hilton biz in the meantime? I want to build Hilton points. Can the biz points be pooled with future points from personal cards? If so how does that work? Is there a way to 'park' these points with the personal no fee Hilton card eventually? I read this thread religiously every day and I am trying to learn! But I am terrified to mess up lol

Applying for the Hilton biz will have no effect on your getting the CIP in October.

I am not a Hilton expert but guessing their points are like hotels in that they are attached to your hotel loyalty account and not to your CC. You should be fine pooling and keeping them even if you close the Biz card.

Any points earned on the Hilton card will transfer to your Hilton account. You don’t need to have a card open to keep them safe. You do however need to have a qualifying activity every 12 months in your Hilton account to keep them from expiring. IF you later get Hilton points from a personal card, those will go to the same account (so yes they “pool”) :)

Getting a Hilton biz won’t affect your plan to get a CIP.

I believe they fixed that for most people with combined accounts. My parents have a combo account and were able to use Chase Pay for the first time I think whenever Chase ran their last Best Buy offer...

I should also add that you can easily transfer Hilton points between spouses so if you have a P2 and you both get a Hilton biz, you can combine those points.
