I love credit cards so much!

10k in 3 months is not bad.
i was looking at the Amex Plat Biz that i think a few ppl here sign up for... i dunno how do do that MSR even with my MS knowledge... but its 8.5k per month for 100k MR... :\ i back off when i saw that.

You mean the 100k MR/$25k/3 months offer? Yeah, unless you have some legit biz spend, I don’t know how you can manage that MSR. I think that’s why so many jumped on the call-in $10k MSR offer.

Looking for a card recommendation. I’m 3/24 and since my last one was 3 months ago, I guess I don’t really care if I add another one right now even if it’s maybe not the best one to add. So, I’m looking for something that would do a 0% balance transfer for a while with NO fee or even 0% on purchases, but I’d also like something with a bit of a sign on bonus. Does something like that even exist? Specifically 0% balance transfer with no fee AND sign on bonus? I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred and the SW card. Not really looking to do a business card. Any suggestions???

Chasse Freedom has small balance transfer fee but 0% on purchases for 15 mos last I checked. Sign up bonus with $500 MSR is $150 I think, which you could transfer to your CSP for 1.25x redemption

sorry, what the detail on that again?

Does it say that in the drop down box next to "Showing" in the middle of the page? I may be confused, everything moves so quickly here, but I assumed this was your first statement.
That box defaults to "Activity since your last statement", but you can click it to see previous statements. The date listed there is your statement date. If you have no other statements listed, then you can try the payment due date "trick" to guess when your statement will close. If the due date is the 25 and the charge hasn't posted yet it might have been too close. Seems like you may want at least 3-4 business days between posting and having the bonus ready to post on statement date. Fingers crossed.
Oh we were looking at two different things. I was looking at the top of the page under Current Balance where it says my next payment is due August 25. In the middle of the page if I have "Activity since last statement" selected then it is blank. I have two charges that are pending; one of them being the room payment for our October trip.

The deal that some of us got was 100k MR for 10k spend in 3 months on the Amex Biz. Was on DoC - seems that one particular call center was going on easy on everyone and giving out a deal that was originally a targeted offer. You just had to call in and ask for that offer specifically. I got the OK yesterday, so 10k Amex spend in 3 months is a little :crazy2: but so much better than 25k! Not sure if it is still available, or just a short window when it worked.

Look at the Chase Slate...if I’m reading correctly it’s no fee for a balance transfer on the first 60 days and 0% apr on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months with no annual fee

Yes variable loads are at mine for Disney so you can do $25.
I only entered my CF card to Retailmenot and I also clicked on the offer before purchasing, so that it was linked to my credit card and account. Then go in grab the giftcard pay with your linked cc and done! Nothing to show scan etc. Soooo easy. Cash will be pending and then available a few days later unless they shut down the gc purchase which could be possible at any point. Easy 20% plus the 5% if you use URs.

Thanks so much for your previous post on the how to! I've occasionally grabbed retailmenot coupons online but had no idea about the cash back offers in the app. I've downloaded it, linked my CF and activated the Walgreens offer. As you said, as long as they don't shut down the gc purchase from qualifying, it's easy money.

How about the AMEX EveryDay card? 0 AF, 0% balance transfer fee, 0% intro APR on balance transfers done within 60 days of card opening good for 15 months, 10K MR points for spending $1000 in the first 3 months. 2x supermarkets, 1x everywhere else, with potential for 20% more if you make 20+ purchases on the card in a month.

Thanks for the DP. I stopped in after lunch and picked up a $50 Disney GC. Asked 2 people about split tender and was going to need a manager's approval. I just got a $25 Amazon GC and will head to another store for the remainder.

Bummer that they were going to make you jump through hoops to split tender. Sounds like I got lucky with my cashier. There was a link on the receipt to complete a survey about my customer service experience (which the cashier pointed out to me, lol) so I completed it (actually two separate surveys since each receipt had a unique survey code) and gave the cashier high marks for his can do attitude. Each survey also let me enter into a drawing to win a $500 Staples gc.

Quick question- got an offer from Disney Visa to upgrade my card to Premium version. $100 statement credit, $50 annual fee, so I am thinking I would make out with $50 just for doing this. However, I am at 5/24.. does an upgrade count?

I'm at 3/24. I was approved for CIP on 6/6 (doesn't count toward 5/24 right?) I would like to apply for the SW Plus (or Premier) and Biz card at the end of the year and try to earn the CP as early as possible in 2019. When can I/ should I apply for those cards assuming that there will be a 50,000 promotion around the end of the year? Also, does the SW Biz card count toward 5/24?

Do you know how many times you can do this? I feel like I read the offer resets after several days but I can't remember where/if I read that and I'm about to head to Walgreens :)

Your correct...business cards don’t count towards 5/24..so the CIP and SW business don’t count.

Last year they had the 60,000 promo...I applied 9/27/17 and had until the middle of 1/18 to meet the MSR which I did right after 1/1
You have a good plan in place....let’s hope they do the 50,000 promo on the personal...right now the business is 60,000RR

I second this @eeyoreland ! :)
If you go through a support link you can get 15k MR for the same 1k spend for sure; all other terms are the same. (if the public offer is still 10k, it seems to change all the time, they might match up again)

If you have a small balance to transfer, the Blue Cash Everyday card also has 0 AF and 0% APR for 15 months, but has a BT fee (Either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater.) But that's a $200 statement credit after 1k of spend, I think that might be the same public offer or support link. But run the numbers to make sure the BT fee doesn't negate the added cash.

There was also talk of the Everyday card getting a 25k MR offer via incognito. I think all the terms were the same, just a higher sign up bonus. Something else to try for.

As far as I know it does not

Realized I made a couple dumb dumb mistakes with cards while on vacation. First of all, I forgot the $50 Uber GC I bought :sad2: Left it sitting in my car after I parked at IAD. I'm going to attribute that to arriving at the airport at 4:15 AM. I honestly never use Uber so I have no use for it now. Recommendations on which website to use to sell it? Alternatively, is anyone here interested? I'd be willing to to sell it discounted to someone here if anyone is comfortable with that.

I was smart enough to put my CIP in for the Uber ride back to LAX last night in the hopes that it's 3x travel. Of course, I should've used DH's CIP since he has a -$25 balance on his card right now. Oh well.

I've been waiting on a $600 charge to come through on my Hilton Amex which should finish my spend. I checked today and the charge is pending on my CSP. I emailed the company and they said their QuickBooks must have had my CSP saved and it billed that instead of my Amex. They're checking into it and are going to let me know.

You will just be upgrading your current card. The history and even account number will remain the same, you will just be earning at a higher rate across some categories. We have the Premier and that is the only card that my wife will use. You can do it and always downgrade in the future if you don't like it.

Thanks. I got approved for CIP on 6/6. When is the earliest I could apply for these to give myself the best chances of being approved? If I can get Personal at 50k and Biz at 60k I would be so pumped!

Ok, so yeah first statement. I'm guessing your statement will close Aug 3 or 4. Just a straight guess based on how mine seems to be calculated.

I need some advice - I've kind of got my back up against a wall so to speak...

Last year in August, I applied for Citi TY Premier for DH and myself. I know the annual fee will be coming up soon, and I'd really rather not pay it to keep the card. Two issues: DH's card still has all of the points and DD2 is using the cards while she studies abroad. I could probably get her another card though - I didn't think it through very well when I sent those cards with her :o.

Is there a way to downgrade cards (or at least DH's) so that I don't lose the points and I don't have to pay an annual fee? Or is there another citi card I can apply for that I could earn more bonus points and then transfer his points to that card??

I basically have the same issue (although larger annual fee) with the AmEx Business Gold Rewards card that I opened for myself last August. I know the $175 annual fee is coming up. Similar to above, I haven't used the points. So, I know I could transfer them to use in the future, but is there a way to apply for another card to transfer the points to and/or downgrade to a free card that I could keep the points on?

Not sure if it matters in this discussion, but here are our stats:

Me:
10/16 - CIP - downgraded to CIC 12/17
1/17 - CSR
3/17 - CSP - closed 4/18
8/17 - Citi TY Premier
8/17 - AmEx Business Gold Rewards

DH:
10/16 - CSR
3/17 - Southwest Premier - closed 3/18
3/17 - Southwest Plus - closed 3/18
8/17 - CitI TY Premier
5/18 - Chase Ink Bus Preferred

So, main goal right now is to deal with the Citi cards and the AmEx card. I could live with paying the annual fee on the citi cards if necessary since DD is using them right now (she's using one and has the other as a backup in case something happens with the first one). But, I for sure do not want to pay the AmEx annual fee.

Second goal will be building our UR points back up - we've burned through tons of them this year visiting both DD's as they studied abroad. So, I figure when I get the Citi/AmEx figured out, I'll start working on that.

Thanks for any advice!
