I love credit cards so much!

Ask for the Cruise and Tours Department. They're the only ones who seem to know how to book tickets with UR.

And you have to specifically ask that the tickets come from Disney directly, right? So as to not risk a situation like @gottalovepluto got herself into. I'm wanting to do this for next year's WDW tix so paying close attention!

Good to know on the Playmobil. We have TONS of the sets that my boys never play with. My girls loved it but my boys are strictly Lego kids. I should list that Playmobil and get it gone!

Good luck on the CIP!!

Lots of toys and books seem to hold value...if your girls have American Girl dolls or outfits I did really well selling my daughters AG doll clothing....kept the doll and one outfit....my daughter is 27 and all the outfits were “retired” so actually sold them for more than the cost.

I’m now looking at selling my old barbies and clothing....all are from the early 60’s...so doing a lot of research

I just do BIN with instant payment required....the issue I had with the recent return..(.thank goodness usually get only a few each year..which is why I offer them) was eBay changed their return policy so if I offer free shipping...I can’t take the actual shipping cost off the return, my only option was a full refund....so I ate the cost of the original shipping
I also require the buyer pay for return shipping....lots changes on eBay over the 10 years I’ve been selling and most not good for sellers
Everything about it is aimed at making buyers happy at the expense (monetary or time) of the sellers. I really dislike the current feedback process for the same reason.

I choose whether or not to do BIN and/or free shipping on a case by case basis, depending on what I'm selling and what the comps are. But I do always require immediate payment with BIN.

Yes, definitely. When I booked my tickets the girl I talked to said she would always book ticket-only orders directly from Disney because there's no advantage to doing it through a third party, but I made sure to bring it up anyway. We know painfully well how every rep is different! :crazy2:

Needing advice from other Barclay Arrival + friends...I got the card almost a year ago and my AF will be hitting soon. I really would like to cancel but I am sitting on 4,750 reward points that I cannot use (need 5,000, I think for just statement credit of $25 or 10,000 for redemption against travel charge...which I have!). What should I do?? I do not want to pay the AF. Do I abandon the last bit of reward dollars, or is there an easy way to get my total up so I can redeem?
downgrade to the no fee arrival. I did it last year.

The CIP earns 3x UR on eBay sellers fees and eBay shipping through PayPal. Add the CIP as the payment method on your eBay account and select and preauthorize the CIP in PayPal as the preferred method of payment for eBay shipping.

Good luck!

@Limes96 – you’ll have to withdraw your PayPal balance every time before generating a PayPal shipping label on eBay to charge to your CIP, or else the shipping cost will be deducted from your PayPal balance and not charged to your CIP.

Not sure I'm understanding this...I have a couple hundred dollars in my PayPal account at all times, and my shipping costs are paid with my CIP.
I seem to remember having this conversation before, that it didn't work this way for you. But I don't have a problem with the incoming eBay payments adding to my PayPal balance and my outgoing shipping costs charging to my CIP.

My shipping seems to work the way Lain said.....I’ve looking over everything on PayPal and eBay, but unless I have my PayPal balance at 0 it’s takes the shipping fees from the balance....I print my labels from the eBay website

I'm wondering if Ava is referring to saving 20% on the tickets through discounted GC's? We bought our DLR tickets from LMTclub.com. It was the best deal I could find.

I think I remember Ava posting that they are staying at the Hotel Indigo.
Thanks! I've been trying to set-up an LMTclub account but can't seem to find a code for free membership. I tried the ones posted in late June but they weren't working. I'll look more when I get home since my work place has many sites blocked. I think we just need 3 day parkhoppers, although DH only wants to go for 2 nights.

My DH's does the same so he always moves the proceeds to either my PayPal or his depending on who's eBay account had the sale.

Yeah, I remember having this conversation. I finally figured out that I had my PayPal preauthorization for eBay set to my bank account, so it would deduct from my PayPal balance first then my bank account even though my CIP was set as the preferred method of payment on PayPal. Removed the preauthorization and set it up again with the CIP. So now shipping labels generated on the eBay site get charged to my CIP as long as my PayPal balance is $0. If I have any PayPal balance, eBay shipping still deducts from that first before charging my CIP. I’m not going to fiddle any more with it. The process I have of withdrawing the sale proceeds first before generating a shipping label works well enough for me.

My girls have tons of the AG stuff still. I don't think either is willing to sell their dolls or outfits but I think they are willing to part with a lot of the 'extras' like the crutches, wheelchair, school desk, ski set, snowboard, etc.

I have my mom's old barbies from the 50's and 60's but I'm not sure I can part with those either lol! They are funky looking compared to today's Barbie but I loved them so much growing up and then my dd's played with them too.

With all of the ebay talk... is anyone using the AMEX Fedex offers with their ebay shipping? If that's possible? I've got some things to list and got a 25% Fedex offer, so I was curious.

We had 4 day PH'ers and still didn't get to do everything we wanted! And that was all-day touring, from open to close, other than one day leaving for a couple hours during the day and one night we left a bit before close.

Hopefully, some of the LMT codes are still working for you!

Grrr...Fidelity locked my account and the customer service rep had me on hold for quite a while. When she came back and started listing all the things I needed to fax/mail to verify my identity. I told her no way and to redeposit the money I had put in the accounts. She has yet to call me back --I think my testiness threw her off...four days without a/c in the summer in Florida and I'm just not in the mood. Guess bank accounts aren't in my future after all:guilty:

That's so weird. I print my labels from the eBay site too.

I'm glad you found a workaround. I don't know why it works for some and not for others. I don't dare change any of my preferences or payment options for fear that it will break.

Lol agree the Barbies are very different....I’d love to keep everything, but we will probably be moving to FL in under 5 years so time to unfortunately sell stuff...my kids don’t want any of it so eBay it is for any items that have value. Books are the hardest for me to part with.I’ve got a whole set of old old Nancy Drew

I ship 99% of my items USPS...local PO is 1mile from my home and the ladies there are great...I’ve used UPS a few times for oversized items...golf clubs ..not familiar with FedEx rates etc...sorry

You've shipped golf clubs? I kept telling my grandpa this weekend we were going to come up with a side business, because he stays in AZ during the winter in a retirement community and he picks up a ton of almost new golf clubs for under a couple bucks each, and hundreds of free golf balls from a friend. Sometimes if he ends up with ones he doesn't want, and has no one to give them to, he sets them out at his neighbor's garage sale and sells them for a few bucks more than he paid... I told him he needs to pick up a bunch this winter and we would have a sale up in NE or CO next spring
