Oh, I just dropped off the lunch for them. I didn't eat with them. Although all of his teachers are amazing so I wouldn't minded having lunch with them. But it was actually their planning time since they have an early lunch at 10:50 am before the restaurants open.

I finally got a usable AMEX offer on one of my SPG cards! $15 off $50 at 1800Flowers. Plus I'll get 30% back through eBates. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! (She actually really likes flowers, lol.) That was also the first charge to my SPG personal, even though I got it 3 weeks ago. The $7K MSR on SPG Biz is killing me. And I'm probably going to apply for a CIC next week, for another $3K MSR. Maybe I have a problem.

ugh. totally OT here..... so I was supposed to get a package, and USPS seems to have 'lost' it. (they show it as delivered, it wasn't.) no neighbors got it.... and its $95 worth of clothing I had bought. So a small package, envelope style that should have gone in the mailbox with all the other mail I got that day. Advice? USPS is claiming someone stole it (that didn't happen,we live in a quiet area where we're all home at random times of day, this was a Saturday, delivered at 10:30 and we got home by about noon,other mail was in box that day) I'm desperately hoping they find it, but I doubt it. I was thinking of calling the company and telling them it never arrived, but I'm at a loss here.it was a splurge for me to buy something that pricey, but I really like the clothes from this company.

@hsmamato2 - I agree with @Jen and Ashwin and call the company to say it wasn’t received. I’ve been stocking up on lightweight, travel friendly clothes for my trip next week. That’s how I’m working on the Freedom 5x. I’m using PayPal to pay for it. The clothing catalog store I like is a bit pricey too but I love the clothes!

I was thinking about ordering something with that! I like the dog ones... I don't like the one they have for Mother's Day as much as some of the any occasion ones, but only the Mother's day one can still be delivered this weekend... Decisions!

If it makes you feel any better (it won't!) I accidentally charged my gift cards at Best Buy to my CSR on ChasePay instead of my CF AND I didn't use the correct shopping portal on a purchase and lost the 10% back (17 bucks!). It's been a sketchy week with my gift card and churning deals.

It only takes one slip up to go from to 'that was literally a waste of X hours of my life'

There’s one more month in this quarter, so I expect eBay will offer another round or two of good gift cards for sale because they tend to run a lot of promos and sales at the end of every quarter to juice up sales numbers.

I'll be my typical self and say I'm going to put any and all purchases towards a new MSR (typically at a > 20% return) and use the PayPal option to generate a quick return. I also am doing this since I have 4 Freedom Cards and no designs of spending $6k on non MSR spend

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this one though. The only wrong answer is to not max out in some fashion since it's so easy to do so haha!

Freedom's Q2 5x bonus categories include PayPal transactions up to a cap of $1,500.

PayPal has a feature that lets you transfer money to friends and family for a 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fee. To max out the PayPal category on one card, you'd just send your spouse (or a trusted person) a payment of $1,457.43 + PayPal fees ($42.27+0.30) = $1,500. Spouse deposits the money back into his/her account, or friend gets the money back to you. BOOM. You've maxed out the bonus in one transaction, earned 7,500 UR, and it cost you only $42.57 in fees.

This assumes you don't have other ways of maxing out the Q2 categories, organically and without incurring fees.

Yeah, I think I'm going to just set up my SPG personal to pay my next 2 months rent on Plastiq and be done with it. That will more than meet the MSR on time, and I won't have to think about it. I hate paying the fee, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have been wondering about this. Do you plan to app on the 1st day of the month after your card falls off?
For example, if you got a card in 5/2016, you will app on 6/1/18?
