I love credit cards so much!

Yes, a hotel a few times. Mostly it was ok, but one time took like 2 weeks of calling to get it right, lots of back and forth,I don't know why it wasn't showing canceled, and I had to wait like 3 weeks to see my points back finally. But other times it was ok. You just have to call,vs. doing things online. and be SURE you take screenshots with 'fully refundable' on your page, not all things are
Ugh! Me too! I had to cancel a Hilton Homewood Suites Reservation and it wouldn't cancel online (despite being fully refundable), called in got passed to a supervisor, said they'd call back in a day, they didn't, I called again... Ugh, it was a pain but in the end they finally got it cancelled, said they had to call the hotel and talk to the manager to cancel it manually. I got my cash back in about 2 weeks but the points took another 5 days or so to credit.

ETA: this particular booking still shows as a trip in my UR portal (and not as cancelled). But since it's pre-pay and I got my cash & points back already I'm not worried.

Has anyone ever cancelled/changed a reservation they made through the UR portal with points? Is it easy? I have made several hotel reservations, I think I am good with those. I am ready to do my car, and for some reason I am hesitant to hit submit. In my experience, car rates can fluctuate a lot, and in the past, I have rebooked several times through the company website very easily. I am not sure how easy it would be to rebook through the UR portal if needed. Any insight? I am looking at $657 (or 43853 points) for a 12 day minivan if I hit submit today. Also I know that the CSR has some kind of relationship with National and Avis, I believe, has that benefited anyone?
If Chase has to manually cancel your reservation do not plan on seeing those points back in your account for 2 weeks (3 to be on the safe side).

I applied 2 weeks ago and got a rejection letter yesterday citing too many cards opened in 24 months. I only applied for 3/24 but was listed as a user on two my husband opened.
Hope you have better luck!
If you want the card, HUCA (Hang Up Call Again) Chase's reconsideration line. The computer counts AUs but about half of customer reps will reconsider your application manually if you tell them you're an AU. I was in a similar boat and it took me 3 calls (2 in the morning, then I waited 8 hours for a shift change because the 2nd rep had gone to a supervisor, last call in evening) and I finally got approval. (Hang Up Call Again).

...He wasn't thrilled...
Enthusiasm will come when he sees the rewards of signing up for the card. I almost had to twist a reluctant male's arm in my house to get him to apply for the CSR but now that he's seeing the "free" stuff... I heard him bragging about how awesome the CSR sign up bonus was to someone on the phone the other day :rotfl2:

Do AUs with chase have the same card number? Can they have their own login to the site to make payments? If they can do they see all transactions or just theirs?

But you can transfer points from the Ink Cash to a personal premium card like the CSP or CSR. You don't have to have a premium business card, correct?

also make sure u transfer to whoever name owns the account --> same name. Ink Cash doesnt allow transfer to famiy members unless that family member is the boss of the company.

This is sort of a credit card win...we used DH's brand new SPG account number toward minimum spend (don't have the card yet) to buy a range on Saturday when a major Sears appliance sale coincided with a major Ebates promo. We got 35% off from Sears, an instant $5 coupon through a popup during my browsing session, $28 in Shop Your Way points, and $118 back from Ebates ($108 from 14% cash back from Sears Saturday only; $10 back from signing up DH as a new Ebates user). AND, the SPG card gives us an extra year on the warranty.

But if you transfer the points from the Ink to the CSR (same account holder) then you can transfer those points to someone else in the household. Correct?

i recall them being the same number. as for login, i think so too. I just remembered when i added myself again as AU, it delinked my card from my account. haha.

yes, that should work.

So glad you posted this! DH wants to get rid of his CSR before the annual fee hits but I thought we would have to use his points up before he could close it. So we'll just move his points to my CSR instead :)

Actually, the Points Guy link I just posted says you can transfer directly from one person's Ink to another person's premium UR account. I wonder if it wouldn't give you the option if the Ink Cash holder didn't have their own premium account though.

For those of you with United MileagePlus cards, I wanted to point something out for you: The MileagePlus X app. Through the app, you can buy gift cards, which vary in the miles/$ awarded. it even includes amazon, although only at .5 miles/$. You can use these gift cards in store or online. I just bought some school uniforms for the kids, on top of the 30% off Land's end is running, you can use it to get 5 miles/$. If you have a United card you charge it to, you get a 25% bonus on the miles awarded. $201 purchase, I received 1,258 miles. This is before going through the MileagePlus shopping portal which would give me another 603 miles. MileagePlus Shopping is currently running a promotion with a 300/1K mile bonus for a $150/350 purchase. Since my purchase qualifies me for the lower bonus, I just received over 2K miles for $200, since I also get the 200 miles for the credit card spend as well.

It's a trick I am starting to run through my analysis in which is the best means to buy something.

ETA It also works if you don't have a United card, but you don't get the 25% bonus through the app and their portal returns are lower without a card.

yes, it's possible but I highly not recommend it. There was a recent DP on flyer talk on a guy who transferred to a household member but chase asked for some tax form asking for proof of ownership(sch k) i think. if he doesn't, all his chase cards would be shut down. I'm at school right now, I'll link it when I get home.

I remember that mileage X passes the coding onto the credit card company, so if u buy a restaurant gift card, it codes 3x on the CSR. double dipping.

Wow, that's scary.

well, im wrong again. :\ sorry guys. ima go hide in my closet for awhile... :(
Seems like his issue was he sent it to his partner(whom i guess isnt living with him) and the business is fake. So Chase wanted to see if hes an owner/business partner.

SPG Personal/Business Card is ending its 35k bonus in 2 days. Sign up if u can!

anyone has one? I could use a referral code! :]

I've had the SPG Amex in the past (long since cancelled) and received a sign-up bonus. My understanding is that I am not eligible for another bonus with this card. Can the experts confirm?
