Can you downgrade before a year?
So then I think a good plan would be CIP for bonus then downgrade to CIC for the 5x categories. DH has CSP, CFU and SW. I was waiting for SW yearly miles to post but that’s not until July, then cancelling. His total credit from Chase is well below 50% of income.Yes.
Briefly, it seems a little confusing. I really don’t know a lot about how it works.
Do branded gift cards (Shell, BP) usually have the same issue? DH was able to use it once but only put $10 worth in (no idea why?! ) I had a BP GC before and used it to fill up, leaving $ on the Card. The next time, I just used the rest and paid for the remaining purchase with CC. Ended up using the Visa GC at Costco because I was frustrated. Hate going into a gas station.
I’ve been using Shell gift cards at pumps without a problem.
I plan on using my SPG and a couple of other cards next week when my taxes are finally done. I didn’t realize I’d need to call. Mine will be a pretty large number too. What was the amount 1040.com allowed? Is the phone number easy to find on the website?Funny all the paying taxes going on today. I did federal taxes this morning with my business platinum AMEX to take advantage of the 1.5x membership rewards (50% bonus over $5,000). Our taxes were well over that amount. Due to the amount, I had to call Amex to get pre-authorization. I told them I was paying taxes to take advantage of the 50% bonus and they said "great way to use" or something like that. This was the second time I'd called (I called about a month ago to figure out whether they'd let me do it with the amount) and they had same reaction. The talk of problems getting point with taxes and amex yesterday had me a little panicky, but they acted as if it was no big deal. We'll see. I'll report back when it all goes through and points are credited (crossing fingers!). I also had to call pay1040.com due to the amount and I was so paranoid, I had the lady repeating everything about five times, LOL. Stressful day!

You can use it at the pump? That would be great!have you guys considered trying out chase pay with shell? i am currently doing this to spend my 5x freedom category
@speedyfishy, @linzjane88, @Albort, and others who are part of the MS game. Posted something over on DISChurners about what I view as an 'easier' MS path with USB MCGCs. If you have an SO or a trusted family member, this probably couldn't get easier, so long as you aren't doing heavy hitter volumes and get shutdown
Think I'll be maxing out our Discover/CF categories easily and making a nice little profit
@speedyfishy saw you posted about burning your MS location. This may save you a few trips![]()

Because I barely find anything here that takes Chase Pay.
I’ve never noticed a Chase Pay option at a Shell pump! I’m just finishing up my Shell GCs that I got for 10x over the holidays. I only spend $25/week on gas so it’s taken me a while to burn through them. I’ll keep my eyes peeled now though.

I never done this, but i heard its pretty iffy on shutdowns as well. I believe u can reload at any walmart register or other places too. i know the one person who did this was @calypso726 but she may no the old way.
I took a screen shot of your instructions and I’ll try it out next time I need to fill up. Thanks!it has to trigger on your phone...
I just looked on my Chase Pay app Under “at the pump” it says none found.yeah. U basically go to the pump, hit Pay on chase pay app, click on the gas station ur at, input pump #, input the 3 digit code into the pump, and pump your gas.
5x with freedom.

No in the app it says Where u can use Chase Pay. I’ll have to give it a try next time I need gas and try at the stationur at the station? It GPS. so u show up to station, pull up the at the pump when ur there.
I haven't used Serve but did use Bluebird which works similar to Serve. We MSd $30,000 in about 6 months to get a BA travel together ticket which we used to go to Italy last year. We went through 4 BB shut downs in the process. I haven't dipped back into the MS pool since the death of RedBird but am slowly gearing up to do so again.
The payment services all have different limits. Frim the irs page on paying taxes by cc there was a link (I’m on my phone right now so if you can’t find it I can send to you) for large payments. 1040’s was anything over 100k. The number to call on that page though was wrong. I ended up just calling the main customer service #.I plan on using my SPG and a couple of other cards next week when my taxes are finally done.
