I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I think this is true but hope someone will verify. I got the CSP a month ago. I want to have the old/current CSR. I can upgrade a CF (very old) to CSR and hold CSP at the same time. Correct? Also how much credit limit do I need on the CF to upgrade? Thanks.

quick question..... transferring from ASair to AA is still a thing right? It's only the amex-AS-AA that's becoming extinct?

Has anyone had any difficulty transferring Chase URs from one card to another. I tried this morning in DH's account - keeping them in his account, but moving from one card to another. I couldn't get past entering the code they texted me. Then in my account, I tried the same - no go.

Tried this morning - still not working. Hope this is just a temporary glitch and not a precursor to something bad.

doc just said this also
Chase will be removing the ability to redeem points for 1.5¢ per point via the Chase travel portal. Points earned before the cut off date will be eligible to be redeemed until sometime in 2027. I haven’t been able to confirm these changes with any of my own sources with Chase so it’s unclear how reliable this information is.

If that goes away, I really don't understand the benefits of keeping the card.

I rarely transfer our URs for flights, only to Hyatt and I use them to book hotels and car rentals on the portal - which I've always been able to get decent rates.

ok FM just verified he "reversed" his recent downgrade back to a CSR and he got the CSP. So you can have both. Now to decide if I want to reverse or downgrade a different CF.

I'm with you. I book a lot of hotels on the portal and the 1.5 redemption is key. I still think I'll upgrade before the change and see what happens. I just decided on next year's trip and know I'll use the 1.5 redemption on hotels.

Side topic: my Enterprise corporate rate expired since I retired. They final noticed and now the rental I booked for Iceland is locked. I had to rebook and it is about 1.5x the old cost. I'll miss that perk (but not enough to go back to work :-))

I think I would just cash everything out all the time then

My biggest thing with the CSR is the trip and car rental insurance, it's what I've used and I don't think there's comparable coverage without cost that also has good transfer partners.

I've read about a WF card and US Bank in comments but WF only has a couple useful partners and none I would need in the next while. I don't think US Bank has any.

I know you can pay to increase the car rental coverage on the plat for each rental, but at that point it might be just as easy to pay the car rental ins fee.

Not sure what to do about trip delay etc. Does the CSP cover stuff? I paid my af this year and am more than 4 years from when I got the bonus, so I can always PC the CSR and then app for the CSP next year. Then cancel whatever I PC it to since I've been one card out one in with Chase and will have an ink I can cancel in oct.

CSP travel insurance covers much of the same stuff as CSR but at different levels. CSR delay is 6 hr and CSP is 12 hr. This is all current. No idea on what new card will be.

A lot of things i wanted to comment on here's a multiquote because I've been thinking about this since the rumors started. I know I have a credit card problem, but you all are my peeps.

Yes this and the 3x to me are key and the insurance for outside the US. Right, this makes chase unlimited worth 2.25x if its 1-1 this would be a game changer for the worse.

they could kill cash too amex used to waaaay back when. Not saying they will kill it I dont want them to but if they did they would give us an expiration date, and im willing to guess that if it happened, it would have a cut-off date where its only worth points and not cash.

I agree but what if they lower it for the CSP?

I have a bad feeling that if this fee rises, so will the CSP. This is why they had that 100k sub.

so many changes make me think about cashing it all at now, and putting it in savings. I have an insanely large amount of URs.
