I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I can't find the Epic Deals, but man I have never seen WDW tickets in the Chase portal! We do NOT need to plan a trip this soon but man that's tempting!
I just looked and can’t find them anymore. Originally I was looking at November dates, so hopefully they’ll pop up again 🤞

I think I will have DD wait until the support links for the Chase Sapphire is live for 100k. I don't want to have to deal with asking for the elevated SUB. 100k versus 60k + 10k if they don't honor it is a big difference. Chase potentially honoring the extra SUB is great if you find out afterwards that you could have gotten a higher SUB but I don't want to chance the potentially big difference.

In the meantime, I may bit the bullet and try for new Ink cards for either me or PP2. I have both our personal credit frozen. Do I need to unfreeze our credit for a Chase Ink business card?

Solo traveler here as well. My DH doesn't like to travel as much as I do. Last solo trip was to DL in December. I usually carry my kindle and a small notebook so I can read or journal while I eat. I also eat in my room sometimes because I've been overloaded by people all day (total introvert) and I need to decompress and regroup. DC is great because so much to do with museums, outdoor monuments. As to shows, I've done Broadway shows, theme parks shows and movie solo. No one really notices you are solo. Enjoy and welcome to solo travel.
Thanks! :flower1: :flower1:

Yes you would need to unfreeze your credit…

I'm pretty sure this is true but looking for confirmation. If I booked my trip using CSR for flights/taxes/fees and used URs for hotels, I need to have that card active through my trip to take advantage of insurance if anything happens. I'd jump on the CSP 100k but I'd have to PC my CSR and my trip is in 2 weeks. Hopefully it lasts into May and I can get it then.

Also question on a later trip. It includes a cruise so I got travel insurance that covers that cost. How do you account for award flights?

1) yes, my understanding is that the card still has to be open at time of incident in order to use the travel insurance benefit

2) travel insurance only covers non-refundable costs. Typically, with award flights, the points are refundable upon cancellation, so there would be nothing for insurance to cover.

Has anyone downgraded a CSR/CSP while they had upcoming travel booked in the Chase travel portal?

I'm trying to time card applications with a trip for July 2026. If I used, say, a CSR to book at 1.5 redemption but then downgraded that CSR in May 2026, does anyone know the impact, if any, on the July 2026 travel? I know the travel insurance wouldn't cover the trip, but not sure if I'll still be able to manage the booking on Chase travel, cancel within the refund window, etc.

On connecting southwest flights , how do you purchase priority boarding on the 2nd leg? It only let me purchase on the first segment.

Thanks. Do you know if travel insurance would still cover trip delays (have to book another flight), delayed/lost baggage on award flights.

I recently downgraded my CSR to a CFU; at the time I had 1 open reservation for dd and her bf for a ryokan with half board (with in-room onsen due to dd's tattoos) in Hakone for 2 nights. I can see the reservation under my CFU. Dd's bf has been in contact with the ryokan for info regarding the meals (dd is a vegetarian) and they see the reservation, so no issues at all.

This past September I bought a full year travel insurance policy that covers both trip delays and delayed & lost baggage. I don't worry too much about either since I'm hard-core team carry-on only and I find it's easier with status and biz class to get seats on alternate flights. My primary reason for purchasing was for medical insurance.

The only time I had a claim for stolen baggage (Atlanta) was over 10 yrs ago and since the ticket was booked through dh's AmEx plat card they sent a check within a few weeks. Getting Delta to pay their share was a huge PITA and took several months.

Wow $83 to upgrade both segments. For one hour flights.
rdu to mco i watched the price for FC for 6 months on google flights it never dropped before 190$ for the upgrade and this was for a flight that is 1 hour and 15 min they are crazy lol

Ugh, yeah. Our last flight back from Orlando was $80 for both segments.

What's worse is we felt forced to pay it for the first segment because despite paying for early bird, they put Me, DH, and our 12yo DS at the end of group A and my 9yo twin DDs in group B! >:( We knew we'd be further back in A since we changed our flights about 6 weeks out, but I still can't believe they separated two 9yos from their parents.
