I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Did anyone use the offer for Chase Travel recently on Sapphire cards where you got 20,000 URs for spending $500 on hotels through Chase Travel? How long did it take to receive the 20k URs?

I made a booking 5 weeks ago and haven't received anything yet.
I posted the above 2 months ago and the points never arrived. Been getting the runaround from Chase for the last two weeks - don't seem to be making much progress - just keep getting told it has been escalated to the Chase Travel team responsible for promotions and I should hear back within 5 days. Then a week passes and they tell me the same thing. Aaaaaaaaargh!!!

Fortunately I took screenshots when I signed up for the promotion so hopefully will get the points eventually, but frustrating to have to chase Chase for them.

Happy to report that Chase has now confirmed I did qualify for the offer (which I knew) and I can see the 20,000 URs pending.

Should have received the points by 5 March according to the offer terms, so don't know what happened and Chase isn't gonna tell me, but alls well that ends well (with 20k URs). :p Just wish I didn't have to jump through hoops to get them.

I finally hit my first pts transfer snag. Transferred 18K to Flying Blue that went through instantly. Booked return tickets for domestic Delta flight and then realized I could also book the outbound flight through them (6K FB compared to 25K on Delta). So I transferred 18K more, and those still have not shown up. It is showing the transaction in my Chase Rewards, so I know they both went through on Chase's end. Will call Chase tomorrow if they still haven't credited at FB.

Always best to wait a day if you can between transfers. The most common reason I read anywhere for issues is someone doing a test transfer or just not enough the 1st time and it's instant so they do a 2nd and it gets stuck. Probably a block to prevent fraud which is only helpful when it is suspect and not intentional.

My brother applied for a Disney premier visa on Monday and it went pending. He only has two open cards, excellent credit, etc. he called today and they just said it was still under review, nothing they could do. Is that unusual for a Disney credit card?
He got a letter in the mail yesterday (3/31) a week after applying saying he needed to call for identity verification. He did, and was approved. Weird they couldn’t tell him anything when he called the first time. But all good now.

Well, I have messed up. After all the indecision between deciding between CSP (requiring a downgrade of the current CSP) and Amex, I looked back at my notes and I saw that I could "line up" free night certs if I got an IHG biz to go with my IHG personal.... so I apped for that with 3 open INKS (2 CIC, 1 CIP with no balance on it) and got the 7-10 day message. This was on Friday and today is now Tuesday and I've gotten no calls from Fraud Prevention or anything, and a new card has not magically appeared in my Chase portal.

What are the ramifications of this (presumed denial for the Chase IHG biz) if I wanted to go ahead and go for the CSP elevated bonus?

Maybe look and see if there is a letter from Chase in your account about the application in your statements and documents

Ohhh thank you.

Yes, I do see a denial letter in there. OOPS.

Recommendations on how long to lay low with Chase? Anyone think they're likely to approve a personal card after a denial for a Biz card, and if so, how long should I wait?

Your chance for a personal is still decent. Make sure your total Chase CL is low.

Many aren't approved for a Chase biz with 3+ biz open now. Some still can be approved, but now you know you're not in that group.

Chase has tighten up on business approvals…since you have 3 open and not used that may have contributed to the denial…did the letter from Chase give reasons for the denial ? You may be fine going for a personal card…

Yes it says

Too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us
Insufficient business revenue

I will review CL's overall, PC my CSP to one of the Freedoms, and try for a new CSP in a week or so.

Thank you!

I don't know if this is an issue that all y'all have run across, but I'll ask, since there's not much you've not seen or heard about with credit cards. About a year ago, I had a question of rewards points, and y'all were very helpful.

I got a notice Saturday AM from Chase Visa that my Sapphire Preferred travel card was compromised, so I called and cancelled the number, and they expedited new cards. They arrived today, and I just spent about 2 hours updating ressies for an upcoming May/June European trip. Quite a hassle, especially this close to our trip.

I was able to do almost all the updates online, with one exception for a hotel in Sirmione, Italy. The phone conversation between me and the very courteous and helpful clerk reminded me of the old Lucy Show episodes when Lucy and Ricky Ricardo traveled overseas.

I'm really careful with my cards anymore, especially in restaurants where the card is handled by waiters. This particular trip involves several individual hotels, Booking.com, Viator excursions, and a couple of restaurants. I only use that card for travel, and not for everyday shopping or groceries.

Any helpful suggestions are welcome. We've probably had to update cards 4 or 5 times in the last five years.
