I use an Amazon Fire Tab with keyboard case on trips rather than bringing my Chromebook and a separate Kindle with me now. I can do about 90% of what I can do on my Chromebook with the Fire Tab. And for less than $200 all in, it works fine for me. I was getting sick of bringing my work laptop, personal Chromebook, Kindle, and phone with me for all of my work trips.

hmmm...will look into this.
And yes - only want to bring one device. Whatever I settle on will also replace my kindle scribe.

Has anyone had issues with Giftcards bought from Pepper? I tried to use a Chipotle and a Village Inn this weekend, and neither would work. Their systems would not accept them.

I have boughten Sams Club and Delta and havent had any issues. I wasnt using the weird pay via their app thing though. I typed in the GC numbers myself when using them.

My Blaze pizza and Amazon worked fine. But the Village Inn they typed the number in but their system rejected it. The Chipotle, I added it to my Chipotle app, but when I scanned it at the register it rejected it.

For Chipotle I might try ordering via the app yourself and see if it processes. But that is frustrating, I hope they are willing to assist you.

I'm dipping my toes into booking AA flights....I've read quite a bit and wanted to verify, booking on points is an easy cancel if needed,right? Also wondering, for one flight I booked thru Ak air on an AA flight, when I try to look at seats, it send me right over to AA to locate my trip, and AA can't find it...is it too soon after booking to try this? I have the conf. # from AK

Alaska charges a $12.50 partner fee that's nonrefundable. You can change the flight though and they don't recharge the fee.

I would want to make sure I can pull up the reservation on AA to make sure everything is fine and also to be able to check-in online.

Yeah, that one I might try again that way, when I finally ever go there again. The website shows me a balance. But the Village Inn website, does show my card does not exist.

Instant approval for CIU with insane credit limit! I was so hesitant to apply again after being denied back in November. For stats, 1 CIC (Closed CIU last fall and CIP earlier this month), 3 personal. It was so nice to see that instant approval! Using this card to pay taxes in April.

Nice!! Im more shocked by the insane limit. Personal cards they love to give me way too much. Business way too little.

first trip with my Away. smaller size carryon. loved it. the compression side was a huge help. used 2 packing cubes then compressed! other side was toiletries, shoes etc only 4 nights, not sure I could do 7-8

Remembered it Saturday evening and dropped into Lowe's on my way to dinner. The credit arrived Sunday!

I was pleased but surprised it credited on a weekend sale within 24 hours.

There are DPs that Paypal sometimes debits other payment methods, so yes, I would remove the bank account and any other linked cc's.

Mine did too. Bought $400 on two cards, got the credits over the weekend. I was pleased.

I want to look into getting an ipad for travel. I would like it to replace my laptop so I don't have to lug the lap top around.
I think the pro would do what I need, but with the keyboard, it would be almost like bringing my laptop. And it is costly.
Does anyone use an ipad mini with keyboard as a laptop replacement? I don't need it for work-related tasks. Just checking email, online cc and bank accounts, checking in on here, and other personal tasks that I don't want to use my phone for.

I use my iPad mini instead of a laptop….don’t have a keyboard though.

Not sure if anyone has previously posted, but just an FYI for anyone interested. I saw Chase has the 3 park tickets (that don’t include MK) listed for sale in their portal now. There’s also Epic Universe Deals as well. Just figured I’d post because you guys are always so helpful to me

I can't find the Epic Deals, but man I have never seen WDW tickets in the Chase portal! We do NOT need to plan a trip this soon but man that's tempting!
