I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Has anyone used Barclays for a HYSA? I've used C1 forever (although for a lot of reasons I have zero respect for them as a business). But I can't make my HYSA PoD to my trust. It looks like Barclays currently has a higher interest rate and I can make it PoD to my trust. Just wondering if anyone has any personal experience.

I've had one for years. The interrest rates are on par with my Discover savings. They did just recently redo their web interface and now it is merged with my jetblue card. It's really odd because I login through jetbluemastercard.com to get to my savings account. Other than that I have no complaints. I moved my one bucket of savings over to that account a year or two ago because my C1 account interest rate kept going down to almost nothing while the Barclay's kept up with increasing rates.

That's good to know about the trust as I'm finally sorting out what to do. Have a meeting with a lawyer in May to go over options. I have a handful of HYSA because I'd rather it just be separate than have to track what's for what or have buckets at Ally, though I do have one for the boys there (my dogs). I'll have to look into what banks allow it, hadn't expected them to be an issue like it may be other investment stuff.

I hope the fur baby is okay! I've had that happen before, last May, and the vet hospital was nice enough to allow me to change my payment method a week later once my new card arrived--that is, they refunded the previous payment and took payment again with the new card. I had to talk to the office manager but worth asking because it was $6K.

And congrats on the INK and the car!

Thanks!
Fluffy kitty is doing better for now. Finally has his appetite back, but can't seem to knock out his upper respiratory infection.

I probably could have gotten them to change the card after the fact, but I was struggling with everything else going on and didn't get a chance. It was a rough weekend with the cat struggling, my car dying, my parents canceling their visit for health reasons. I just considered the CIC app a win! And I'm gonna do some creative accounting on the vet bill to make myself feel better, like float the rest of my triple cash purchases in the amount of the vet visit.

Looking for a new carry-on. I want to learn how to pack for 7-10 days without checking a luggage. I prefer hard-sided. Show me carry-ons you love.

I may be misunderstanding this but my lawyer gave me instructions that I’m trying to follow. I’ve been able to take care of this with Wells Fargo and my brokerage accounts but for c1 it has to be a person, and when I googled it, this sounds common.

Yeah, my advisor at Edward Jones isn't sure you can use the trust for everything including 401k. Also not sure if it differs between states. He said there's also tax issues too. I don't/won't have kids so need a way to manage what goes where vs individual accounts with varying amounts of money.

I have AWAY now, and it has a great warranty, but if you can spring for it, Briggs and Riley is the way to go. Im just not ready to spend the money on it right now costco next typically has good deals on it.

Ordered a hot thing made with potato and cheese and it was okay. Grabbed a protein drink from the cool stuff which my DD drank. I tasted it and found it gross. And my usual hot chai tea latte which was delicious. I think there was something else but I can't remember.

That's my Sbux drink too! Tall, hot, shot of blonde with oatmilk. In my opinion it tastes very similar to hot chocolate, but has much less calories than a hot chocolate.

personally I prefer a soft sided carryon for ease of stuffing it (if needed lol) I bought a simple tote type bag, it has 2 zippers around the body to expand or shrink it down, and 4 wheels that are easily detachable on bottom (I think Biaggi might make one like it but I bought a random off brand one on Amazon) it has the 2 soft handle which are easy to kind of pull it like a dog on a leash in airport, and it weighs next to nothing so when I fill it with stuff I can still lift it to the overhead bin. I have a bad shoulder, and every suitcase I found weighed too much empty, which is why I'm using this now.

Thank you. I was considering the AWAY, but wanted to see other options. As I researched more, it became too confusing. Each brand has different pros and cons. I haven't looked at the Briggs and Riley yet. What makes it special (besides the cost)?

Thank you. Do you have a link? I will consider soft-sided, it if does the job.

just read this
Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders will now receive a $10 monthly Lyft credit, meaning potential savings of up to $120 annually. The credit does not apply to Wait & Save, bike or scooter rides.

Sapphire Reserve cardholders will also earn 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft purchases, a decrease from their previous earning rate of 10 points per dollar through March 31.

All other Chase cards

If you carry the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, you'll earn 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft rides (for a 10.25% return based on TPG's valuations).

Has anyone had issues with Giftcards bought from Pepper? I tried to use a Chipotle and a Village Inn this weekend, and neither would work. Their systems would not accept them.

I don;t have a link at the moment- it was described as an expandable foldable duffel with detachable wheels- like I said kind of a random brand/buy- I paid around $35 for it and I really like it.

I'm dipping my toes into booking AA flights....I've read quite a bit and wanted to verify, booking on points is an easy cancel if needed, right? Also wondering, for one flight I booked thru Ak air on an AA flight, when I try to look at seats, it send me right over to AA to locate my trip, and AA can't find it...is it too soon after booking to try this? I have the conf. # from AK

Thanks. I just searched on Amazon and looked at them. I want something a little more sturdy. EVERY flight I have taken recently asked for people to "check" their carryons for free at the gate. I want something more durable that I will be comfortable checking if I choose to. But these do look great for the price.

Yes, If you book AA on points, you can cancel easy. I've done it multiple times when points have gone down.

For AK, you have an AK confirm # and a different AA confirm #. Are you using the one for AA?

Not directly CC related, but it is related to travel and I will earn CC rewards with the purchase:

I want to look into getting an ipad for travel. I would like it to replace my laptop so I don't have to lug the lap top around.
I think the pro would do what I need, but with the keyboard, it would be almost like bringing my laptop. And it is costly.
Does anyone use an ipad mini with keyboard as a laptop replacement? I don't need it for work-related tasks. Just checking email, online cc and bank accounts, checking in on here, and other personal tasks that I don't want to use my phone for.

I use an Amazon Fire Tab with keyboard case on trips rather than bringing my Chromebook and a separate Kindle with me now. I can do about 90% of what I can do on my Chromebook with the Fire Tab. And for less than $200 all in, it works fine for me. I was getting sick of bringing my work laptop, personal Chromebook, Kindle, and phone with me for all of my work trips.

so from what I can see,I only have the one number they show on the Ak website under my trips..... I'll go back and search carefully- I looked, my page only has one conf# code on it. Not sure why but I'm assuming I'm ok to fly and they'll assign a seat? it's a short flight so I don't care much where
