I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Booked our November 2026 Mediterranean (Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro) on Princess using URs. Left $100 balance in case the price drops. Nice being able to travel off season. I'm sure Rome will still be mobbed, but at least it won't be sweltering.

I'm just catching up from vacation, but wondered if you get any perks for booking the cruise through Chase Travel (other than using the URs for payment)? We've mainly booked our cruises through Costco and using 10% off gift cards purchased through AARP. Those have dried up and they are harder to get, so might start booking through Chase with URs.

Just curious if there's any OBC or anything booking with Chase.

Thanks!

I didn't but I really didn't know what I was doing so I'm not sure if that was just due to me not knowing what I was doing.

I think the answer is yes, but for the Hilton Surpass/Biz statement credits, it applies to ALL of your purchases during the quarter up to the credit amount (not just a single purchase, right?

So I don't know if this was mentioned before but I wasn't aware of it.

The CSR DoorDash Dining money keeps getting worse and worse.

Originally when it was on the card (I can't remember if this was at launch or added later) you received $60 to use on Door Dash up front.

This worked very similar to a Chase Offer on ones that are worded until $xxx back is received.

You would get the 3x on dining and then a credit would be applied towards your statement.
You could also use DD Promotions along with it.
If you didn't spend the whole amount not an issue and you could use it on another DD purchase.

Then they changed to DD credits in the app of $5 a month and would allow you to roll over the $5 twice to accumulate $15 every 3 months.
Not as ideal and you because they were credits you couldn't use promotion codes.

Well now apparently they switched to $5 a month but will not roll over.
So not knowing this I lost February's credit when they made the change.
I didn't try and test a promo code but just be aware to use the $5 DD credit every month.

I just cancelled Ireland...UGH! I swear, someday I'll get my daughter there. She is in a good place, but doesn't want to go. So no reason to force a trip. I just have to make sure I use these damn avios some day! I need to have my mom move her points around to create some activity on her account.

With the announcement of Harry Styles doing the sphere, I told her we'll work on getting her tickets to a show and get a nice room there, LOL. I told her maybe I'll have her get another CC and try to earn some points for it. How successful can a 20yo be getting a CSP? She's has the Discover It she's been using it monthly for small purchases.

I got an email saying the decision on my mess up application (Hilton Honors) from Saturday was made. But when I click on the link, my application and status isn't listed there. I don't know if I should call and ask since it was a NLL link? Can I just try again in a few weeks? I might just have my DD try for a card and put my upcoming spends on that. If we live in the same house can we combine our URs?

What?! I didn't know about the change either, did it happen in Feb? I guess I lost out on that month as well.

Apparently. I knew they were changing the credit to the fact you couldn't combine with the grocery one anymore and that it could only be used for dining. Just didn't realize that there were more changes like not being able to roll it over.

It makes it much harder to use now since the majority of places mark their food up to begin with and then you have to use it every month.

Not sure when it changed but shows up on chase's site

Any thoughts on how difficult US Bank biz cards are to get approved for? In puj with Amex and recent denial with Chase, so looking for another option. Big spend coming up that I hate to waste.

Our first was also instant, with no prior relationship. Same biz details that we use with Chase. We haven't tried for a second yet.

It doesn't seem that hard, especially the first couple. They care about being in footprint, deposit accounts, and number of inquiries.

I have 3 open, pushed my luck and tried for 2 more on the same day (only 1 pull), but that failed lol. Will try again when I can cancel 2.

My dd got the CSP when she was 19; prior to that she was an AU on my Hyatt card. She has now been approved for 2 Inks and Hilton personal and biz cards. Yes, you can transfer her URs to your account.

What are the benefits of a US bank biz card? I've looked at their cards and haven't been excited but maybe I'm missing something. I'm in their footprint.

Do business cards count too?

Yes.

I'm confused. I thought the CSR got 2 non-restaurant $10 credits plus 1 $5 restaurant credit , and nothing rolled over. Maybe I've been missing out. I've yet to even use the credits because my options are limited where I live.

I opened a CD with them before trying for my first card since I'm not in their footprint. I've since completed two bank bonuses. Also just opened my second biz card. Most cards were instant approvals.
