I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I just read how to do a Hilton points transfer to another member and I thought I’d check here to see if anyone knows of any issues or problems that I should know before I do it. I remember seeing something about not trying a “small sample transfer” first because then the second larger transfer may get delayed. But I don’t remember if that was regarding Hilton points transfer or another points currency. It’s a large amount of points and, for some reason, I am being a nervous nelly lol.

I transferred a few thousands from DH account to myself a few weeks back, to have enough points for a booking. They showed up immediately in my account, and I remember it being really easy.

I have never had an issue and they usually show up right away.

Cap1 venture...100k bonus.... sounds like a great thing...yes? no? I have no cap1 at all for so many years

So in addition to hitting my Cap X SUB right away, and then the IHG bonus right away....I still have $$$$ in medical to pay, and tomorrow I'm dropping $3k on a downpayment for a car for my 15yo. UGH. I guess I'll put it on the surpass towards the FNC and I'll look at getting something for the medical bills. I hate having all these spends and not having a SUB to put them towards. I guess I can just knock out the Surpass FNC faster this year, LOL.

Oh and I guess I'm lucky, no Inks on my credit reports...but my score did drop 27pts! I think from the Cap X in Jan, followed by the IHG in Feb. And I'm sure the Trax going on my credit report will help too, LOL. Oh well. Hopefully I get the score back up.

Have the regular and the VenX. I have had the regular Venture forever that im still grandfathered in
the 59 fee. The Venture X i planned to cancel but recently I added my stepdaughter before she went
3 week overseas with her BF. Apparently she was thrilled the amount of money they saved using
the priority pass at airports. I only added her in case she ran into an emergency I forgot about PP. lol

I'm still pleased with Venture as I find the CS experience fast and helpful. * They are known to pull
all 3 bureaus.*

It's a good offer, but check the preapproval tool first. If the card shows up you're likely to be approved (not guaranteed though is what I hear), if not then unlikely and you don't need to waste an inquiry to all 3 credit bureaus. Link

I’m trying to plan a trip to Hawaii for either 2026 or 2027 for my family of 4. I currently have 145k AA points, and would need a minimum of 180k AA points. I’m locked out of any more AA cards for a while, but I saw some discussion on here that Alaska points can be used to book flights on AA. I’m looking for a new SUB, and was thinking maybe I should try for the BoA Alaska Biz card for 70k points. Is there any reason why using the Alaska points wouldn’t work in my case? I’m assuming that you don’t combine the miles, so I’d have to book the tickets separate (using AA points and Alaska points), so I’d have to make sure if I had enough per ticket, but anything else I’m not thinking of? Thank you!

I’d do a mock booking on Alaska to see if your route shows up on points. Then you’d know the number of points you’d need. You can’t combine Alaska and AA points so you’d have to book separately.

Often partner award availability isn't as good as direct. You'll have to see how it looks on Alaska.

Do you have a deposit account with BoA? That will increase your Alaska biz approval chances. You can also get Alaska miles by getting Hawaiian miles. There are 2 personal options - Barclays HA 70k for $1000 spend or Barclays/Bank of Hawaii HA 70k for 1 purchase. HA biz is 50k for $4000 spend. Or you can do Amex -> Hawaiian (this part will go away at some point) -> Alaska.

I don't see the 100K bonus. The only offer I can pull is 75K pts and $250 travel credit. Is there an offer that is 100K all pts?

Do we have any Le Creuset experts here? Planning a fairly substantial purchase sometime this year and wondering if there are any times that they run especially good sales. Black Friday maybe? They have a few things on sale now, and I'm keeping my impulse buying under control (barely!) by thinking that I should wait and see if they will offer better deals later in the year.

It looks like Chase has removed my cards from Experian, but it's still showing the hard pulls for the business cards. Anyone think they can remove those?

I'm not an expert by any means, but I bought one piece (a Dutch oven) back when we were stuck at home and I needed it to bake sourdough. I love it but it's very heavy.

Is that a NLL offer? I had a biz gold almost 7 years ago.
Yes, NLL.
I tried all the links on our Reddit, but none brought up the 200k. DOC also has links but none of them brought it up for me either. I googled and found the Danny the Deal
Guru one that worked. It says it’s a targeted offer. So maybe there is a risk in using the link. I impulsively went for it when I saw it, hope I don’t end up regretting it.
