I see 40,000 UR pending in my acct from DH's Aug 14 CIC application.

Waiting for the CIP expedited card to arrive today and worrying that they didn't actually expedite it, Amex sends emails and texts every step of the card journey, Ive gotten nothing from Chase. I shouldn't have waited so long apply.
Usually takes 3 business days for me, so if approved on a Monday, arrived on a Thursday. And then I sometimes also get the non-expedited version of the card a few days later!

Time for me to apply for a card and the plan was to get another CIU. The 750k was fine until I saw the CIP 120K. But 8K was a bit high.

Then the 90K rumor popped up and I was back to the CIU.

Now I'm impatiently waiting for it to become available without having to go 'in branch'. I want to app directly for the 90K instead of requesting a match, but I do have a tiny time constraint as I will be paying my property taxes. If it isn't available fast enough I'll do the 750K.

I am needing to get another card to pay off our DVC contract. I am at 2/24. Any advice on which way to go for DVC? If it's with a Chase Ink Card Id need to do that asap since the referral goes down 09/04.
I recently got the Amex Gold w/ 200k bonus.
I have had a CIP for a long time and just referred my husband hoping to get the 120k plus 40k referral bonus.

Should my husband refer me to
Chase Ink Premier is $195 AF $1k bonus and 2.5% CB
CIU is $750 no AF 1.5% CB, possible match to $900 but is a gamble.
Try to get another CIP for myself. Id get 3% points since DVC is a travel purchase.

All in all the CIP isnt a super valuable card for me as an everyday card. Since we are under the wire for bonus cut offs Im a bit nervous, is it likely to go to review since I already have a CIP? I referred him to the CIP can he refer me back for that same card?

Any other options I should consider?

TBH Id love to get a CR but the bonus is a low 60k.

Yes, DH can and should support you for whichever Ink you go for. It may go to review, but not usually because you have one other CIP, some applicants just go to manual review. Sounds like you don't have a high velocity, so I wouldn't worry about it getting approved based on the info you shared.

I personally would go for the CIP (preferred, NOT Premier), because it's an all time high offer and all time high support offer, so it's really a no brainer. The support offer will be for 100k, but then SM to request they match you to the public offer of 120k. Including support, the match and 3x, if that's what you'll get, you'll be hauling in 184k URs, which is pretty awesome for $8k spend.

The Ink Premier doesn't transfer to travel partners and I don't think you can combine URs from this card with your other card. I would not go in this direction.

Thanks! I was thinking this would be the best value but could not decide.

how much do you need to pay off on the contract ? The CIP(Preferred…don’t get the Premier) and CIU usually have lower credit limits given…I’ve seen as low as $3,000 or $5,000.
Chases personal cards usually get much higher limits but as you pointed out the bonus isn’t as high as the Inks

Very true but they should be able to transfer some of the credit line from their other CIP to help.
If not wanting to tie up all of your cash the CIU would give you an 0% for 12 months but obviously not as many points.

Not sure if DVC codes as travel, but if it does, the CIP gets 3x points.

Yes you can send him a support link it will be for the 100k bonus…after he is approved…he would send Chase a SM asking to be matched to the 120k bonus
Finally went in to try to do this and when I choose my CIP, it says "get bonus points for every friend who is approved for the IHG card"

I do have an IHG card. I clicked through all my available cards and each one changed to the same card (does that make sense?) EXCEPT for the CIP, which is the one I wanted to use. When I click on the CIP it reverts to the IHG bonus.

Am I doing something wrong? (I haven't been good about this in the past so it's not a process I am super familiar with).

Try going here: https://www.chase.com/referafriend/catch-all

Put in your info and it should generate a link. If you click the copy button it also copies the link with a bunch of chase stuff to insert in an email so I just highlight the link shown and copy and test it with a different browser.

Reminder for people with the personal Amex Gold card - Dunkin' Donuts $7/mo and Resy $50/semiannual is open for enrollment now, and it does require enrollment because it's not an automatic benefit.

Looks like both DH & I will fall under the new increased fee of $325...by 24 days. Boooo.

Chase has a flaw on the business cards. Personal cards select the card you came from, business cards show the first card in the list. Can you check the top of the page for a drop down list? It looks like this when I do it from the app, the web should be similar -

At the bottom of the list are my business cards, but instead of "Credit Card" they show my first initial, last name before the 4 digits.
