Hopefully you are not using the pooling feature because its instant to Chase but then if you need to transfer to the family pool it takes another 24 hours.

Ended up having to transfer more points as the flight I was trying to book went up in that waiting period.
Yes, I was also afraid of flights going back up, since today is the lowest I've seen it in many weeks of checking. Not using the pooling feature, just transferred direct to one of our accounts and already booked the flights. I had 17k miles stranded out there in United for the past 2 years... finally found a good use for them and only had to top off with 6000 URs transferred, so I call it a win for today, and I was able to drain United down to basically zero :) lol.

Apple Pay will not work to get you extra % back.

Sam’s App and the store do not accept it.

I thought iPhone safari used to work but it is not giving me the option now

I get that, but I can get a straight 5% discount from $200 DGC at Sam’s + 1% from using the virtual card #, and then the $100 offer.

I bought 3x$200 DGC for $570. 1% off brings that down to $564.70 - $100 = $464.70

Winds up being about a 23% discount. It wasn’t my first card choice, but like I said - not many banks were willing to offer me a SUB atm.

I did also get an FNBO evergreen yesterday, which has a $200 SUB plus 2%. Gonna use that on the next batch of Sam’s gift cards.

Learned the hard way you cant use pooled points for partner bookings.

Chase is quick today. SM to close one of P2 inks. Got the call within an hour, and the card was closed about an hour later.
Deciding if I should app for them, we have two large spends coming very very soon. $5k and $11k.
Have to do the CIP with support in the next couple of days yes? Makes me nervous with him and Chase since they have two cards of his, in a separate login because they say the SS doesn't match his other cards (which isn't true). That account has a CIP and CIU, his main account has 2 CIU.
Instant approval for him. And it went into the Random account again, not the one he has had for years. I do not understand. Oh well. That account had an open CIP almost exactly a year old, and a CIU. His account that he has had forever only has one open Ink now.
The annoying part is we cannot combine the points in that account, with any of our other accounts.

You guys would be proud of me -

I was in charge of an educational program today, and had arranged for someone from a funeral parlor to speak. I had given him a list of potential issues to discuss, including:

If someone prepays for their funeral, do they have to pay with a check, or can they put it on a credit card?

(Seemed like a great way to meet a credit card spend. Unfortunately, his answer was that they won't take credit cards for that purpose because they don't want to eat the fee.)

Sounded promising prepay for your final trip while hitting the minimum spend to help with your next one.

And this does work on purchases made through the Dunkin app, FYI. Also, I was new to the Dunkin app and new accounts get an offer for a free drink with any order for two weeks.

I've never used Resy, so that will be new for me.
I've read dps that loading the app works, but this is the first time that I've tried it myself. Hope to know in a few days.

About Resy, I think it just needs to be a restaurant available on Resy and not necessarily reserved through Resy to count for the credit. At least I hope so.

I believe this is the case. I never made a reservation through Resy but I have an email from Amex saying that I triggered the Resy credit (went out with a friend who chose the place and I had no idea it was even on Resy).

Loading the app works, I've done it twice.

It just needs to be a restaurant listed on the resy site. And you have to have enrolled. There's been a couple of random places that have counted due to coding or location discussed on r/Amex but it seems to mostly be working as it should.

We just signed up and our payment was 64.99. In the long run you are better off with the lower bill!

I have it on several cards also but it expires 9/30 and I'm too lazy to change the card it's on for another month.
I wish you could prepay as I have it on several cards but my bill is after 9/27 when they expire

I used my CSP Door Dash non-restaurant $10 today to order two bottled Starbucks drinks from a local gas station/convenience store. It was $10.37 for something I normally wouldn't purchase. However, these bottled coffees actually came in handy because I am housesitting right now and don't have my regular coffee options available. Now I need to add a reminder in my calendar so I don't forget to use the credit each month.

ETA: Do I need to create new Door Dash accts to use my Freedom Flex and Unlimited quarterly credits? I just tried to activate my Unlimited Dash Pass benefit but it took me directly to my Sapphire membership page which says it expires in 2027.

I just found out that one of the gas stations has 12 packs of Diet Coke for $9.99.

With $30 in credits I won’t be buying soda at the grocery store anymore

Sigh. I have a YouTubeTV offer on several cards: Spend $57.99 and get $20 cash back. My bill comes to $57.79. :badpc:
Can't you tack on a movie rental for that month to take you over $57.99? You still come out ahead with $20 back.
