My CSP travel portal redemption must have just been a temporary glitch ( lasted 2 days that I saw). All is back to normal and redemption is back to 1.25. :-)
Yesterday the Chase Sapphire reddit had a lot of posts this issue, and the consensus was a temporary glitch since CS saw the right number of points on their end if you called to book (and then it resolved).

*sigh* only you folks here will understand the irritation.

Over the weekend my husband says "ooh look at this" and double clicks the side button on his phone to bring up his Apple Pay. He got an Apple Card.:rolleyes2. Not the end of the world but still VERY ANNOYING!

It could be worse like “I saved $10 by opening this Old Navy card!!”

Awesome hubby now you are at 5/24 enjoy the couch tonight

Curious if anyone has a DP on this. DH applied for a CIP with my referral link and got the "We need to review your applcation" message. This is odd because he is currently solicited as "preapproved" for this same card. I waited too long and now Im afraid this review wont be done by 09/02 the ending time for the 120k

P2 used CSP to book a hotel and we received the credit. A little while later we discovered that place was not going to work as our plans had changed.
P2 cancelled the hotel and was refunded but the $50 credit still shows.
Will they claw back the credit? If so it is not a problem as we have the need to book another room.

The other thing is the reservation is still showing up on the Travel Portal so not sure if this has actually been cancelled even though our $$ were refunded.

Anyone have any similar experiences?
I've cancelled and rebooked, and not lost the credit. I haven't read any DPs of claw backs. If I'm remembering correctly, it can take a while for cancelled reservations to disappear. I keep the cancellation confirmation email just in case there's an issue.

I still have not received support points for a CIU app from June 30. This was P2 supporting me so I guess I better keep an eye on my account as well. The SUB posted and has been in my account for a couple weeks now. And it’s now been 8 weeks so I guess it’s time to SM.

They did not claw back my $50 this past April. I'm not sure if the reservation continued to show as I don't remember, but nothing is there right now. Prior to canceling I did use the portal to book and stay at the Swan in February, but that was all points as I'd already used and still held the canceled reservation at that time.

Thanks. Mine is still showing in the portal and never received the cancellation email from chase although my card was refunded.
I guess I'm going to need to call the hotel to see what is going on.

If you app'ed and eventually get approved, you will get the 120K because that was the SUB for your application. Keep an eye on your account if this was very recent (like yesterday) and check for the card appearing there in the next few days. Good luck!

DOC had up that the CIU was going to be 90K but I still haven't seen that.

Should I refer P2 to it now @ 75k + 40k referral = 115k points or wait a little bit and possible miss out on the referral with it being 90k + 20k referral = 110K points.

I know the 40k referral is ending soon so really hope I can slide in and get the 90K + 40K for 130K points.

I don't have mine either from P2 using my link and our apps were approved about the same time. What's worse is I had planned to cancel this card since my AF hit on 8/1. Now I'm not sure if I should eat the AF just to be safe or go ahead and cancel/PC.

I would wait a few days. The 90k CIU is in branch now. Hopefully it'll be online soon and there'll be match DPs.

If you PC, the support should still go to that card. If you cancel, it'll need to hit within 30 days so you can move the points out.

Thanks! They called my husband this morning but he was too afraid to give any info since I didnt really explain to him I opened the card, by the time he messaged me only like 2 min had passed the rep had hung up.

Since they called him, it's likely identify verification. He should call back. If you used a support, then you applied under the 100k offer. You need to get it approved before the 120k offer expires for best chances of matching.

Definitely under the wire! He called back was on hold for 7 min and got disconnected, geez Chase.

Got it squared away. On DOC it seems since he doesn't currently have any business accounts with Chase he has to wait for the card in order get it registered online to ask for a match?
Edit: talked to Chase and yes having the card is the only way to get it registered since he doesnt have a business account. They did expedite the card so hoping it arrives soon.

I decided I wanted to upgrade our room at Los Altos in Costa Rica from a garden view to a treetop suite (for an April 2025 trip). I booked through the Chase portal and it says you have to cancel and rebook if you want to modify. I don't know if anyone remembers but I had trouble originally booking since it showed as Sold Out in the portal under my CSR (it's part of The Edit program), but I could book it in the portal using my CIP. At 1.25 as opposed to 1.5 it cost me more points, but I still did it. So today I cancelled the room under my CIP and happened to check using my CSR and lo and behold it looked bookable. I put in 5 guests (me, DH and three teens) and it showed the available rooms. One of which was Treetop suite, BUT it says 1 king bed, as though that's the only bed. It didn't list all the beds like it did when I booked with the CIP. I booked it anyway (it's refundable). But what does everyone think about this? Especially those who have been before? The reservation clearly says 5 guests. Will they open the other bedrooms for us? Will there be an additional cash charge? I was so excited to book a better room and use less points, but not if 5 of us are sharing one king bed! Thanks so much for any insights! I'm assuming it has something to do with the fact it's part of the Edit thing that gives free breakfast for 2 and $100 hotel credit per day. I'm thinking I'll call the hotel to confirm we'll have access to the other rooms, but wanted to see what people here thought.

Those are luxury condos. At least 3 bedrooms. The master is a king with en suite. Look here https://www.realtor.com/internation...io-manuel-antonio-puntarenas-120069177778////

ETA When we stayed they opened all 3 bedrooms even though we had only 3 people . They said it was because we booked through Hyatt so YMMV. Maybe if you book through Chase/The Edit instead of direct or local, they give perks. But you can call or email them. Info@losaltoresort.com

If I am understanding this scenario correctly, which is closing a card before the support pts hit, this may not be accurate. I had someone use an Ink support, forgot they had used it and closed that card before the support pts hit. I remembered the support pts (within 30 days) and was told I was NOT eligible for the support pts because I closed my card. That was back in January. I still had other Inks open, but they said it didn't matter. They told me the card has to be open when the support is used and when the pts awarded.

I've seen successful DPs, but maybe it's hit or miss.

@smallsy On second thought, maybe it's safest to wait until the support goes pending and then PC to get a prorated refund.
