Question. Going to Disney in October. Staying at Dolphin. Booked trip with Chase CSR. Everything is linked to My Disney for myself and DD. Now my SIL is going to come with us. Can I just call the Dolphin myself and have her name added to the reservation or do I need to go through Chase on this? Assuming it will then be updated in their system so I can link us all together then right?
If it was me, and the price was the same, I would just rebook for 3 and relink. I went through a similar situation last year when I needed to add my DS. It took several calls and chats to get it fixed and linked correctly.

Just a note that I was traveling the first two weeks of July and the text notification told me $12/day. Not sure if it's an increased rate (I've always had $10 in the past) or the location(s) which were Kenya, Tanzania, and Qatar.
This is correct. Those are the texts that I received as well. We were in Europe for 3 weeks in June and July and AT&T now charges $12/day with a max of 10 daily fees per line per bill.

I ended up calling the Dolphin first to see. They added a person on no problem. Told me it would be updated online within 4 hours. Took a bit longer than that - but now shows 3 in the room on My Disney Experience and I was able to connect SIL to the trip. So, easier than I thought.

At some point last week I finished spend on my Brilliant upgrade. The points were deposited on Friday July 26. Amex was on the ball as I knew I met spend but wasn't expecting the points so quickly. It's getting easier and easier to meet these spends. I had 6 months for this one and easily did it in under 3 months, even though it's Amex and I can't buy giftcards. The extra points look good in my account. It was 85K but with the 6k spend it comes to a little over 98K with all the restaurant money spent at 3%.

I'll need a new card by end of September to pay my taxes. I want a UR biz card so I'm sort of watching for or hoping for another upgraded SUB such as we had last September. Adding - by waiting til late September I can start collecting my Disney Gift cards to pay my DVC dues, hopefully getting some 'deals' along the way.

Looks like Chase extended Dashpass and the $5 monthly credit on CSR through 2027. They also added some monthly promo coupons, of $10 off (x2) for retail and grocery orders, for the CSR. This is under your promotions tab in checkout. More details from OMAAT

We have a gas station near us and I can do pickup. Free 12 pack of soda? Other peeps on reddit report they have liquor stores near them that have a pickup option.

Also, through 8/8, I see an Aldi Doordash coupon STOCKUP50 for 50% off $80 orders (up to $50 off). Cannot stack with other promos, like the $10 above. But I believe you could use your $5 credit. Pickup isn't an option for me, but for $40 off and no delivery or service fees, I don't mind the gratuity for the savings!!

I see these offers and just picked up my Aldi Instacart order. 😭. No Aldi pickup on Door dash but I’ll have to look around and see what else I can do

So the Xfinity monopoly in our neighborhood is finally broken as Verizon has put in fiber optic for internet. But what to do about TV? I think I have seen people here mention using YouTube TV. As an old person who fears change, would love to hear good experiences with it! Would certainly be cheaper.
Can you share what TV you like to watch? We have had good experiences with YouTubeTV but have gone without it for the past 6months or so and don't miss it at all. Seems we use other free or free with cc streaming services, and some smaller paid streaming services. I think OOP we pay about $25 a month.

darn, my acount not eligible! would have loved it, but $10 plus $5 is good enough for a small order

Honestly, I mostly watch the local networks, but we can't get all of them by antenna. DH watches more syfy and FX stuff, we do have Netflix and Amazon Prime

In the closet I've ever cut it for MSR, I'm counting days right now for Barclays and not confident in their MSR period. What has been people's experience for how they count? Like AmEx is 92 or 183 for 3/6 mo offers, Chase is 115 days, etc. Is it 90 on the dot from approval? I don't know exactly when it was approved but I think my worse case scenario was 4/30. If so, I missed it. If there's wiggle I may have still missed it as the last transaction was 7/31 but they listed the trans date as 8/1. :rolleyes2

I would still try the support first since you never know and it doesn't hurt to try.

This was a Hilton personal card? I've read that even when you don't add SSN, they can link it to the person and it gets on their credit report (and count towards 5/24). I think at the point of adding additional users, you're already approved. So if it happens again, I'd look for other ways to verify like approval e-mail, application status website, or if the card shows up in your account.
Good advice and I’m glad I took it since our support links worked perfectly on our last two applications. You are right it wasn’t a good move to add DD as authorized user on the first application. Oh well maybe it will help her get approval on her first Amex application in a year or so.

I love YouTube tv. I think I’ve been using it for 3 or 4 years.

For those of you with experience booking Aer Lingus with Avios, is 13K one way in economy a good deal?

Has anyone stayed at the Conrad Orlando yet? If so, any tips on making the most of the resort? Taking my 16 yo nephew for a quick fall break Disney trip. We are only doing Epcot and MNSSHP. Then 2 nts at the Conrad resort (using FNC and $200 Aspire resort credit). I thought he would enjoy the pool area, it looks amazing.

ANY help or pointers would be welcome.

I did such a good job booking airfare for my parents last Spring/Summer 2023 from Milan-Singapore-Bangkok-HongKong-Taipei-Dubai-JFK all in business class (except HKG-Taipei) that my parents want me to do it again this Fall 2024 without the complicated itinerary this time.

They want to start from NY to HKG and then end up home to Miami. They want to leave at the beginning of November 2024 and return anytime in January 2025. They don't mind stopping through any Asia country, basically repositioning in the US and/or Asia.

I can't find any available business class tickets redeemable for miles to Asia in November but I also don't know where to look. I looked at Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates. Either no available flights on miles or it was 400k/pp each way (Emirates).

My parents have:
504,755 URs (min 120k more soon from the CIP SUB)
115,415 MRs
84,099 CapitalOne
37,804 BILT points

They are willing to use them all on airfare. However, I can't find anything that works and I'm getting a headache.

Business Class is a must due to their age, 80 and 89 this year.

I am tempted to have them pay cash for 2 business class rd trip tickets which will run them about $10-12K! :faint:

If they need to pay cash, I would get a new card and get a SUB out of the tickets. What card should they get to put the air ticket on? Unfortunately, neither of them qualify for a CSR. Mom has the CSR and Dad has the CSP and they both got the Sapphire SUB in Nov of 2021. Should they use a card that includes some travel insurance? Any suggestions for a new card? I think I will also look to purchase some sort of medical evacuation insurance for them, if available.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
