Yes, because inquiries show up on your personal credit report whether it's a personal or biz card. You have 6 inquiries in the last 6 months on the credit agency that Barclays pulls for you?

Oh I have misunderstood. I thought it was 6 inquiries in the last 24 months.

According to Credit Karma, and looking under TransUnion, it doesn't show ANY hard pulls in the last 18 months, actually. I don't know how accurate that is.

But as someone mentioned upthread, maybe better to just try?

What does Barclay's look for as far as recent inquiries, recently opened cards, etc?

I'm was at 6\24 with quite a few inquiries and got approved for the Hawaiian airlines card. One purchase for 70k miles. I've churned through several AA Barclays cards. Close after one year and apply again in 6 months. I guess that's going away. I plan on transferring my Hawaiian miles to Alaska.

I had just done a quick google search and read articles on like, Upgraded Points and Nerdwallet. It wasn't super thorough research but thought I would give it a try since I don't have a lot of AMEX options (my usual go to for immediate card numbers). It didn't pay off this time, I guess.

As far as mobile wallet, I just hoped I could add it through the BOA app like normal. But apparently it is too new because I am getting weird error messages.

If you've had a barclays card before, and hint to everyone applying today. Once the card shows up in the app you can add it to your digital wallet. Though if you needed a min spend and not one purchase it's not helpful.

If you don't have an account already I don't know if they are like others and make you wait until you get the card or not.

Also don't know how out there this info is but I generally do my 1 charge on the card and pay it before I even get it in the mail.

I got the jet blue card in June with a 26k credit limit. I applied for the AA Aviator in September and it went under review. After a few days I called and they asked if I’d be willing to move some of the credit from Jet blue to AA. I said sure and they approved the card.

Do you have the number to call? Or should I wait for the physical JB Barclay card and call the number on the back?

I think I've gotten pretty much everyone in my family to sign up for this card in the past few months, lol. I wish I had gotten mine earlier than last year so I could cancel it and get anotherapplied in edge and fireefox

It essentially means you can use the calendar year credits in December 2024, in 2025, and then again in early 2026. Your second annual fee should not hit until January 2026 and you still have another 30 days beyond that to use the credits and cancel to refund the 2nd fee.

Schwab Platinum question. DH and I have a joint brokerage account. My understanding is we can each apply for the Schwab Platinum card with this account. However, when I click the application it pre-fills my name and doesn’t allow me to change it to his name. Has anyone had experience with this? I’d like to get him his own Platinum card while the offer is elevated.

well that did it..I was also 'influenced' fomo got the better of me and I app'd.... under review (prob bc of the insanely high CL from my HA app 2 months ago) so now with Barclays we just wait and see?

called to apply. took forever, p2 applied. approved with "only" 13k limit!.

and my JB arrived yesterday. paid car insurgence so that msr is done. Bilt also came so I made that the default Amazon card to ensure the 5 transactions per month.

probably need to relax on cards awhile! I'll just use my Hilton amex and get the 15k quickly in Janaury for fnc

End of the saga..DH approved 2hrs after application went pending. No pop up even though he has received the bonus for the Vanilla Platinum. Thought I would add this DP considering the new family language rules Amex has started implementing.
