Any particular way they went about it? I just called and the person was very unimpressed with me, lol. I figured I would try again later and see if I get a friendlier agent

ETA: second time calling the agent transferred me to an account specialist and she waived my fee. Pretty cool, also got spend $300 per month Nov, Dec, Jan, and earn 2K AA miles, total 6K miles. Glad I called again!

ETA again: DH got AF refunded, did not have a spend/miles offer. But at least AF back

Got mine in 3 minutes from time of order!

I was happy for this as we will be at Hilton Head Disney Resort over Thanksgiving (with family) and then I continue on to Boardwalk Villas.

Mine are being put toward our Norwegian cruise in August. I feel like I've been saying this for the last 2+ years, but I really need a vacation!

I also got the email about 2,000 AA bonus miles with Flight Cents on the Red Aviator card, want to go ahead and do that since I'll be keeping the card another year anyway. But when I click "register" it takes me to my A promotions page, and I don't see it listed there

I was able to register. Are you logged into your account, not P2's? That's the only thing I can think of.

You have to wait until the card is a year old to upgrade ….can’t during the first year due to the CARD act.
If he’s going for a business card too, I’d recommend he apply for that first and use your support link since business cards now seem harder to get approved for with Chase

Gotcha. I have the priority card so we will just stick with the plus card for him, even though it’s not as good. As long as we get CP for 25-26 that’s what’s most important to us. I went ahead and got him the personal card. Instant approval with $20k CL. We don’t have any business cards at all so hopefully we won’t have any trouble getting that one when it’s time to apply.

Okay, I did more real research on Morocco and I think it's a no for us from a female safety perspective. That Liam Hemsworth movie on Netflix really did me dirty.

I am very interested in visiting Morocco, but as a solo female traveler I would only visit as part of a tour group. It's definitely on my list for 2026. Another place on my list is India -- I am looking at various train journeys and hope to visit in either 2026 or 2027.

I cant find the person on this thread but hyatt bonus right now is 25% I feel this is a great time to buy if you have a redemption to make of it vs the discount. It hasn't been 25% bonus for a long time. (its typically 20) at least the last few years.

Need some advice from Alaska experts. I found a cheap pts flight for our trip to Kimpton/Grand Cayman in Feb. What I thought might be the hard part (MR to Hawaiian to Alaska...didn't have an account with either of the latter 2) was very easy. I looked up the flights on the Alaska site and the pts matched what was on Seats.aero. HOWEVER, I get ALL THE WAY to the check out after putting in my traveler info and CC for the fees/taxes and it says :

"We're sorry, we aren't able to confirm space on these partner flights. Please try again and choose different flights, dates or cities."

So -- was there some step I missed? It literally let me select the flights. I'm not wigged out about the pts with Alaska -- I had enough MRs and it wasn't that many to xfer. But is there somewhere you can double secret check? Or should I just call Alaska?

Edit; I did a search on the error and on Reddit (from a year ago) it suggested using flexible dates to pull up a different version of the search tool. I think I must be screwed because there are no dates with award flights listed on our dates using that calendar feature (we're not flexible but there is like 1 day in FEB that shows available on this search). Continue to learn the hard way with this hobby -- I was messing with all this before we left for a neighbor's funeral and went ahead and canceled our AA flights (booked with BA) which were WAY high pts -- but I dealt with that decision when I booked them. Should NOT have canceled until this plan B was booked! Ugh.

Will transfering 1,000 Hyatt points from Chase UR reset the 24 month clock to keep my Hyatt points from expiring?

I have a room in Chicago booked on Hyatt points which are probably close to expiring. I also have a Hilton FNC that is going to expire in December. So I'm thinking of switching my hotel for the Bears game to Hilton Chiago but I don't want my Hyatt points to expire.

Hi all! Long-time lurker, occasional poster here. Been playing the credit card game (mostly Chase) for about 3 years now and wondering what card to consider next since I need to cool it on Chase for a bit. I may be in Amex pop-up jail, so not sure that an Amex card will be possible (although open to trying). I value Capital One points since I hold the Venture X card and they seem to like me, if there are any Capital One cards I might consider. Otherwise, open to suggestions. I'd prefer cards with low or no annual fee, or where the annual fee is easy to offset with points. Thanks for reading!

1) Organic CC spend could easily be $2000-3000 each month, plus we have a large purchase (~$3000) coming up in the next month or two that can go on a CC

2) CC Balances are paid off, except where it makes sense to float a balance with 0% interest (eg, I used an Ink SUB to pay ahead for daycare, got a discount for doing so and pay on that balance monthly).

3) What airport(s) do you typically fly out of? PHL or BWI are the largest major airports.

4) Do you have a preference of Frequent Flyer program? Southwest or American Airlines (would like to get some more American Airlines miles)!

5) Does SOUTHWEST Airline service your airport? Yes

6) Do you have a Hotel Rewards program preference? We use Hyatt a lot for the Chase UR redemption, but otherwise open.

Sounds like phantom availability. You can search other partners to check if the availability is really there, though I don't know if that's always foolproof.

I either missed the window or I'm just not seeing any decently priced biz class award flights to Scotland for next September. To my credit, I did try to get my family to commit to some potential dates a few months back but they were dragging their feet.

What airlines offer the most comfy premium economy? We are 3 shorter females so we don't *need* a ton of space, but I would love 3 seat configuration and best bang for our buck.
