What about the Citi AAdvantage Business World Elite CC or AMEX Business Gold? Are there any good sub's on Delta business cards to look into?
thank you

Citi AA sounds promising. can I combine those miles with my personal easily?

Oh gosh I am way behind on this thread so I hope this was not just discussed LOL.

DS 21 is making a AA flight reservation. We have no AA points so I am trying to decide what is the best card. If he uses my CSR, do any of my travel advantages transfer to him? I am thinking they don’t and I should use my Surpass instead since I am still working slowly on the MSR. Or maybe even DH’s CIU or is it bad to use a business card?

What's the cash rate vs points? Which hotel? Maybe there are DPs on if GCs worked.
I'm eyeing the hilton garden in Portland ME or the Hampton waterfront in Portland... I don't know how to find specific DP's.... the points respectively is 70k or 57k for a night, or $295/$240 per night for my dates.....

Ok..... can anyone here tell me the benefits of the IHG traveler cc vs any of the other ihg flavors?

Is the transfer from Hawaiian to Alaska still open/working? I finally have a need for Alaska miles but I don’t want to strand them in Hawaiian.
Is there a rumor it will stop working? I'm trying to figure out which alliance has the most options for future travel.... ASair seems like a good partner to start with (no real plans yet)

I don't think so. The merger went through, the transfer should work until eventually the two programs become one (then no need to transfer). I think what everyone's waiting to find out is when Amex might cease to be a transfer partner for Hawaiian

There's a thread on Flyertalk (link) and scattered DPs here and on reddit. But it was a long shot and I didn't find any for your specific hotels.

The rate works out to about 0.42 cent per point. Personally, I'd do cash and take the chance on the GCs working.

It’s in r/churning….not a private group so you should be able to see it…lots of discussion poster was recommending chase applications every 120 days due to some Chase shutdowns
I only do every 6-7 months anyway. There are plenty of other cards out there to get in between! But I may be more worried than some about these things

After reading all of it yesterday I do agree more with those that don't think it proves anything with velocity as people found more info on what those that got shutdown did.

It's always good to be cautious but I think it would be way more widespread if they actually wanted to stop it. And they'd stop instant approvals for those holding other inks or would follow their own bonus rules.

Okay awesome I will go take a look. Thanks!

Edit: Was very easy to find, I read it and it wasn’t what I expected. I think just to keep my subs Im working on with mine and p2 new Inks I will just look at a different card for now.

DW and I are planning a trip to Disneyland for the week between Christmas and New Years annd I have a few questions.

Our hotel stay would be 12/25 - 12/29. I currently have a CSR but I’ll likely PC it in November. If I book a hotel through the Chase portal to get the CSR bonus do I need the card when I check in?

The two options I’m looking at are JW Marriott and The Westin. Point totals are close to the same. JW Marriott is part of The Edit program. What are the odds I would be able to get an upgrade during that week? Can I call and request before my stay or do I have to ask at check in? How is the breakfast at JW Marriott? What time is it available?

I have stayed at both properties and preferred the Westin. JW Marriott in Oct 2021 and Westin in Sept 2023. I used my $200 AmEx Plat hotel credit at Westin last year for a two night stay. I didn't have the JW bkfst, but the Westin bkfst was delicious. Both are walkable, but about 15 mins. I ubered to/from both a few times.

I just went to refer my P2 to the Amex Everyday card. Amex stopped accepting new applications for this card as of Sept 25,2024.
Then I go to my upgrade offer to the Amex Everyday preferred which was at 15K recently to upgrade with nominal spend. That option is gone too. :snooty:

I'm sorry I cannot answer your question about combining AA miles between business and personal cc's. I believe others here can answer this question.

Is the Hilton Garden Inn the one by the airport? I was just in Portland for work. It's great for access to the airport, you can literally walk to the terminal, but for going out, I'd choose the one in the Old Port for convenience. I stayed at the Doubletree (do not stay there, it could be the most dated place I've stayed at in ages) and we Uber'ed to the Old Port and it wasn't much.

Yes and there's explanation on where to go and how to do it if you google. People here had explained and I read it but found it easier to Google since AA comes up towards the top of the results.
