Thoughts on any of the Delta credit cards. Our goal is to travel on Delta more as all other airlines out of our home airport are a nightmare (not the the airlines themselves just the location in the airport). We would fly probably 2-3 times a year so not heavy travelers. At first glance the cards don’t look amazing as far as everyday spending spend goes.

We are wanting to sign up for clear and/or TSA PreCheck soon as well.

Maybe you already thought this through, but if you want to get a Delta credit card, and are trying to decide which one,
you should see which ones offer you a statement credit to reimburse you for the cost of signing up for Clear or PreCheck. That would be something to factor in, along with:
- cost of annual fee
- amount of miles received as a sign up bonus
- whether you get free checked bags
- the number of miles you get for spending in different categories.

The Delta website lets you compare the cards; it has a column for each one which mentions the benefits.

Now, since I have a business account already I thought the new card would show up in my online account and it has not.

Edit add. For my new acct I was able to call and get the new account linked to my existing online biz acct without having the card. SM sent for a match. Phew only a few days to spare!

For DH new account I sent a SM for a match, it took about 2 days to get an answer but the said they would match once spend is met.

I looked them over trying to compare and it seemed none of them were amazing on everyday spend. Wondering if the benefits still make them a good card for Delta the free checked bag and reward % off seems like a good benefit, or maybe going for CSR would be more or equally beneficial. Cant believe the bonus for CSR is still sitting at 60k though

I recently got an Amex gold biz so that disqualifies me from any platinum bonuses or I may have gone that route.

@VGCgroupie it's true, none of the Delta cards are great for putting spend on them but I like to keep it for the 15% and free luggage. I like the Gold Biz because it gets $150 hotel credit ($50 more than the personal version for the same AF). FYI

Wow the Delta site is so much better for comparing than where I was looking on the Amex website. Thanks!

Side note I was looking at flight and if applying while buying a ticket the bonus for one type of card is different and bit better.

Thanks for this! I did not even know there were DD credits for the CSP, CFU and CFF. How do you create and access 3 accounts using your same phone? When I open my app, it just goes right to my existing account and I don’t see an option to switch to a different account owner.

So far, I was able to use both of my CSR August $10 credits at a convenience store - one yesterday and one today.

It took awhile to figure it out.

Click on “Me” and then “Settings”

Scroll down and click “Manage Account”


Now you can click “Log out”

Problem is I don’t know it LOL. I see a button for “Change your password”. I think I should do that so I can switch back to this account after I logout.

Speaking of AMEX, I'm starting to think about spending the second half of year $200 Dell credit on the Biz Plat. I see Rakuten is 15%...is that basically the highest it goes? I really don't need a new computer and I have the gaming consoles. Should I be waiting for Black Friday? Do they have blowout deals from anyone's experience.

I know you've received some info already, but I will chime in to say that I used 3 different emails but the same phone number on all 3 accts. I was on my laptop, not the app. I did have to log out of each and then into another.

I am mad at myself because my first order with the CSP charged my card. I could have sworn I selected the promo code, but I guess I didn't pay attention to the order total when I checked out. Oh well, lesson learned.

yes, the 2 $10 csr promos. i checked and I'm registered with my csr used the $10 on Thursday, tried yesterday and says I have no other promos available. Unless I used it and don't remember! hopefully September works

is the $5 monthly credit automatic? I don't recall that one!

I used my CSR credit both times and tried to use it a third because I didn't remember using it. Which means I placed an order and went to a convience store and picked it up, and yet seemed to have no recollection of that. Ideally I'd give it a few days but I waited too long here and the support...ya know..... then again..... I think I may have to wait till 9/15 to make it a full 90 days since CiC- wwyd? or just wait for the 40k to drop to 20kand then go for it

I'm trying to think of what stops we'll make without overdoing it (especially with kids) and whether to start with DL or end with DL. DH thinks we should start with DL so we're not exhausted by the time we get there. I'm thinking it would be a great way to end the trip with no driving for a few days.

I did but my kids were 10 and 16- we took 2 weeks and ended at DL which was the perfect way to decompress after a lot of driving and activity-

We kind of did one several years back. We flew to Phoenix, and from there drove to Flagstaff, then Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Vegas, thru Mojave Desert to LA for several days (including 2 at DL), and then flew to San Fran for a few days before flying back home. If I remember correctly we did this over 10 days. But we were without kids and 30 years old, lots of energy to move each day, lol.

Once you set up the 3 different accounts on your laptop, did you also place the DoorDash orders from the laptop or were you later able to switch accounts in the DD app?

we had a instantly approved for a CIP the other day, 80 days after a different Ink, with about 10k outstanding on various business cards…so I’d try with the 40k support link….
