DH always has better luck than I do with instant approvals. Instant for CIP. He now has 2 one from Sept 23 and the new one. Plus a CIC (Jun24); IHG BIz (May23) and a CIU (May22). I need to get him an e'ee card on my CIU so I can close that one. He needs very easy directions and the CIU is the catch all card for him since it is 1.5x on everything. I did close his oldest CIC and lowered all his CLs to a total of 15K.

How long to wait until asking for a match to the 120K? Can I (I mean he :P) do it today? or need to wait a day or so? I screen shot the public offer.

This was happening to me when logged into Chase on the same browser. But logged out it worked fine.

I did it right after instant approval. Asked for expedited in the same SM.
 
Quoting myself. Literally one minute after I posted this I got an email from AMEX that I've earned a statement credit.
Me too. Both DH & I got the email, so now we'll be Dunkin Donuts rich at the tune of $14/mo lol. My closest is 20 min away so I'm not sure how much good this does me. Maybe DH's coworkers will get lucky with donuts periodically.
 
This morning I read on DOC that the 90K was live for CIU online, by logging into account, going to hamburger for -> Business cards -> Take a quiz.

After answering two questions,, I was there. First question was what kind of rewards are you looking for - my answer was flexible rewards. Second question was what category for spend - I answered everyday purchases. That was it.

I did not apply as I still have a few days before I want to take that step, but my time is coming. I want my 3 months to stretch into September for start.
now I'm wondering if any of the replies on DoC are correct.... so if I used a support for the regular 75, are there any actual dp's of them matching to 90? or is this just supposition at this point?

ETA I see some older matches happened....will it be the same if we do one in the next few days I wonder.....

As someone mentioned there is always an element of risk that a match is refused but other than the 'prior to 7/25' I haven't read of any.

If anyone was sent to review for the CIP and is too anxious to wait it out like me, 800-278-8830 can help get it pushed through. Got an approval.

Now, since I have a business account already I thought the new card would show up in my online account and it has not.
 
Another successful DP for the CIP match to 120k. In my experience Chase is really good about matching offers. I've only been told no by them once and that was a match to the current 120k offer. I was approved at the beginning of May and the increase occurred at the beginning of July.
 
SM'd Chase about a match for my CIU from July 8, based on reports here not expecting anything to come of it.

We just signed up and our payment was 64.99. In the long run you are better off with the lower bill!

I have it on several cards also but it expires 9/30 and I'm too lazy to change the card it's on for another month.
Quoting myself. I just found the same Youtube TV offer on DH's AmEx Blue Cash Preferred - $20 back 3 times through Dec 10. Still need $57.99 or more spend though, we are higher than that. Plus that card gives 6% back on streaming, worth it to switch for $60.
 
Updated data point on a canceled flight on VA from LHR home. They tried to lowball us, but when we mentioned UK261 they offered the full amount for both us. They didn't want to pay for our expenses, but we submitted them again and they again lowballed us. DH tried one last time (telling them that all we asked them to pay for 1 meal with a 24 hour delay plus one airport hotel room for one night and it's not like we chose a a luxury hotel or something). They finally agreed to pay it all in full. So not bad, but really bad customer service for making us work this hard for us plus making us find our own flight home so it didn't become a 48 hour delay based on what they chose. On the phone, the VA rep told us to look for our own flight, which we did (but we were sailing in the middle of the North Sea with a satellite connection vs. the agent who was sitting there on the computer).

Summary - you have to know your rights with these airlines and be willing to state your case a few times because they hope that you'll take less than you should because of the hassle, plus I can now say that I prefer BA to VA flying from LHR, even thought the VA lounge is pretty cool.
Can you remind us- after they canceled your flight, did they ask you to source/search for the replacement flight or did you have to book the replacement flight out of your own funds? If the latter, I ,think you have a UK261 claim, despite the refund and "duty to care" meal and lodging expenses.

Sounded promising prepay for your final trip while hitting the minimum spend to help with your next one.

WWYD... Amex Biz Gold 175K/$10K MSR or Chase CIU 90K/$6K MSR?
Can't do both as we are still working DH's CIP $8K MSR.

We have 150K UR, 200K MRs (planning to transfer 300K to Flying blue in Dec for Italy flights - hoping for 6 J tickets 🤞).
Either way we need to replenish both URs and MRs.

Thoughts?

This is tough and I think depends on support offers, if any, plus what you'll spend on. If you wanna buy GCs, obvi, Chase is the way to go. I think you also wanted to get away from AFs, so that's a factor... If your Biz Gold offer is targeted (no support offer), I might be inclined to go for the CIU, because the offer is so high and support is so high, both with a limited time window. In 2-3 months, you could probably go for the Biz Gold if the offer is still around and you have more spend.

I don't think you can go wrong either way.

My husband as well…I have him carry a CFU and a CSR he knows only dining and gas go on the CSR…Costco I’m always with him :flower:
Just did similar to you, closed an old INK last week…”he” applied for a CIP with 4 Chase business card open….instant approval
 
Another Door Dash DP. I have the CSP, CFU and CFF. I already had an account with my CSP and used that credit yesterday with no problem. Today, I created new Door Dash accounts for the CFU and CFF. I used 3 different emails but the same phone number. I was able to use the credit with the CFU no problem. but I could not get the credit promo to work with the CFF. The promo is available in the acct and it would let me add the promo. Then I would get a pop up saying the promo wasn't eligible on this order. It was the same products and store with all 3 accounts, so I have no idea what the issue is. Anybody else encounter this issue while trying to use the credit?

They rebooked us (using the points we had used for the original flight) on a United flight that was 2 days later than the one we booked, then said we could move it up "if we could find another flight" which meant we had to spend time looking for one (with a cruise ship internet connection so it wasn't quick). We do have a valid claim - as soon as we said UK261 they instantly agreed they had to pay us the maximum.
 
I just opened the Chase IHG credit card for their 5 free nights after 4000.00 spend in 3 months. I can pay my school taxes with a credit card through Tax Look UP.net for a 2.65 fee. Has anyone used this site and do charges like this normally count towards spend when trying to earn a credit card bonus. What category would this fall under?

The only reason I am doing this way is to get up to the 4000.00 spend, so if it does not, I will just write a check and save the 82.50 fee.

Oh good. When you originally said you had to find a flight home, I thought that might have meant you had to find a way to get yourself home. I was like, they owe you way more than refunding your canceled flight, a meal and cheap hotel! Glad you got what you rightfully deserved- sorry you had to go through that headache!
 
i used 1 credit, tried to do a 2nd order ad I didn't have any credit? I have a csr
When you say credit, do you mean you used one promo and now there isn't another one available for the second CSR promo? I just ask because there is the single monthly $5 DD credit, so want to make sure we are on the same page.

I have successfully used both promos on the CSR, but I did my orders different days. Not sure if that's why.
