I just want to make sure…

I have the 20% back Chase offer at Kohls. DD18 is an authorized user on that card and has her own card. Since it has the same account number, if she uses her card it will still trigger the offer? She has a Kohls near her school and I’d like to send her to get a gift card for me.

Dis twitter will be nuts tonight. Chapek stepped down, Iger in for 2 years. Deadline article

Crazy, but merry christmas early Disney fans.

Holy ****. I just woke up and you were the one to break the news to me. Thank you!!!!!! I'd look for the Happy Dance smilie to insert, but I'm going to get off the Dis and read more about this.

Just saw this posted on DannyDealGuru It's for the version with ads, which after the midterm ads, I just can't do anymore. My nine year old wanders around the house reciting political ads now :rotfl2: Then my husband will quiz them "Who's too radical for Wisconsin?" :confused3
Thanks for the info...so double from last years deal but still the best price around to watch tv....I hear you on the ads, when my kids were little I always had a 'mute commercials' policy ... but now that it's just lil' old me I can ignore ads easily for a great deal:rotfl2:

Yes her card will trigger the offer

Thanks for everyone that gave their Airpod opinions. I pulled the trigger and ordered the AirPod Pros (2nd gen) from Best Buy for $199. Combined with a 10% back on one of our Chase cards, up to $25, so I'll get approx. $20 back from the Best Buy purchase, making these around $180. I couldn't pass up the deal and I'm looking forward to using these for my Zoom work meetings and on an upcoming flight in a few weeks!

I've been following along and trying to learn. I made a spreadsheet with each card, when it was open and whose name its in. My husband removed me as an authorized user on his Discover account (that I thought we cancelled so I hadn't used forever anyhow). The only joint card we have is Costco (needed for membership). We may have recently taken a small hit to our credit score because we had NSF for two items (a large check took forever to clear so my husband didn't transfer extra money for other bills and only my paycheck goes into our checking account).

I opened a CSP and I think I've met the minimum spend but need to double check. High organic spend. My husband opened two cards in April, Marriott (he's already Gold Elite and has been Platinum Elite for several years as well--I think he's a couple years away from lifetime Platinum or something. He's in consulting) and United. He's an AU on my dad's American (only for lounge access/American ticket purchases). I believe he got the lower level of these cards.

We tend to fly United (but also SW and American when they're cheaper if its our family instead of just him). I know I need to check the Q4 offers (we signed up on Discover for those) but it sounds like we also need to be looking at offers/checking our email for offers or something? I do need Disney GC right now (dues in January and Cruise over NY for incidentals).

Any suggestions for what I do next?

With regard to checking whether you have met the MSR, I always go by payments made as it's easier to track than every individual purchase. That being said, with Chase's UR system it's easy. If you go into your online profile and click the "Redeem" button next to your UR total (even if its 0), it will take you to the Ultimate Rewards page, which will also show the number of points pending following your next statement close. If you have earned the bonus, it will be reflected in that total.

If you fly Southwest, this is the best time of the year to consider getting 2 cards to meet the Companion Pass requirements. Currently, all SW personal cards are on an elevated bonus of 75,000 miles. You can do the "modified double dip", which means getting approved for one SW card and then applying the next business day for a second one. Due to the narrow window, the system isn't triggered to prevent you from getting more than one personal card in the Southwest family of cards. You should hold off from meeting the MSR on those cards until after January 1, 2023, at which point you will have a Companion Pass throughout the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024. Alternatively, you could get a Southwest business credit card now and 1-2 personal cards in early 2023 to both receive a CP and stockpile a large amount of miles that you can subsequently redeem 2 for 1 due to the CP. Just make sure you don't come close to the MSR until 2023 as there are some data points that Southwest credit cards post the bonus miles early when you near the MSR.

Should 1 of us sign up for both of each sign up for one?

If either of you have ATT, you can get it free. Hopefully it helps someone - I didn’t find out till a couple of months ago!
I have AT&T, how do I do this? Thanks for the heads up!

You need to achieve 125,000 qualifying points (and SW allows credit card SUBs to count) to get a Companion Pass. You both could separately earn your own Companion Passes and have separate pools of points assuming there are no issues with 5/24 or either of you being at the limit of credit Chase will extend to you. Strategically, if you have kids, both of you could earn CPs and each name a different child as the Companion for family trips. Later, you could change the companion to each other on your respective CPs to continue doubling the value of your earned SW miles when you and he take trips without the kids.

I'm starting to think November isn't my month. Last week I destroyed my Dell XPS by knocking a soda onto the keyboard. Then I had the Paypal hack. Today I was putting dishes away at 5:30 AM and the cabinet shelf collapsed (one of the pins fell out--not too much weight on the shelf) and the dishes fell out of the cabinet and shattered everywhere (counter, floor, etc.)

Back at school    Quite shocked my at home test today didn't even have a faint line. In Jan I was still testing positive 3 weeks later, LOL. Good news, it's a very short week!

Argh! DH was told he should get a hip replacement ASAP. Lots of upcoming travel planned, we‘ll have to see when he can get scheduled. If he gets a cortisone shot he can’t get surgery for 3 months. Something may get canceled. Doctor said recovery time is only 6 weeks?
So my dad had hip surgery on 8/10. Ironically my last phone call w/ him before he ended up in the ICU was talking about the segment our local news did on his surgeon/surgery. It was about a triathlete who was running a competition 2 weeks after surgery! I was giving my dad grief for being a baby (he was 3 weeks out). His prior hip surgery was like 5 or 6 years ago, and even since then the technology is VASTLY better! I was shocked how fast it was!

I've had my latest CIC in my possession for a couple of weeks now and there is no UR tracker showing. Should I be worried?
You can see on the dashboard.

I have ATT too! I need to know, LOL.

So that's three, so should be smooth sailing from here, lol.

Not sure how I missed this, but if you have upcoming trips in museum destinations, Capital One cards provide free six month Cultivist access, which gets you tickets to all kinds of museums, all over the world, NY, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Venice, etc. Good for cardholder + 3 guests.

Be sure to cancel before the six months are up or it's a monthly charge of like $40.

@CyndiLouWho and anyone else who flies out of Chicago -- I have a 3 hour layover at ORD tomorrow. What is the best place to spend some time? I have the Chase PP and AmEx plat card. I will eventually make my way to the Lufthansa lounge, but don't want to spend the entire time there. Any recommendations?
