@Judique is it worth the fee on the Amex to do so? I only have an Amex Plat and I do have an elevated offer to add an AU, but I believe it is fee based? Or am I misunderstanding?
I went to the website and copied this:

Add a no annual fee Additional Gold Card¤ to your Platinum Card® account and earn Membership Rewards® points for all eligible purchases made by your Additional Card member(s).‡

It appears you pay for a Plat AU but get a Gold for free.

If your offer is for MR's to add an AU and can do the gold that is free, it should be fine. I would do it. You can also do AU with similar results on Chase cards and other issuers.

If your AU will fly by themselves and could take advantage of lounge access, then maybe the Plat AU would be good, even paid. I didn't read all the benefits as I don't yet have the card.

I did some research but just want to make sure.

Charles schwab is still the best option for foreign atm withdrawls right?

I saw they do a hp, but it is only on the regular cr right? I have my chex frozen too so I want to make sure I don't need to unfreeze it too.
I am not familiar with the Schwab acct, but I just upgraded my regular Chase checking to a Sapphire checking to avoid all ATM fees while I travel. It has no ATM fees and no foreign exchange surcharge. It's free if you maintain $75K balance or $25 per month

Looking for something without fees or I'll use use what I have. Won't need to get cash out that much.

That is what we use, DD was just in Germany and we didn’t pay FTF and Schwab didn’t charge ATM fees. We don’t pay a fee on the account either.

I am thinking about booking two nights at Sapphire Falls Universal using my Amex Platinum. Does anyone know what the $100 credit can be used for there?
If I remember correctly at Portofino it was pretty much a $100 food credit?
Not sure if it works different since one is the hotel collection and the other is a fine resort.

Sorry, I just realized my original post had a typo. It should have said I upgraded my checking acct to avoid all ATM fees/charges. The Sapphire checking has no ATM fees or exchange rate fees, but does have the $25 monthly fee if balance is less than $75K. Definitely use the Schwab acct if it has no monthly fees.

You keep $75k at chase?
Another option is Capital One 360 checking. Free account. No foreign ATM fees. Has a Mastercard logo. 360 checking gets .1% interest. (Chase is .01) I park my cash in their 360 performance savings which gets 1.3% right now and has been rising. I transfer money to the checking as needed.

Is the Citi thing an offer on your card that you have to activate like Chase & Amex offers? If so, it won't matter if you go through ibotta since it's based on the CC charge.
Yes, its one of the offers that you click to add.

I have a targeted offer for the Amex BBP with 75k SUB on $15k/12 mos. Earning 2x on everything, I'd earn 105k MR. I am considering it as I don't have a SUB right now and won't drop under 5/24 for another 3 months. After that, I'll be looking to go for companion pass. I'd earn twice as much with two Chase biz cards, but looks like that won't be an option for about six months.

Any thoughts? Anyone seen this offer by support? I have a mailer.

Just took this deal a couple of weeks ago. With 1 year to hit the spend I’m going to use it as my filler card between MSR’s. If that happens. Haha. For me it’s a great deal. I’m 7/24 until next Spring so I’m all about the business cards right now.

No, I only keep a small amount in my Chase acct. I just upgraded because one month $25 fee was cheaper than the fees I would have paid using a different debit card.

Has anyone book air lingus with avos? is there a better way to search than this horrible British airways site?

Fidelity also has an ATM card with no FTF if you have an account there.

95% of the time we fly out of St. Louis--a 2-hour drive for us.
We can do Chicago but avoid as much as possible. That's a 5-hour drive into the belly of the beast.

United has a direct from ORD to KHL and Maui has pretty much perfect weather all year round.

Figured this group might be knowledgeable about what’s going on with airline flight schedules. Hubs and I are planning a quick getaway in September for food and wine. He finally transferred UR to United and we were going to book flights we’ve been watching today. Well, there is now only one direct flight out of Newark to mco that day and only $1800/ticket business first! There were multiple flights that day earlier in the week. Next day is not any better. Not an expert on flights but this seems weird.

My investments are at edward jones and I'm happy with my credit union for banking. Just looking for somewhere to put some of my vacation savings so I can access it via atm on infrequent trips out of the country. Money won't move into it often and the balance will be low as I want to have quicker access for paying cards without having to plan ahead 😂 Basically free and no hassle or I'll just suck it up and pay the fees for my cu to use the atm.
