Hello. I have an offer on my Citi card for 5% cb at Sam's club, says it includes gift cards. Does anyone know if this would work if I used ibotta to click thru to Sams club to purchase? Combined that would be 11% off Disney gc, which is pretty decent these days.
There were some reports recently on the gift card thread about ibotta reversing credits on gift card purchases.

I did some research but just want to make sure.

Charles schwab is still the best option for foreign atm withdrawls right?

I saw they do a hp, but it is only on the regular cr right? I have my chex frozen too so I want to make sure I don't need to unfreeze it too.

I figure this forum will understand the joy I am feeling.
Opened a new CIC yesterday. Today I got an email asking me if I would purchase $4,500 worth of school supplies from Office Depot which will be reimbursed by the PTA. Why yes. Yes I will.

Not nearly that amount, but I was asked to go to a meeting in Georgia from Ohio next week. Had to book an expensive last minute flight and hotel, was told I could use company card or be reimbursed. I'll take those points thankyouverymuch!

Does anyone know if park tickets purchased through Boardwalk Ticketing code as entertainment for Chase? If they do, with the discount and 5X that will probably be the way I go.

Yeah I saw that. If they do no big deal. I’m more concerned about if using ibotta would affect me getting the 5% from Citi

Sedona & Scottsdale probably won’t be warm enough for a pool day in January, but I live here, and upper 60’s low 70’s is sweater weather for me 😂 Sedona will probably see highs in the 50’s or 60’s and quite possibly have snow. Scottsdale would be 60’s or 70’s. Still absolutely better than frigid winters of the midwest, but maybe not pool weather. Excellent for sight seeing though 👍🏻
I'm looking for ideas for a relaxing early January getaway. I already know that late fall through Christmas will be busy/stressful and I'd like 3-5 days to unwind.
I'd like someplace warm as we live in the Midwest. I thought of Key West or Sedona/Scottsdale but I'm open to any ideas. A resort with a nice pool would be ideal. We are not really the type to sit on a beach for a week, but one day would be fine. Thanks!
January can be a wild card even in Florida. Key West is not super relaxing. Lol. The upper keys might be more relaxing. Baker Cay pool was chilly to me even in April though.
Maybe Puerto Rico? Not a bad flight from the Midwest and will be warmer!

Is the Citi thing an offer on your card that you have to activate like Chase & Amex offers? If so, it won't matter if you go through ibotta since it's based on the CC charge.

I went to lunch with 2 coworkers today, they both paid for their meals with debit cards, I died a little inside lol. I did tell them we were flying to Europe in Sept. in lay flat seat (on Singapore air) paid for completely with points. They seemed intrigued but I think they are both of the mind set that CC are evil. Sigh...

I am really loving my restaurant spend right now, I got a new Amex Gold which earns 4X at restaurants and then DH used a referral link which gave me 5X at restaurants so I'm earning so my MRs. I will probably buy some restaurant gift cards before my 3 months are up.

Does anyone know a way to tell which account a Doordash charge is from? DH & I both have DoorDash accounts and I was charged for DashPass I don't see on either account.

My DW was just approved for a CIC. It's been a few years since I first applied for a Chase Biz card so please refresh my memory. We have asked for the card to be expedited. Once we receive it do we create a new account and then request that it be merged with her personal account? If so can this request be done via SM?

ust a reminder to parents about doing authorized user cards for their minors, whether the minor ever sees or uses the card or not. Amex allows at age 13.
@Judique is it worth the fee on the Amex to do so? I only have an Amex Plat and I do have an elevated offer to add an AU, but I believe it is fee based? Or am I misunderstanding?

It was pretty easy to do online. I think this is what I used -

https://www.chase.com/digital/custo.../business-banking/general/cbo-account-linking

Link your Chase Business and Personal Accounts

See your Chase accounts together on your account overview dashboard. Here’s how:

  1. Step one
After signing in, choose the "Profile & Settings" menu in the top right corner.
  2. Step two
    Choose "Profile & settings."
  3. Step three
Under Account settings, choose "Manage linked accounts."
  4. Step four
Choose "Show my accounts." Eligible relationships and associated accounts will appear. Choose "Link relationship."
  5. Step five
Choose "Link relationship" again to confirm.

Why we all love points. SJ Sharks anmounce today they are retiring the number of my fav player in feb. Think that's cool. Couple hours later, I wonder how many miles it is. Oh if I go late Fri and early sun I can do sea to sjc for 10k miles on alaska? Sold! Booked two nights at hotel deanza using hyatt points, 30k total and will be able to lightrail or walk everywhere I'll want to go. Will uber to/from airport due to flight times. But exciting, haven't been to SJ since 2009 I think. And not to a game there since 03 or 04, before the strike.

Without being in the points game I never would have considered going. Will meet up with a friend for the game and have agreed we'll sit wherever and not be picky about saving money for this one.

So where do you fall? Lots of CC sign ups/bonuses? Just a few well-chosen CCs with earning/redemption potential? Some other method or hybrid?
I would definitely say I'm in the well-chosen CCs category. I cringe whenever I even think about applying for a new card, but I think that's because I still have the "fear the score/inquiry" mindset from my youth. What I realized is that you don't know what you don't know and that can sometimes present itself as intimidating when in reality you just need to take the time to learn.

For example, I've been earning URs for years but until I started reading this forum two years ago I had NO IDEA I could actually do things with them that would save us money, much less for free. They just sat there. I also never took advantage of my Chase Freedom quarterly categories to earn bonus spending because again- I didn't know their potential.

I lurked on this forum for a couple of years and took the plunge to comment 2 years ago because I wanted to plan a trip for my family to go to Hawaii and save some money. I learned how to do a Sapphire MDD, earn Globalist w/ Hyatt using their double night promotion, entered the world of Amex (and get the coolest heaviest card LOL), and am most recently the proud owner of a SW companion pass. And I am SO excited that all of that means that right now I have 9 nights reserved in Hawaii including a 2 bedroom penthouse ocean view condo in Waikiki and a 2 bedroom villa on Kauai all on points with no out of pocket costs!!!

In short, thank you all for sharing your wisdom, ideas, responses, and encouragement! If I never app for another card, I'll be just fine with what I'm holding since I know how to use them to their best earning potential.
