I paid in full with gift cards for my Disney Cruise which means CSR insurance won't cover me. I think I'll upgrade my stateroom so I'll have some coverage and my $300 travel credit should cover the upgrade.

And my CRV arrived today and I'm going to get it tomorrow. I might drive local home from work and see if I can catch a glimpse of her:) Now I hope they give me a fair price on my Odyssey.

And dd just finished her last exam and she's headed home tomorrow. Can't wait to have her home for three weeks!

Nice that you can pick up your new car the day after it arrives! Ford told DH that when his truck arrives, he then has to wait for them to add the non-negotiable dealer protection package (which is some kind of seat protection spray and other stuff), so he probably won’t be able to get it for a few days once it arrives.

So is Venture/X and CSR the only cards that offer credits/sub for travel "eraser".? I have cruises booked
next year and would love to "erase" some charges . I feel like I have lot airline credits/miles but
nothing to help offset cruise costs. Right now I just buy some discounted gift cards. Any other
ideas? Thx!

CSR isn't a true eraser. You get the $300 travel credit. There has been PYB on some categories which I effectively use an eraser.

Which cruise line? You can hope for some good Amex offers.

Oh, mine is getting that stupid protection too for a mere $2,000.

Just got an email about AA miles. All the way at the bottom it says “Also in 2023, award travel on American will become fully dynamic with a new, simplified award chart.” All I heard was devaluation, lol. Dang, I will be anxious to see the new award chart, as we were hoping to use our remaining miles for Europe next year, and really hope we won’t need more miles for that now.

I read about this a little while ago. Definitely a devaluation :crazy2::worried:. Can you book your flights to Europe now? That way dynamic pricing won't affect you.

I read this also. Very discouraging. The last two years have been such an upheaval in travel world.
Your finally ready to use your hard earned miles/points to travel and lot of negative changes and
climbing prices. I'm still annoyed by the crazy high car rental prices.

It use to be when one city/state/country we want to visit is a bit too expensive to swing it....we
would say lets just go to WDW. Well with all the changes no one in the family says that now.:D

The RCCL Amex offers reappeared on my cards. Still $1000 get 25k MRs, expires 12/31.

When you say reappeared, had you previously added them and they disappeared from your added section? Or did they expire and are there to select new, again? Hoping for the same for AF/KLM.

Not yet… we’re planning for next thanksgiving/beg of December 😭 it’ll be 2023 before those flights are available unfortunately.

Yes, exactly! We’ve been saving these AA miles for what feels like years. Got the cards in 2019 to use the miles to go to Europe in 2020… well we all know how travel in 2020 was. So now we’ve been holding onto these miles for close to 3 years, finally ready to use the last of them (we’ve used some here and there for shorter trips), and we’ll probably be thrown into shock when we finally try to use them in January to book Europe, haha.

When the RCCL offer first came out, I didn't add them (couldn't decide which cards). A week or so later, they all disappeared from my cards. I figured they ran out. Just today they reappeared again. I did add them this time! But still not sure I'm going to use them lol.

Sorry I wasn't very clear!

Does anyone have the Wells Fargo Active Cash Card or the Citi Custom Cash Card? I'm looking at buying a couch and am interested in mitigating some of the expensive delivery fee with SUB and cash back. I'm interested in the Citi Custom Cash card because it gives you 5% cash back on your largest spend category, but wasn't sure if there are limitations since it says "Eligible spend category". Otherwise the Wells Fargo gives the most cash back for the couch specifically at 2% back. Didn't know if anyone had them and had experience with them (or a referral to share).

I have the Citi Custom Cash. Here’s some info on the eligible spend categories -

Citi Double Cash also gives 2% on everything, no limitations.

Thank you for the information! Is there anything interesting about the referral process with Citi?
