Would like to know how you like Neuschwanstein Castle. Have read reviews that the inside is underwhelming, so I haven't decided if we'll make the effect to go in when we go.

I've enjoyed following along on your trip. Love the photos!

We went to Neuschwanstein in fall 2016. It was LOVELY. I enjoyed each minute of it and would absolutely do it again. It's a good amount of walking to get up there, but well worth it. The inside of the castle is amazing; however, most rooms are mostly unfinished due to King Ludwig's passing and not completing what he'd set out to do. I think that only 14 rooms are finished. The surrounding areas are also worth the visit. We ate at a lovely restaurant in Schwangu (Alpenstuben) that had an Oompah band and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!

did someone here have issues with deactivated disney cards after buying them from stores that had chase offers?

i thought i read someone who had that issue, was curious how they resolved it.

Thank you! I will go read your trip report! Is it better to use the transfer you mentioned above then arrange through the hotel? I was thinking of Chichen Itza - being the most famous. How was the food at the Conrad? My kids are picky and not adventurous. Did they have teddy bears at this location?



This is a great deal! We can't go the 1st half of the year but are pretty open 2nd half. I'll keep an eye out if they extend the promotion!

USA Transfer is about half the cost of the transfer company used through the hotel.

The food at the Conrad was outstanding for adults. My kids are super picky as well and they did well with the food. The breakfast buffet is the best I've seen anywhere, so that's easy for the kids. They have kids meals at all the restaurants, with the usual fare. My kids fav meal was one of the asian restaurants- they loved the chicken, rice and vegetables.

So they didn't have teddy bears at the time, but they may now.

yes, I did 7 transactions that way because when I linked the account it counted those 3 transactions.

I'm 3/24, with all 3 cards from this year. My first card won't drop until 03/2024.
My Amex Plat is coming up for renewal, I definitely want to keep a Plat in my wallet (I prefer the personal Plat benefits). Would you all use up your last 4/24 spot? Should I just keep my current card? I'm not interested in the Biz Plat because we can't meet the $15K MSR, DH just applied for another CIU.

Thank you so much! I’m on the phone with Hilton now. Funny I checked about 45 mins ago and nothing was showing, but it’s there now. Hoping the CSR can process this quickly — she said her system is glitching. And the line cut, so trying again, I wish we could book Hilton FNCs online. Looks like it’s done now!

Trips this year are sparse, we're still cautious with travel. 2 this year were London for 9 days and USH/DLR for 9 days. London was AA biz flights, hotels and some activities on points. USH and DLR tix were on points but postponed 2 years from COVID. Hotels and flights also on points.
Next year, NOLA in January and Costa Rica for Spring Break in March. Will probably also do a long weekend in DC over summer and use up some FNCs.

I mentioned looking for a Princess offer. I have the HAL one, RCCL, NCL, Carnival and a few of the smaller, upscale lines, but not one for Princess!

Did you try for retention already? I'd keep it for 55k/$4000 spend, maybe even 40k/$3000.

Otherwise, are you thinking about opening the Schwab plat?

Not applying for a Schwab, but this prompted me to look and realized I am at 4/24 until next November...oops LOL. P2 is until April.

That last slot is always hard with the what ifs. Historically, the 100k on the Schwab is great though. On the other hand, guest access to the Centurion lounge is going away. That makes me care less about holding a plat. Hard choice!
