Thank you to all that commented about the tax situation. The ex was/is a CPA (he let his license lapse...not my circus not my monkeys, LOL). Anyways, he still looks over my taxes each year. He said I don't qualify for deductions since they are so high. But told me to hold off till 2022, in case Biden changes some tax laws. So I guess I'll be waiting, LOL.
Depends on your tax situation….if you itemize and aren’t already above the $10k SALT limit ….
pay now it would be a 2021 deduction, in January a 2022 deduction
Nice that you can pay the taxes with the $200 GCs…..here I can only use one payment method to pay the full amount owed
Well I haven't tried the GCs yet. But the payment allows multiple payments of any amount, so I think I can likely use them. If not, I'll use a CC, and have to MS the $2200 I have, LOL.
My almost 13 yo "forgets" deodorant too

and it's quite the effort to get him to shower. I'd settle for foot powder daily because he has the sweatiest stankiest feet. No way he'd wear cologne. When DS had the puberty talk at school, the nurse doing the parent briefing was male and admitted to faking showers when forced. He would go in the bathroom, turn on shower, get water on his hair, then sit and wait until it was "long enough" before turning off the shower. He said his mom caught on gave him lots of "hug & sniff" after showers and sent him back to take a real shower.

. Boys.
My son came home from school and stank! I told him he needed to shower last night. This morning I was like dude, put on deodorant. He's like nah, I'm good! I showered. UGH!
Having my first remodel panic attack. Not sure what happened, but the ceiling below my master bath is now damaged. One of the recessed lights is hanging and the joints are super pronounced. Trying to take it in stride but I hate things out of order and having my kitchen ceiling all messed up is going to stress me out. At least the bathroom door I can keep closed.
My ceilings have cracks and nail pops. And in general need attention. I don't think we painted them 17 years ago when we moved in. And I know we haven't since. The BF just did all of them in his house in the last year. So I'm hoping to rope him into doing mine, LOL.
My dishwasher just died (water all over my kitchen floor) and most of the consumer reports recommended dishwashers are out of stock or back ordered. The ones still available are really expensive. I'm seriously considering not replacing it until the supply issues are resolved.
Dishwashers are a mess! I had to get a new one in August and the ex just had the fun of finding one. The one I really wanted wasn't available in white. I was told it could be YEARS before production picks back up fully. So you might want to get an idea on the timeline! The week mine was down was annoying, LOL.
Also "learning" a new dishwasher sucks! My new one is absolutely terrible for dish layout. Sadly to find one I had to only look online and had no way of seeing any in person. Since the layout sucks, I can't get as many items as I used to be able to. So I'm running it more often. UGH.
