OK, thanks. I'm glad to hear that they probably wouldn't have shown up yet (I hate taking the time to deal with customer service about stuff like this!) And they always show on a Tuesday? That's...random. LOL!
They generally show as pending on Tuesday evenings. Occasionally they miss Tuesday batch night and they pop up on Wed/Thu. Chase bank account bonuses have a similar batch process, usually Tuesday afternoons.

Despite all the new fangled apps and splashy websites, traditional banks still have many legacy (ie OLD) backends or, at least, processes. Many things at banks are collected as batches and run on certain schedules all at once. Support points and bank account bonuses happen to run on Tuesdays. If you missed the cut off to make this batch, just check next Tuesday. Chase runs on ET so evening time for East Coasters, late afternoon for West Coasters. Support points can take 2-3 weeks from approval to show as pending. I know in the app you can see them in "See rewards details and redeem" as "Earning on next statement." Not sure where (if?) they are listed in the UR portal dashboard on the website when they are pending.

I need to go to the tile place next week. I kind of like 12"x24"porcelain tile (not slippery) that looks like stone but I more like warm colors (travertine look) but I know cool colors (like carrara marble) are more in style. And I really like tile that looks like wood for the floor too but I'm not sure I can pull that off. I'm thinking mine will take up to four weeks. Apparently the frameless shower door slows things down. Hopefully not much longer. I hope your project goes well--keep us updated.

Unless you are worried about resale in the next couple of years get what you like. Styles come and go, there's no reason to live with something you only kind of like because it's what's in style now.

Just don't go crazy or you end up with a house full of wtw carpet that looks like it belongs in a magic fun room. The colors and the pattern o_O the lady on house hunter didn't buy that house though her mom liked the carpet. Given the pillows she had on her couch I wasn't surprised she liked it but I still can't believe someone put it in all rooms and not just a playroom where it maybe works.

Saw that episode….the carpet was crazy who knew they even made stuff like that

Frustrated with how few places grub hub has for pick up and why door dash has pu at places gh only has delivery. I don't trust the drivers around here and prefer to pick it up. Just getting tired of only getting to use my gh at Johnny rockets.

I don't eat at cheesecake factory and if the shake shake is still here it's dt seattle. Not interested in boxed. Might just not use it this month and use some of the 31st credit I haven't used yet.

Can someone remind me about transferring AmEx MR points to Marriott--do the names on the accounts need to match, or could I transfer from my AmEx card to DH's Marriott account? (I suspect that this is not a great value, but I only need a few thousand points and this seems the easiest way to get them.)
The name needs to match. You can add him as AU, then you'll be able to transfer to his account. A MR earning biz card would be best, so you don't have to worry about adding to his 5/24. If you do it from your biz plat, the green AU is free.

I forgot an important detail - you need to be an AU for 90 days before you can transfer. Hope you were able to get the points some other way.

I have had the card twice but never charged the taxes on an award flight to it. I always charged to the CSR. I would assume this is a Chase issue though. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Thanks for chiming in. I suspect there aren't many of us on this thread who have it--kind of a niche card. If it would work it would be great--across the two cards we could save $1200 in the award taxes.

I have a couple of hyatt free night certificates (cat 1-4) expiring early October. I have no idea where to use them. I might like to go to NYC for a weekend but there's only one cat 4 hotel. Thought of doing the beach like @Judique, but that's also a cat 5. I'm at a loss.

Both the Uber credit and the dining credit are pretty useless for me. I doubt I will even get $50 combined benefit from them. That is why I was always so hesitant to get the Gold card. I only signed up with the 20% back in restaurants up to $250 offer. I can’t see me keeping it past the first year. I wish they would have better credits. Small town people are definitely not Amex target audience for any of their credits or most of their offers.

Does anyone have any tips on getting a PlayStation 5? I didn’t even bother last year. Didn’t think it would still be so difficult almost a year later. I’m trying to spread my Xmas spending out the next few months so starting early.
Hey… I follow Matt Swider from Tech Radar.
Following him encouraged me to sign up for GameStop Pro, which is $15. Unfortunately, they only sell PS5 Bundles…I spent $800 for a Console, 2 controllers, 2 games and a PlayStation network 1 yr. subscription. If I can get a straight up console, I might return the bundle but supply is only going to get tighter especially with chip shortages and supply chain issues.

I just checked and they are there lol.

Should I book the swan reserve or the dolphin? I'm leaning towards the reserve, but I worry it won't open by November. The site says it will open in October, but the opening date has been pushed back many times.
I would choose the Reserve for sure! Last Oct I spent 8 nts at the Dolphin in the extra large room (2 queens and a sofa bed seating area), and the room itself was very disappointing. Reserve will be way more luxury/value for your for FNCs.

I haven't used it for grub hub. Boxed really came through for us when I couldn't find TP and Clorox wipes during the shutdown, so I just order stuff from them every month.

There are several blog posts with ideas. The 2 I found that worked for us was a resort outside Albuquerque NM and several hotels in Chicago. I find it hard to spend the non-Hilton FNCs.

I have URs spread across 3 cards: FF, CSR and CSP. I want to book reward flights soon so I am thinking I should combine all my URs onto one card, right? If so, which one?

Yes, I would recommend CSR if you want to book on the Chase Portal (1.5x). If your transferring to a partner then CSR or CSP will work.

I got the card to do the beach when it first opened there and it was still a cat 4. I think I got 2? years before they messed it up. I also have 2 reward nights with a 3rd coming soon.

Looked back on my account and I only used 1 FNC at the beach. The rest of my nights were on points.

I wouldn’t book Reserve actually. Nov could be real busy at WDW, I would hate to be homeless. Swan Reserve bookings for Sept are being moved to Swolphin except the person who booked an award was told to cancel and rebook themselves because Marriott couldn’t transfer the award stay. They were told they had to do this and were given no other options. Luckily there was space.

Sure I would kick myself if the new hotel opens and I was booked at Swolphin but a lot is to be said for having peace of mind for the next 2 months that trip planning isn’t going to go off the rails at the last minute.

For those who haven’t followed the Reserve saga: recently the opening was Sept 1, mid-Sept, late Sept (lots of fanfare about late Sept, even announced it on their FB page but no date commitment) and all of the sudden everything is changing to oct. It’s not bookable until 10/13 but only $1k+ rooms are available with normal priced rooms not booking until 10/31. It’s suspected the $1k room phenomenon (which has been seen multiple times) means they will open at a low capacity for the first couple weeks.

Pizza in Motion and a few of his followers have had the same thing happen with their Reserve reservations on points. They got cancelled, no refund of points and told to rebook at Swolphin themselves. Personally I'm in my own fight with Marriot and wouldn't be booking with them anyway. Two weeks so far waiting on a refund for a stay that was direct billed to my company but they charged my card rack rate.

I think the convenience of the Swonfin is worth it.
