Can someone please remind me: What is the lowest CL I can drop to on a CIP? I am getting ready to close it, but I want to transfer some of its CL to the new CIC so that it won't be so difficult to meet MSR without cycling.

I think it's either $500 or $1000 if I'm not mistaken.

My CIP annual fee hit this statement period. I already downgraded other cip’s to ciu/cic. What would be the recommended route so I don’t make chase upset. I would love to try for another cic/ciu very soon.

I’ve dropped mine to $1k, but think I’ve seen others report $500

There seems to be a difference in transferring credit and just giving away credit. From what I've seen if you transfer the min is 1k, if you're just lowering it then you can get down to 500.

Can't hurt to ask for the amount that gets you to 500. Worst thing that happens is they say no and you send another SM.

If you are closing it you can transfer and close all at the same time. Maybe that will allow more to transfer? (Hubby did it on one card, there was still a little hold back but I don't remember how much. At the time it was inconsequential, but now I kinda wish I paid more attention :))

Oh that's an interesting idea... I'll SM them to ask to do it all at once. Thanks!

Do you mean for TS or QS? We've done tons of allergy orders over the years, as I'm sure you know, and if it's TS meals, you can google the number of the restaurant to talk to the restaurant in advance. Not sure if they will allow you to talk to a chef but you could certainly explain your circumstances and see if they would relay your message. Typically, the chef comes to your table to discuss your allergy needs and then prepares the meal accordingly. When we first started going to wdw, we had to avoid so much for ds12 (like almost everything!) and peanuts for dd20.
We plan to only mobile order and not eat inside anywhere. So I guess it’ll mostly be quick service. We were going to try the mobile order at the wave but it seems like that’s gonna be too difficult since they aren’t letting people park cars there with only a mobile order

I got the AMEX Platinum recently (I couldn't find my way into the 125k offer, but I did find the 100k offer) - when it came in & my 16 year old saw it, she said "Wow - we must be rich! Only rich people have metal credit cards!" I told her that, first of all, no, I'm not rich, Second of all, even if I was rich, that wouldn't mean that she was. :rotfl2:
The CSR is metal. And I was shocked but the IHG Premier was metal until they put a chip on it. Now it's plastic. I was shocked a $89 AF card was metal, LOL. But the Plat is heavier than the CSR.

Did this come via email? I have a Delta flight that I got with my AmEx credit with every intention of changing and if I can get some bonus miles out of it even better. I don't always open every email from Delta so I may need to go through my deleted folder.
I got the email. We've flown Delta a few times in the last year. And I do have trips planned for SB. But all the flights are now sold out. So I won't be able to take advantage. GRRRR!

Yes, she can get a Disney Visa with her own name (it will be the same number as yours). She can also select her favorite card design. Since I don't use the card, it is easy to see DD's charges. Also, you can set up alerts to your phone anytime the card is used. I love this feature for my younger DD! Also, I always give both DDs their own AU or employee cards to help me meet my MSR. They know what charges go on each one or they will text me to check first. Even with no MSR, they each carry at least 2 of my cards and I encourage them to use them for all of their own expenses too, however small. Then I just separate their expenses each month and pay their portion from their own checking account. It works great for us!

I think you can apply for an AU card online.
As my DD gets ready to be a driver....this is what I was thinking of having her start doing as well. Like charge EVERYTHING and we'll settle up later. It'll be like having a P2 (kinda), LOL.

So I'm really liking all this online sports betting. I think I told you, I got $100 for picking the right MMA fighter (bet $1). I then got $100 in free blackjack play which I turned into $68. Next up was a $1 bet that a team would shoot a 3pt in a game, which got me $100 in free bets. I placed a bet for $50 of that last night and won $50. Then I managed to get another $100 in free blackjack which I turned into $110! And I have another $50 free bet to place tonight. So far I've risked NOTHING (well $2 which I won back) and I'm up $328! It's better than bank bonuses, LOL. My BF is up $1100 but he's taking advantage of deposit matching and other risk free promos and betting like $1k on a game. I really wish I had more of a gambling spirit in me. But as I joke, I turned 21 living in Vegas. The ex was stationed at Nellis. And we were on 1 income (and qualified for food stamps even). You learn to gamble different when you have no money, and you live there, LOL. Heck last night I struggled to even "risk" the $50 and it was truly a FREE $50 that I HAD to bet to get any money out of. I took a riskier bet to get the $50 payout vs a more "sure thing" and getting like $15, LOL. The BF was laughing...he's like why wouldn't you take the $50 payout vs the $15. I'm like because that's a SURE $15 and a not sure $50 :rotfl2:

My CIP AF just posted too and already have both CIU and CIC. I contemplated switching it to another CIC. But now I’m thinking I will just cancel. It’s easier that way. I don’t know that I’ll ever need more than the bonus limit on one CIC at Staples.

For anyone with the extra $200 Platinum travel credit: I thought those charges had to be booked with Amex travel. Nope. I got credited for an Avis rental. I rec'd the $75 Avis offer and the remaining travel credit came off. I booked directly through Avis.
Yeah, I think that's why I got double credited for a Southwest ticket (once was the travel credit and the second credit was the airline credit).

I am in the same boat. Once they move my credit limit over from this last CIP to the latest CIC, I am just going to close it, and then I will probably close the first two CICs also. I won't get anywhere near the bonus limit, ever.

I added my kids as an AU on my main Citi card but I wasn't asked for their SSN. Will they still be able to build credit if I don't add their SSN?

Southwest just added daily nonstops to Midway (from Richmond). Not sure why this makes me so excited. Would love to take DS to a Bear's game next year since he didn't get a 16th birthday trip (DD and I went to NYC).

Well, I rarely fly, but Southwest added daily nonstops to Savannah starting on I think it was the 11th of March and I got excited! What it means is that if younger DD wants to join us at Hilton Head for a day or two, it would be cheap and convenient to pick her up and drop her off. I'm going in November and she would not want to come for more than a day or three.

My DS is interested in aerospace, so when we take a quick mom/son trip to hopefully see the manned launch in mid-April, we've scheduled a campus tour of Florida Tech. Any recommendations for restaurants or other interesting places to visit in the Melbourne area?

No recs but FL Tech is such a nice, small school. Three of DD's classmates are there now and they were such bright, engaging students (I proctored a LOT of AP/IB tests with them since DD wasn't a math/science girl lol). Melbourne is a nice area, too. Enjoy your trip!

Put my partial cell payment on my amex biz last night, as if I didn't it would auto pull from the card I keep on the account. I've gone into my cell calendar and made a note on the same date for each month as it needs to be done on the 2nd so as not to get messed up. The first day is too early the 4th is too late. Narrow 2 day window.

Next up use my 4 food credits so as to max them out early in the month.

FYI My PayPal credits from February posted today.

Yeah....Amex! I had a food credit on my Gold that we did on the 25th. They posted it as March 1st. I'm going to do March's right away to see if they post it.
