I love credit cards so much! v4.0 - 2021 (see first page for add'l details)

Almost had a CC Disaster. So, on Monday I applied DH for another of the BOA Biz Cards (since it now has a $750 statement credit with $5000 spend). Instant approval. Had him call on Monday to expedite the card. (We will be at Universal starting Saturday and would use the card for the Hotel and Food, so about $2000 or so going towards MSR). So, card came yesterday already (yeah). Normally I just take the card and shred the paperwork. Good thing I actually glanced at the paperwork - as it said "Here is your new card - please shred your previous card". What....

So, I go to my card file and find his other BOA Card. Yep - they expedited the card that he opened in July. I would have been so mad had I put $2000 of spend on the card only to find out it was not the right card. So, I had him call again last night and the Rep said he would expedite the new card. (So fingers crossed I get it by Friday and it is the right card).

I am still waiting on two from our Pizza Hut orders on 2/20.

If I remember correctly the new credits posted almost 2 weeks later. The one I did on the 25th was the original Gold credit. Usually they post that credit in a few days and give it the date of the transaction - except when it's near the end of the month and then they post it in the new month. That annoys me.

For anyone with the extra $200 Platinum travel credit: I thought those charges had to be booked with Amex travel. Nope. I got credited for an Avis rental. I rec'd the $75 Avis offer and the remaining travel credit came off. I booked directly through Avis.
I hope they bring that back again for 2021.

DH had the travel credit offer and we booked a FHR reservation in 2020 that ended up being cancelled...but the $200 travel credit has not been clawed back. It's been about three months since the cancellation, and I keep expecting to see a $200 charge showing up but nothing yet.

Question: How can I transfer my hubs' chase freedom points to my CSP? I added his card number to my account but it only gives me the option of transferring all my points to him. Does he need to add my account number so he can transfer his points to me?
you also have to log in thru his account to transfer out to yours

We plan to only mobile order and not eat inside anywhere. So I guess it’ll mostly be quick service. We were going to try the mobile order at the wave but it seems like that’s gonna be too difficult since they aren’t letting people park cars there with only a mobile order
I'm not sure you can call in advance to a QS but the allergy menus are really good and broken out by allergens.

I added my kids as an AU on my main Citi card but I wasn't asked for their SSN. Will they still be able to build credit if I don't add their SSN?

I am wondering this too, just added DD18 yesterday and it didn't ask for her SS#, just DOB and address.

I think it's for renewals through March, but targeted. DH's new plat got it, but the one that was upgraded from Gold did not (January anniversaries). My plat that got a retention last year also did not. Would be nice if they extended it so I can get it on my Schwab. :D

I should be able to find this answer on my own, but I’m having a hard time. If someone’s ONLY Chase card is a CIC or CIU, what are your options for using your URs?

I have a restaurant charge on my amex bonvoy that posted on Feb 27. Mar 1 the $10 credit posted. Would that be for Feb or March? I hadn't used the Feb credit.

Is there a way to close a BofA card via chat? I haven't figured out how to do it and the AF is due soon.

Does any use an identity protection company/app such as LifeLock, identity guard.? If so I was wondering is it a family plan. Would you recommend them? Trying to think about my kids Id. We had a friend find out that there 9 year old had like 16k in cc debt from someone stealing his id.

That’s what I was planning to go off of but a few others told me to talk to the chef to make sure it absolutely doesn’t contain dairy. Did you guys always just go based off the menu? That would be a lot easier for us. We’re on the first step of introducing dairy so hopefully we won’t have to even deal with it

I’m curious about this also. Has anyone here frozen their minor child’s credit? Fraud is becoming so rampant that I would like to make sure my kids’ identities are secure.

I was thinking about using the Wine Insiders AmEx credit to send my niece and her husband some wine, but I recall that some have been having issues getting AmEx to credit the spend. Is this worth the hassle?

I would pull all 3 reports and make sure they are ok and then I'd freeze them all. There's no reason for a kid to not have it frozen. For that matter, having had someone try and open a card with my info, aside from not getting any cc offers in the mail, I don't see a reason why an adult needs their credit open when it's easy to temporarily unfreeze with your pin or password.

Is that freezing by going to each credit agency and doing it? Or paying for a service to do it?
