Did you guys see the 110K Plat Biz Card SUB? is this old news? ETA: Saw it on my support link page.

support link 110k is new. never seen it that high, also probably requires a huge spending i bet.
historically, Biz plats go up to 150k but has like a $50k spending requirement.

its out of reach for most of us unless someone actually runs a business.

Thanks for checking, platamama. It has clearly been a while since I booked a flight with miles. 200K sounded like a crazy amount but looks like it's not.

It's their standard because they have very very few 80K "saver" awards. Also I don't know if AirNZ is ever listed on the United flights with points (not sure why??). If you really want to try to poach saver awards, then you need to stalk their site right before awards are loaded-it's usually 331 days out or so BUT international flights are more of a "rolling release" with United so it might be a few hours after noon Central time ...or even days. It takes a LOT of stalking, lol. I was never able to find United saver awards back from our trip last March and ended up flying Virgin Australia. My friends who flew United were very impressed with their flights though so I don't want to discourage you :) Virgin Australia was definitely...meh...

I also have a CP that may never get used. Definitely a bummer, but I remind myself others have lost much more. We have a WDW trip planned for April (after 2 canceled trips), but doubtful we will be comfortable going. We were hoping for CA or national parks kind of trip for the summer, but I just booked VT (driveable) instead. We had DVC points we had to move to RCI, so we are trying Smugglers Notch in Aug. Seemed like a safer bet with all the quarantine rules!
I hear ya'..... it's a sad CP year for most of us.... I was lucky to get ours in Feb 2019,so we used it well for that year, all of 2020 canceled however....

Hope is on the horizon, travel lovers. We’re elevating your earning in 2021 with more benefits and rewards — on top of what members received last June — to help make up for a challenging 2020. Here’s what’s coming your way.

Get a head start toward your 2021 Elite status. This February, we’re depositing into your account 50% of the Elite Night Credits (ENCs) based on your 2020 Elite status. You’ll be halfway toward achieving your goals. That’s in addition to the ENCs awarded to Marriott Bonvoy™ Credit Card Members.

Plus, we’re reducing the $20,000 spend threshold for attaining Ambassador Elite status to just $14,000 for 2021.

You can also earn rewards faster with our Better Two-gether promotion. Get double points and double ENCs for stays of two nights or more between February 16 and April 27, 2021. Keep an eye out — registration starts soon.

One more exciting benefit: We're reducing redemption rates at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy. Save up to 40% when you redeem points for Free Night Awards by February 21, 2021. Rates start at just 4,500 points per night. It can take a little time for our new rates to distribute through all our systems, so the new redemption rates are now bookable, but may not show up in the online booking experience for the next few hours.

So whenever the time is right to rediscover the world, we’ll be there to welcome you with more rewarding stays.

As always, please note that a “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity, on any points-eligible rate.

Geez. This is just a bad bunch of news. Hard to see the benefits of staying on site. If we didn't have DVC we'd certainly be rethinking our "always stay onsite" mentality.

About the Sapphire MDD...I get I apply for the reserve today and get approved, I can apply for the Preferred tomorrow. What happens if I don't get instant approval of the reserve?

If I were you, I would call the reconsideration line to push for approval today. I THINK you could also wait for it to get approved and then apply the day after it's approved, but that may be incorrect. Check the guide on DisChurners.

I was really close to getting it since I was in the middle of dell drama and Best Buy had it in stock. And the blue one is so pretty!
Now I just need to hope my current one doesn’t die before the new one arrives because I don’t want to work from the office (ever again- ha!).
DS has a Dell right now and we realized this morning that his extra monitor for school won’t plug into the Surface. So now to decide how to resolve this problem.

Agreed! I tell everyone I hope to never see my office again!

As a Browns fan living in Pittsburgh, I am loving this game. However, they can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so we'll see. OK, back to your credit card discussion!
Ha, we were rooting for the Steelers to lose also since we live in Ravens Nation and this works out much better for them to take on the Bills rather than the Chiefs.

But even high point awards are not listed for partner flights. No matter what parameters or dates I enter, I get the same 11 UA flights. My husband called an agent with the same request and was given a bunch of choices of flying through Asia or Australia. These routes would be very long so certainly not ideal, I just don't get why they aren't showing up on the website. If you are looking multiple times each day, it's certainly easier to do it yourself vs calling the agent.

I tried searching on the AirNZ site but you have to call their agent. I'll try that today. Thanks for the advice about stalking the UA site!

I checked and I'm not sure. I haven't actually applied yet. I'm just working through the scenarios

I am not surprised by the end of Magical Express, with the coming of the new highspeed train. Though I am sure that won't be done by 2022. Considering there is no EMH right now, I will take 30 minutes early at any park any day of the week.
30 minutes early entry is all about "bang for their buck" I think. Look at it this way... 30 mins early, every park, every day for resort guests. This costs Disney VERY little vs. the old EMHs system. BUT it gives resort guests priority to every huge attraction. IF you couldn't score a FP for 7DMT or FoP, the advice was go to that park super early on a non EMH day. Guess what... not an option under this system. This REALLY hurts off-site folks in that regard at a minimal cost to Disney.

Wow all these Disney changes. i still haven't even bought flights for my Feb reservation, just can't get excited to go.

Glad we could help! I have zero expectations that the Browns can beat Mahomes. Bills-Ravens should be a good game.

Yeah, the only problem is Brightline's MCO station isn't due to open until sometime in 2022. And then they need to construct the Disney Springs station. Unless this announcement of Magical Express is the result of some new still unannounced deal to speed things up - which I doubt - it'll likely be at least another 3 years before that train is ready to go.

I'm still waiting on an announcement for a train from the Amtrak train station. If we can do plane to train, we can definitely do train to train.
