Well since my ADD churning brain took me down the path of possibly churning the IHG premier, I decided to just bite the bullet and apply for GE now, even though my TSA precheck has another 16 mos on it. Figuring my CSR credit resets soon (which might be a moot point, if I close it and reapply for another), and I could get another IHG credit soon too, if I reapply for that. Plus, I think I wanted to wait on the second credit and get my DD GE vs TSA precheck. Which means I need to get her passport, LOL.

It looks like I can get a next day appt at the airport, or down in Detroit. So looks like I won't be waiting long once approved.

Now I need to stop w/ my indecision and start making some choices on what I want to do, LOL. PC the CSR to a freedom and apply for the CSP? PC the CSR, and just apply for another CSR? Or wait, and try the MDD in the later summer/fall when I have the tax bills plus the holidays. But to do that, it means rolling through the summer w/o a MSR. Oooooh, last CSP/CSR question....If I want to do the MDD, do I have to be 3/24 or lower? Or can I be 4/24?

The "perk" of just doing the CSP/CSR now is that I could I guess try for the IHG (again) once I hit the MSR on that card. And not worry about my /24 status. I swear between the hyperfocus rabbit hole of ADD and indecision, it's a shock I ever get a new card, LOL.

Is he still in an infant car seat? My daughter screamed bloody murder in the infant seat but was much happier in a rear facing convertible car seat which was slightly more upright and taller so she could see something out the window.
Nope. He’s been in a convertible seat since about 4 months. It was one of the first things we tried

Oh well, it was worth a suggestion! My daughter will be 4 soon, so we’ve just moved on to unlimited iPad on long car rides lol.

Hopefully he grows out of it soon. I feel like 12-18months is so hard because they’re mobile but can’t really communicate and don’t really understand what your telling them. I feel like once the communication clicks, everything gets easier.

such a tough decision.

I'm pretty sure that you can still do a MDD at 4/24, but don't quote me on that. Hopefully @SouthFayetteFan can come up for some air and answer that question.

How much can you spend in 3 months? Could you do your normal spend and then just buy some gift cards to help meet the $8K MSR? I know being without an MSR is painful, but Chase hasn't announced when the increase SUBs end so maybe you can hold off until the very last day to apply for the sapphire cards?

Haha we’ve tried videos and he isn’t very interested. I never knew this age would be so hard. He gets frustrated at everything. I feel like he cries most of the day lol

Yeah mine little one wasn’t into tv/ videos until like 2. She just didn’t have the attention span. She’d watch for 5 minutes and then move on to trying to kill herself by climbing a windowsill or something.

My older kid has been a screen addict from the first time he got access haha. Now he’s 9 and I spend half my life trying to get him off screens. I can’t say that’s much better.

Well ANA makes things easier, cancelled my flights but now I'm kicking myself for not cancelling it since I want the miles not a voucher. I'll call later to find out. Meetings this morning.

Wondering if I can change them to the 1 stop through sfo and then cancel in a few days to get miles back. Don't trust the voucher would be worth enough next year and then I'm stuck with expiring voucher I can't use.

Question on booking Companion Pass tickets. DH, DS and I are traveling this summer. I have DS and my flights booked on SW - DH is my companion. We know we're doing the trip, but it's going to involve 3 one way flights and we're not 100% sure on the date of the middle flight. Also, hoping that the prices come down so I can get some points back. Given that, is it best to wait to book the Companion ticket? I seem to recall reading that it's harder to adjust flights if the Companion ticket is already hooked to the primary ticket.

Thanks!

Waiting is fine and does make it a tad easier to change flights, but with all the schedule changing SW does I'm less likely to wait lately. I figure they look at tickets booked when decided which flights to change and I don't want them to move us to flight that potentially will fill up before I get my CP booked. As long as there is a seat on the plane, your CP is good to go. As for changing flights with CP, you just need to cancel the CP flight first then change your flight, then re-add the CP. You can do this on your own easily. However, if you add in EBCI then you need to go through them to get the change done so you don't lose EBCI.

Thank you! I will go ahead and book them then. I was thinking you had to call in, but I was probably thinking about the EBCI part of it which we won't be doing.

Maybe this is common knowledge but ... if you have a SW companion pass, you don’t have to buy early bird check in for your companion; they are automatically checked in with you if you have EBCI. Apparently this policy changed a year or so ago, according to the SW agent I talked to yesterday while trying to fix a mess with changed SW flights.

Interesting. I don’t know that I have found this to be true.

I didn't know that. Companion has always had to check in separately. Never tried with just booking EBCI for myself and not companion. Anyone got DPs on this?

Does anyone know if you can still use Venmo to meet MSR on Chase or does that code as cash advance now? Have about $800 left on CSR and about $3200 on CSP. Have until July 6th. Plan was to use some on DD's tuition for fall but those won't be posted until late June /Mid July. So not sure I can count on that. Just checking out all options.

If that doesn't work - could I buy Visa Gift Cards to meet MSR? Could use that for tuition.

Also would love to hear DP's on this!

Me too. When flying in March - it was Me, DS and DD(my companion). I did not get EBCI but checked in right at the 24 hour mark. I had to check in DD Separately as she had a different confirmation # and DS was checked in with me. DD and I were right next to each other - like B2 and B3. DS on the other hand was like B39 even though we were on the same confirmation #. Did think that was odd. It happened on both flights.

I always seem to miss important details... DH has a CSR, so we use that to book anything we want to book through the portal on his account. The situation I've run up against is getting UR transferred into my Hyatt account so we can book from there. The only UR cards I have are the:

CIC
CIU
CFU

I usually transfer all points to DH's CSR. The only way I could get my points to my hyatt account would be to upgrade one of my cards to a premium card that allows point transfer or to transfer to DH's hyatt account and then complete the form to transfer his hyatt points to my account. Does that sound right?

If so, I assume the quickest option would be to upgrade my account and transfer. I moved points from his hyatt account to mine one time and it seemed to take forever if I remember.
