New offer for SW Visa card... seems to be a targeted off. I have 2 relatives who got it this morning. Spend $4000 in first 3 months, earn 30,000 points & a Companion Pass for 2021. An excellent offer IMHO (if you can travel in 2021) . I don’t see it on the SW site, they saw it when signing into their SW account. It is for the card with the $69 annual fee.

My dd got that too, no way in heck she can spend $4000.

Thanks, I guess I wasn't sure if that would work in the Gamestop store - I forgot about the Happy Cards working as credit. I haven't been in a gamestop store since last winter - do you know if this would work at gamestop online too or just in person? Edited - sorry I see you answered already that you did it all online. The offer I got is spend $8,000 and get 30% more points on purchases.

I'm thinking of getting the 140k IHG card from Chase for DH, but it would bring him to 4/24 until 8/21. He just got denied for a CIP for business structure last week. So it's either wait 30 days and try again, or use up his last personal spot for this. I thought about the Marriott 5 nights free as well, but with the one year expiration and our next three vacations already covered I think I'd rather have the flexibility of the points. I've never had an IHG card or really looked into it, but it looks like the 140k could get me quite a bit. I checked out a Holiday Inn for our layovers for our Thanksgiving trip and I can get 5 in a room for 12,500. It's only about a $100 room, but if that's the kind of redemptions I can get the 140k would be worth about $1100. It could also be a good option for baseball tournament stays.

Any thoughts? Think this is worth going to 4/24? I am also over 5/24 and I'd like to get CP Dec 2021/Jan 2022 so this would mean no personal cards for P1 or P2 for 10 months.

I have the IHG and love it. I'm aiming to go for the free one as I have the premier. I love that the 4th night is free when you use them as well! I've chased in on that a few times now!

What weekend in Charleston? We’ll be there Oct 23-24 but we’re driving, only live 3 hours away. Make sure you go to the Charleston city market, one of my faves!

I was looking at CHS that weekend. My BF can't swing it w/ no direct flights from DTW right now. So we're doing Myrtle Beach instead. Direct flights start again in Nov. One of my really good friends lives in CHS and has been bugging me for years to come visit.

The AF posted for DH's CIP and I plan to close it, but he still has a balance on the card. Some is due the 15th of October and they remainder will be due in November. If I close the card this month do I have to pay the entire balance? Or can I just pay the October statement and pay the Novemer statement in November even if the card is closed?

So my CSP 1st year anniversary is the 10th of this month and I have to pay off our upcoming WDW resort stay and tickets. Thinking of upgrading to the CSR. As I understand my CSP card will instantly become a CSR and I can use that way until the CSR comes in the mail. I know theme park tickets don't count as travel under chase but does an entire package count as travel for the 3x points and will the $300 credit be applied for the WDW resort stay?

Trying to decide if its worth it or not. The idea of being able to use the lounges (or at least get "free" meal) at the airport would be a nice perk as well. Thanks!

There are 2 cards on happycards now that have Lowes. Those same cards can also be used at Fanatics and I have another Amex offer there for spend $100 get $25 back up to 2x. I'm thinking I can get the happy card for $85, then get a fanatics gc for $100 and buy the stuff my kids want for Christmas. $100 worth of stuff for $60? They want UM and Heat gear...

not sure yet, lowes GC just came out for Happy Cards. For Home Depot, it was very YMMV. i had one store that allowed it and one that told me no. the one that failed ID checked me and denied my purchase. 2nd store, another employee had to verify it. I also had to remind them to swipe as a credit card as they think these cards are an actual gift card while its not.

Help with hotels:
1. Jacksonville/St. Augustine area- any thoughts/recommendations? (It’s only 2 nights at the end of Oct.) I currently have the Four Points at Jacksonville Beach booked but a comment about a pot smell in the hallways is turning me off. I am use my Marriott FNC so that was part of the appeal.

2. Aruba- 7 nights- stay at the Hilton all 7? Break it up between Hyatt and Hilton? I am Globalist and Diamond so Hyatt will let me into the club for breakfast and treats and Hilton will get me free breakfast. This is over Christmas- thoughts?
