Some of you may recall that thanks to @Albort 's timely advice some time back, I was able to book my plane tickets to WDW on American Airlines but by transferring my Chase URs to... Avios? I honestly cannot remember. Anyway, I located nonstop (very important) flights for a fraction of the Chase URs it would have cost me to book through the Chase portal.

I am now wondering whether it would be possible to do the same thing for my sister and her family if I were not traveling with them. It's my sister, BIL, nephew (11 at time of travel), and 2 nieces (9 and about 15 months at time of travel).

So the first question is whether it's possible to book that for someone else or do I have to be with them, and then the second question is, are there any special things to worry about with a 15 month old? I guess I'd need to find out whether they want a seat for her or whether she would be a lap child, but that would be a long flight (PHX>MCO) to be on a lap... but then there are two adults so perhaps that would help?

What say my experts?

**EDITING to add: It may be moot. I am on the British Airways site under "book with Avios" and apparently there is zero award availability for their dates (October 2, October 9) for even 1 person, much less for 5 people. I do see the American website has award space but I guess BA doesn't necessarily always have the same thing that the actual airline has. It was a nice thought anyway!

BA can only book Milesaavers. AA also have AAnytime savers which can only be booked with AA miles only.

For any women looking for a soft, breathable mask, my sister got Tory Burch masks. They come in a five pack for $35 with free shipping. They are super soft and she says they are very breathable (she owns 24 masks so she's tried a variety of masks). I just ordered a set.

My Amex Bonvoy AF just hit. No clue what to do. I cancelled my Bonvoy Biz in April. I have SPG gold status through Platinum. I am sitting on a 50K free night certificate with no plans to use it. Maybe I should cancel it and apply for the Chase SPG card in 2021. I'm at 4/24 but my next card will hopefully be Amex Biz Platinum and I'm holding off until 1/2021 for that one.

I would tried for a retention offer be you cancel. I accepted a $50 credit, should have held out for more but I figure the 35k certificate could be easily worth more than that.

So, I just used the last of my Fee Free Dollars in Plastiq and I had already used all the FFD I had gotten for my husband by referring him awhile back...

Do most of you continue to use Plastiq and just pay their fees because you find it to be lower than the fees charged by each utility?

I only use it to pay my mortgage since I can earn enough points to cover the fee. And to pay my county taxes to meet MSR. My electric bill is only $1.50 so I pay it directly and just carry a credit on it.

Only if I need it to help meet MSR, and now that you can't use gc that's not happening any more. It was nice to actually have a MC MSR that I could use to pay my mortgage. I somehow had some FFD though so didn't have to pay much, but my mortgage is only 400 bucks too so not bad anyway.

I don’t have any cards that make it worth the fees. So I only use it if there’s a discount on fees. I don’t think I’ve used it since last November/December. Only thing would be if I’m having trouble with MSR, but that’s not typically an issue for us.

We have survived (just barely) DS’s first week of high school. Wow, does he ever have a lot of work! He has classes 8:10 am - 3:00 pm and then 3-4 hours of homework to follow. It’s just crazy. Of course, the complaints about going to private school have started again. I think I am going to need my hair colored every month instead of every 3 and I am going to need to keep lots of wine and tequila on hand to survive.

Thanks. Not sure why I didn't think of that.

They emailed me and also put the $100 statement credit off $1K spend in my regular offers with 12/31/2020 to make the spend. I put it on my brilliant. So I'm keeping mine 1 more year. Also going over to the local Marriott to buy a $200 gift card with the $50 off $200 offer, even though it says no gift cards. We will see what goes down on that. Plus they are running the 10x on groceries, restaurants and gas. I was going to do a weekend with the $50 off offer plus my annual credit but can't fit it in before the offer expires.

Let us know how your call goes.

I'd be interested to see if gift cards work. I'm currently at a Marriott and am using DH's offer, but I'd like to use mine as well. I wonder if I can split the bill: $200 for DH, $100 on mine and then get a $100 gift card to trigger my offer.

I have 3 utility bills. Water, gas and electric. 2 of them charge 1.75. The other one doesn't charge. So, for the ones that charge I do a triple payment (or thereabouts) about every 3 months. Never have used Plastic. For awhile, one didn't allow paying ahead but now it does and it asks me do I know I'm overpaying? Yes, yes, I do.
