I have a Ninja that I got as a gift. It is really loud! It blends pretty well, but sometimes the stuff gets stuck and it doesn't break everything up. It may just be the model I have.Ninja...I cannot overstate this enough times! The brand is fantastic,at a much lower price point than comparable products with much more well known brand names.... I have a great model I got a few years back which I use for everything from smoothies to shredding my own cheese.... It's a fairly small base, comes with 2 single serve smoothies cups(those are my main cheese shredders lol) and a small blender/food processer type carafe- which works well for chopping or blending larger quantities- bc of the blades,it can double for some food processor needs also.(I don't do that much with the fp anyway) the motor on a Ninja is amazing...it's one of my best kitchen tools. I use those 2 smoothies size cups daily for various kitchen needs, rarely just for smoothies tho
Does it blend up hard veggies like broccoli pretty well?We have the nutribullet baby. I like that it has the freezer cups and individual portion storage. I would suggest buying extra storage cups, as I always need more than 6.
Some reviews on amazon said it’s hard to clean. A loud machine definitely won’t work with a baby lolI have a Ninja that I got as a gift. It is really loud! It blends pretty well, but sometimes the stuff gets stuck and it doesn't break everything up. It may just be the model I have.
I would just make it monthly, I never bought baby food. It was so easy. Now I’m wondering if I’ll even have the time to steam and blend fruits and veggies. Should I just buy baby food lol?
Did you just steam large batches at once then? Ideally we’d like to do stuff like broccoli and carrots but I’m not sure how well some of the food processors handle those. We don’t have a steamer either so can we just steam stuff on the stove in pots?I would just make it monthly, I never bought baby food. It was so easy.
12 cup is way too big for baby food unless you plan to freeze a lot of it. I would go for the 4 cup.Can someone help me with food processors? Dh and I are not huge into cooking but we’re considering making our own baby food so need a food processor or chopper. I’m pretty overwhelmed. I’m looking at cuisinart and see a 4 cup or 12 cup (comes with a 4 cup also). I’m not sure how likely it will be that we use the processor for anything besides baby food to be honest unless someone can convince me it’s worth buying the bigger 12 cup one. On amazon the 12 cup is $217 and the 4 cup is $60
There’s a 3 cup one for $40. Do you think that’s too small?12 cup is way too big for baby food unless you plan to freeze a lot of it. I would go for the 4 cup.
yes, I would steam large batches of all the veggies, even sweet potatoes, then blend them in the food processor and put them in ice cube trays to freeze. After they were frozen I would put them in freezer bags, take them out in the morning to thaw out.Did you just steam large batches at once then? I think that’s the perfect size, but I never made giant batches of baby food for the freezer. There’s a 3 cup one for $40. Do you think that’s too small?
Yes just buy baby food lol.Now I’m wondering if I’ll even have the time to steam and blend fruits and veggies. Should I just buy baby food lol?
Dh wants to just buy baby food. I have a feeling I’ll get sick of making my own quickly.Yes just buy baby food lol.
I had a fancy machine that was a hand me down from a friend. I still never used it much. I tried at first, but everything was either too thin or too lumpy and we quickly moved on to soft solids and finger foods.
But if you really want to make baby food, I’d just get a cheap immersion blender and do everything in a few mason jars.
I thought it didn't work, but it took 24 hours for the flight to update once cancelled to the new date. Yay! So basically I had travel funds that were due to expire in October that we weren't going to be able to use. I found a flight that matched the amount and booked with the travel funds. I waited 48 hours and cancelled the flight. At first the travel funds showed my original date, but about 24 hours they are now reflecting the new 9/22 date. I will definitely be converting into points since I don't have any upcoming flights planned. Again, I'm posting the details here because I was told how to do this by Southwest rep.ok.. for the SWA funds, you can book a flight using them, and then cancel/turn into points easily?

I have a Ninja also for blending our smoothies, and it is loud! My kids hate it and cover their ears ever time we use it. But it blends well. Some reviews on amazon said it’s hard to clean. A loud machine definitely won’t work with a baby lol

Congrats!!!I made my first post on DISchurners in Advanced Strategies.
Sorry it's so hard to read now. It looked better before I hit save.
yeah these machines are pretty loud- have Dad take baby outside to play while you blend up a batch! you can store in little containers and freeze/thaw as needed.... an easy way to think about it when you're cooking veggies for yourself, cook extra, and then blend that into baby food when you have the time- it probably doesn't take much more time than regular food prep.... of course you can use premade, but you might enjoy the process! Some reviews on amazon said it’s hard to clean. Okay, so the Nordstrom anniversary sale was a huge bust this year. I always find things but everything was sold out before non card members had access. Wanted to get dd a madewell sweater. And I was looking for zella joggers, a north face parka, and a few other things.
