depends on how you look at it. if you used a support link that shows a 60k, u could come out ahead(15k+ 60k). If you did not, then yes, 75k would have been better...
60k is still a great offer though. when i got my gold, it was only 50k. you win some, you lose some.

as for reconsideration line, i just googled it. says 800 567 1083.

I got my gold in 2018 and got 50K but also it had an extra 20% on restaurants up to $100 (off $500), plus we were able to redeem for a gift card for the airline credit, plus the present perks, 10/month credit on Grubhub, etc. So, I think we did pretty good over all. I think if you factor everything, the offers are pretty close in value. So, win-win!

That number worked like a charm! Thanks!

They just need to prove who I was. Their preference was to call me on a different number than my phone. That didn't work well for me, so they opted to text me a link from Intellicheck, where their software prompted me to image the barcode on the back of my driver's license, the front of the license, and a selfie (not a good hair day for selfies, but it worked :D ) ...

Can someone help me with food processors? Dh and I are not huge into cooking but we’re considering making our own baby food so need a food processor or chopper. I’m pretty overwhelmed. I’m looking at cuisinart and see a 4 cup or 12 cup (comes with a 4 cup also). I’m not sure how likely it will be that we use the processor for anything besides baby food to be honest unless someone can convince me it’s worth buying the bigger 12 cup one. On amazon the 12 cup is $217 and the 4 cup is $60
I have both that I have rarely (maybe never) used. For baby food I used my regular blender way back when. The larger cuisinart attracted me because of a slicing attachment. The smaller one because it was small - I've never opened the small one. Sooner or later a family member will find them and appropriate them.

And, a new blender is on my horizon because I've managed to drop and crack the handle which makes it awkward.

Now I’m wondering if I’ll even have the time to steam and blend fruits and veggies. Should I just buy baby food lol?

I made my own baby food in the blender. Pros of a blender - baby food and smoothies. I love the small cuisinarts. Pros: chopping onions, vegetables, and garlic, hummus, any kind of dip. If you don't think you will use one of the regular countertop blenders, an immersion or stick blender is awesome. I use that for pureed soups all the time now and it fits in a drawer. I would make a pot of baby food and freeze in little containers although I often mixed up the homemade veggies with the little bottles of store bought meat or chicken. I do agree with a previous poster - babies just got to eat so whatever works for you will (most likely) work for them. Get something that will work for YOU once you are done with baby food.

Okay, so the Nordstrom anniversary sale was a huge bust this year. I always find things but everything was sold out before non card members had access. Wanted to get dd a madewell sweater. And I was looking for zella joggers, a north face parka, and a few other things.
I went yesterday to Nordstrom Rack for the 50% off women's shoes to pick up stuff for my ebay store. So many pretty things but I only bought 4 - with changing habits, I'm trying to figure out what people want to buy. I did see alot of Madewell and Zella, actually, and expensive brands in the clearance racks at great prices if I was shopping for myself but I'm going to wait on the 50% off that category. Check NR. TJMaxx also started the yellow tag sale in store and I got alot for ebay. I've cut down on my usual thrifting due to Covid so I needed more inventory.

.the odd/crazy thing is they are still offering 1 non stop just at a different time not sure why they didn’t put us on that but I changed to that flight online

I wish we had a Nordstrom rack.

Potomac Mills? Probably at least an hour. That's the only one I see south of us.

There's about a dozen of them in my extended area.
Yes—we are an hour from Fredericksburg so it’s probably an hour and 15 minutes. My parents have one in Naples so I’ll have to hit it up in November.

Dh wants to just buy baby food. I have a feeling I’ll get sick of making my own quickly.

We didn't really do baby food at all for DD. You may want to start with buying and see how that goes. If your little one loves puréed food then you can look into getting a food processor and making your own. DD did not like most puréed food besides fruit. We mostly did mashed up avocado and fresh fruit. We'd get the squeeze pouches of random mixed fruit/veggies/grains to have on hand for restaurants or when we were stuck somewhere without food options for her. DD was eating mostly the same things that we ate from an early age (slightly modified to prevent choking). Each kid is different so you really just need to follow their lead and see what works for your family. Good luck!!

Good news! Approved just now for Barclay Aviator Biz :thumbsup2

Applied on Sunday, got the “we are reviewing your application” response. Figured I would have to send in ID verification, but received an email just now that I’ve been approved. Not the most exciting card to get, but living in AZ AA miles are handy. Will probably pick one up for DH as well.

This is what we did with all four of our kids. They never really ate puréed baby foods.

I’m not sure if you’re on Instagram @Haley R , but the Feeding Littles account is great. They have all sorts of feeding info and are very pro-information and uplifting about a variety of parenting topics.

For those of you frustrated with the Amex pop up... I am still a part of the club. Just got it on my wife’s attempt at a Schwab Plat. 🤣

it’s been 2 1/2 yrs since she got an Amex card but apparently they still aren’t over it yet lol.

Does anyone keep a CIP open after the year, for any of the bonus categories?

How about the CSP?

I keep my CSP open because it is the best of my Chase cards for UR redemption for travel. I move all my CF and CFU URs to my CSP. Now, if you have a better card for this purpose (CSR) you wouldn't need it for this reason. My CSP is the only AF card I hold and I only have it for this purpose.

ETA: my secondary reason for keeping this card is for the rental car coverage.
