The paper products are an issue. I have some but DD 2.5 hours away is running out. She's also working (as in forced to go into the office to do work she can do perfectly well from home) so doesn't have time to scout around different stores and wait in line...so I'm thinking of doing a trip to her house to drop off toilet paper and paper towels. She's screaming at me to stay home because since she's been going into work, she feels like she's definitely caught the virus and at 53, I'm more vulnerable and she doesn't want to kill me.

I know, I know but I'm going to say it anyway. Desperate times and she's still having to go into work. She should swipe a roll or two from work. :rolleyes1 Consider it hazard pay.

My mom's costco story is as follows (love one person case studies):
She's in Naples, FL. She needed her prescription filled so she went Tuesday. It was a mad house. Cops outside. Limiting people allowed in. They had paper products and that's why it was insane.
She went back yesterday because her rx wasn't ready. No paper products so no issues.

I need to go to Costco for ground beef too. And a few other things. Maybe tomorrow or Saturday. I also need to go to Trader Joe's but I'm thinking I just need to buy my turkey burgers and tortilla chips elsewhere for a while and not deal with TJs. The kids will have to live without orange chicken for a few weeks.
My friend went two days ago. Got there when they opened and still had to wait in a line to get in. Madhouse and check out lines to very back of store. Says she’s scarred for life now from ever shopping there again 😆 Don’t think police were there though!!

Yeah, at this point I'm just thinking I'll make do with what I can find at Publix, Kroger, and Food Lion. I don't want to leave my children motherless:)

We can’t find ground beef here at all. In this situation, I’m fine with whatever fat content though I prefer lean. We just have none and I have a few things I’d like to make. I need a couple other things like coffee and tortilla chips. Shouldn’t be a ‘run’ on those. I think I’m battling Costco today. Trying to psyche myself up for it 😬
The only thing MIL couldn't get at the North Costco on Hwy 7 yesterday was chicken, so fingers crossed for you! She said they had all other meats.

ETA: She did say there was a line as they were limiting the number of people in the store since they had TP, but she wasn't going for that.

LOVE IT!!!

I keep questioning do I really want to go to Costco. I just was hoping I’d actually find beef there but maybe not. My dh says he’ll become a vegetarian lol.

DD21 is threatening vegetarianism also. She claims this whole thing started with people eating meat. I said that unless she's eating bats from a "wet market" she can continue eating meat.

It's a long drive, but if you can't go anywhere else anyway, you can always drive it and drop it at her front door.

So I canceled our Spring Break SW flights. Chose funds back to CC. Got 1 cancellation email confirmation out of 4 flights. The other flights have just disappeared. No RR points back in account, no pending CC credits. It’s been an hour and a half, logged in and out of account. How long should I wait before panicking that my points aren’t there?

This happened to me yesterday when cancelling flights for our Spring Break Maui trip. I needed to cancel 4 flights for each of the 4 of us. I did not receive email confirms on one of my flights and one of DS's companion flights, even though the flights were gone from our accounts. Mine was a points flight, and those points weren't returned to my account. I gave it overnight to see if the system would right itself, but the points still weren't there this morning. I called Customer Relations at 1-855-234-4654 and they were able to straighten it out and put the points back in my account. Hold time was only 2 minutes, and the whole call took around 10 minutes. I also asked about whether SW would be extending the expiration dates of travel funds since DD and I now both have just under $500 in travel funds that will expire in the next couple of months. She said they have received a number of inquiries about this but hadn't reach a decision yet. She advised I call back in about a week to see if they have changed their policy and also that travel funds can't be extended until after the expiration date has passed. If others are in this position with travel funds they likely will not be able to use before expiration, I encourage you to call SW to ask or to Tweet or DM them on Twitter. The way I see it, the more inquiries they get on this the more likely they will be to change their policy and give folks a break on near-term expiring travel funds.

I’ve been trying to see if AA posts any relief for trips purchased with miles but I don’t see it and I’ve looked all over the website. I think I’m going to have to cancel our April trip to NYC (or change to August). It was their big Christmas gift and first time there. I’m hopeful that my AmEx Plat credit will cover the cancel fee but I doubt it ($275) and it’s going to be near impossible to spend it some other way this year.
All 4 kids plus my husband and me are working from home so this is a zoo. My parents are here too - immuno compromised and diabetic - but they don’t have a care in the world. People are complaining about the 20-somethings but these 70-somethings are making me>:(
Did you cancel your AA flights yet? I have 4 flight to Jamaica next month that I've been holding off cancelling. I also have the Aspire $250 credit, but I was hoping if they cancel the flight I would just get the points refunded.

Glad you guys could find stuff. I'm still trying to find chicken and turkey. My friend went to Aldi yesterday right when they opened, and there was none. I'm trying this morning. Me and my friend group have kind of started looking out for eachother/sharing our needs. When someone finds something, they let us know and either we go get it or if we can't get there right away, they get it for us and vice versa. People caring about people. It's a beautiful quality that I wished all possessed. Maybe then we'd all be able to get some toilet paper!
That’s fantastic that you’re all looking out for each other! I hope you’re able to find some chicken and turkey. We got the frozen ground turkey. I’m not sure if they had fresh or not

Dh said there was a line this morning for Walmart. He waited until everyone went into the store and then walked in. He said it was only like 20 people though so not as bad as some lines we’ve seen on the news.

Maybe wait until closer to when she gets home from work if you do this. If people are stealing them from bathrooms you can bet someone might try to take it off the porch, as sad as that is

So for two weeks I've been looking for a can of Lysol (no where to be found) and yesterday I saw one through the window of a parked car. I joked to DH to go get a crow bar...I'm breaking in. ;)
