Just posted this on the gift card thread, but posting here too:

The 4x fuel points offer on gift cards (restaurant and entertainment) at Kroger is on the app now. Also just saw one for “save $10 when you buy $150 or more in $25, $50, $100 mc or visa gift cards” 1/8-1/21
Thanks! I feel like I never have those coupons and I did this time.
Thanks for posting. @DisneyMandC I don't know if this would help you or not, but sometimes these coupons aren't on my local Kroger page (PickNSave) but if I go directly to Kroger they are there. So I can load them from Kroger and then they show up on both.

The $10 won't be as good as 4x fuel but I still have 4 $1 off fill ups to use in January. I'll buy $1000 and have 2 fill ups for February, saving $20.

I had a heck of a night last night. Was driving home, got close to home, thought my car sounded funny and then suddenly couldn't control it. Pulled off the road and looked - my tire was just absolutely shredded. Of course DH is away on work. The rub here is that I also drive a very tiny, very rare electric car so no one stocks the tires.

Luckily I had plans to meet a friend for dinner. So he was already heading my way and came to help. So between buying his dinner, paying for the rare tire order and the world's most expensive 5 mile tow, my night cost $400. But think of all the points. :rolleyes2

A coworker is coming to get me this morning. The dealer thought the tire would be in at some point today, we'll see.

Yikes on the $400. I keep AAA despite all kinds of other available options such as towing with my insurance. However, I've found that they are not as efficient when it is farmed out services in other areas. Here, some one on the side of the road with a flat would be a priority and the 5 mile tow would be almost free - the basic plan makes the first 3 or 4 miles free than it's like 3 or 4 $ per mile.

The one thing that concerns me with my Niro is the spare tire. It's a folded up piece of rubber in it's compartment. I still haven't looked into getting a regular spare for it. I do know how to change a tire on a car, but wouldn't even attempt it now that I'm older, but I'm quite capable of giving needed or (unwanted) directions.

Anyway, I'm sorry you had to go through all that - it's not an adventure I would pick.

My first statement for the SW Premier Biz has not closed yet and, since it's the first cycle, I don't know the exact closing date.
The first due date is listed as 2/12. Any ideas on what close date would be?
I'm trying to see how many days left I have to meet the MSR.
I'm read some of you in the past prepay wireless or other bills to help meet an MSR.
Does ATT allow that ability?

Can I say it, please? Please? Pretty please?

Seriously though, what a traumatic experience for you and the other guests. That's just unacceptable and I hope you got something more out of it than their room charges.
My family loves Marriott so when this happened and I was explaining what Bonvoyed meant they all looked at me like I was crazy! By the time I called apparently the manager had already reversed the charges - an email explaining that might have been nice. I did ask for extra compensation so we will see what happens. The funny thing is we took our kids to Hawaii 6 years ago and the same thing happened in the middle of the night when we weren’t able to get a standby flight. Kind of a strange coincidence.

Just be aware that Chase has shut down accounts for violating the transfer to household members rule in their terms and conditions.
I figured.... I won't mess with any of that.... I'll just tell him to use the points at 1cpp as is for flights.

Should be closing 1/15. The SW biz cards follow the 3 days after payment due date like personal cards from all reports I've seen. My Premier biz included.

This is not a drill! My Aspire points have posted (finally)! Check your accounts if you got in on the no fee and meant your MSR on the 1st statement. No idea why I am so excited since I am not sure how I am using them or the free nights I have but it’s nice to see the balance grow.
Did your bonus points show up with your earned points from spend on your first statement? I think I was just under the MSR when the first statement closed, but definitely met it by the beginning of the 2nd statement. My Hilton biz points posted right after meeting the spend in the middle of a statement, so I've been waiting for these points to show up. Luckily we don't have plans for them right now, but I'm still wondering where they are :confused3

I don’t think @SouthFayetteFan or @gottalovepluto were singling you out specifically. At least that isn’t how I read it. I think it was just a general reminder to all of us since you brought up FT and many of us do read FT. Anyhow, I know how sometimes a comment can come across as being directed at one person and it isn’t meant that way. I also know that can cause one’s feelings to get hurt. Been there felt that myself on this thread when I thought a comment was directed at me and it wasn’t. Just thought I’d offer my perspective for what it’s worth.:flower3:
I didn't know people would get triggered by my mention of FT. There should be a sticky of websites not to mention FT, TPG, etc. I'm kidding....... kind of. I'm not part of any of the secret society's on Reddit. Although I don't think any of the things people do is a big secret. My thought is if I have to hide what I do it's probably going to get me in trouble in the long run.
I started this as a hobby to get free hotel nights. I traveled before I started this hobby and I'll travel after I end it.

If they're only going to be used for 1 cpp redemption, he should probably purchase the flight on a card then have him cash out the points to cover the expense. He'll have the same redemption rate but this way he earns points on the flight.

It's very rare with Chase that you'd want to use points at 1cpp since a statement credit/cash out will usually accomplish the same thing.

Just root for my beloved A&M and DH’s beloved UCLA and you won’t have to keep those pesky UT/USC places straight :rotfl:
Oh don’t worry, I do always root for A&M (after my Bears, of course!). My dd19 has a good “friend” and he goes to UT. He’s planning to switch to A&M and that’s a good decision if he ever hopes to be “friendlier” 🤣

I think a lot of us here read those various other sites too for travel related info,I know Ive been reading for years, well before I found our disgroup here...

Just referred my company (the one I'm employed by) to CIP. It was approved. This doesn't make up for me not getting a Christmas bonus, but I'll take what I can get:)

I took an empty paper towel roll home yesterday since DD's teacher sent home a note yesterday that they needed one by today... Was my bonus I suppose. :confused3

So it looks like Nov I met the spend for the Aspire but no bonus points. Dec came I only received the CC spend points. Then finally Jan I received the bonus of 150k. That is not how the DH's Surpass worked or our Biz cards.

ETA: To add with the Biz, I meant the MSR, points posted before CC closed.

Called Disney+ again since dh’s account still doesn’t work and we’ve been charged twice for the free account and the promised refund has never happened. The CM read back through all the notes - every chat and call since nov 13, when we finally got through to someone. He said no one ever actually entered enough info to “escalate” it properly. So he supposedly did that and gave us a case number this time. He also requested a refund for the charges and he removed the billing info so I won’t be charged again BUT by doing that, he also cancelled the “free” account because I got a ‘sorry to see you go’ email after getting off the phone.
It’s really hard to believe we’re still dealing with this almost 2 mos after Disney+ launched.

Is it possible you finally got to somebody who can help though??

Hopefully! He did spend a ton of time reading back through everything and that alone made me feel better. He opened a case, gave us the number and read to us what he typed up. Said he was escalating it to their highest team and marked it at a ‘highest priority’ level. So I was optimistic getting off the phone. He said to call back on the 14th if we’ve not heard from anyone.

I remember when I was having my saga with Amex Hilton support points last year that the day I finally got to somebody who could help (or at least I thought could help) was amazing! I hope this guy truly knows what he is doing and you finally get this fixed!!

Question on this. I was just approved for a SW Personal card (the morning of the better offer being announced :(). My account shows payment due 3/2/20, so according to this, the statement will probably close around 2/26 - 2/28 depending on if they count weekends or just business days. I will for sure have the $1,000 minimum spent by then. Should I wait to try to match the current offer until after the first statement closes and get the original bonus points, or in the long run, would it matter since it's kind of a two tiered bonus anyway?? If they match, I assume I would still get the first 40,000 points after meeting the initial $1,000 spend and then get the additional 35,000 points after meeting the other $4,000 in the next few months.

Thanks for any opinions!
