Are there really 3 dietitians in this thread? That’s kind of crazy lol.

I’m with you on the nutrition support. Working in a gym sounds like my own personal idea of he**.
At my hospital, we have order writing privileges, so I get to order all my own tube feeds and TPNs and the surgical interns I work with are very happy for me to do so. It’s a nice little level of independence. And most of the surgeons I work with understand that I know what they’re talking about and talk to me as as such, not like I’m the lunch lady.

of course, I work for the hospital and we have a food service management company that I do not work for, so whenever I get a good compliant I can easily say I’ll inform the manager of that department and I have nothing to do with it.
We also have order writing privileges for TF and PN once consulted. The docs cannot order PN even if they want to, it is dietitian/pharmacist managed. Even if not consulted, we can order diets and supplements. It is a nice level of independence which is why I hesitate to go elsewhere because it is not like that every where. Our food service is self op, and while not terrible, I don’t get a lot of complaints anyway since most of my patients are not eating. On Saturdays, we alternate and cover the whole hospital and then I hear more.

I also go huge while pregnant. Just YUGE! I didn't gain much weight with any of mine but I'm 5'2 so baby had no where to go but out lol! I regularly had people thinking I was due any day when I was 7 mos and I did get asked if I was having twins a few times. All my babies were 8-9 lbs.

Here is me at 38 weeks with baby#4 (and yes, I went to 40 weeks!).

I see your adorable 38 week singleton pregnant belly and raise you a 33 week twin belly (that stretched for 5 more weeks) 😄 I‘m 5’ so like you no where to go but straight out.

It sounds crazy but I miss it! I loved being pregnant.
I can't imagine how uncomfortable you were at the end. That's a quote we hear from my youngest DD too and it does sound crazy given my oldest DD who just had her 2nd the end of Sept. She was in the hospital 9 weeks with HG. It's just amazing to me how two sisters can have such complete opposite pregnancies and experiences.

Is HG the illness where you are super sick (like a morning sickness on steroids)???? I had bad "morning sickness" with a couple of mine (barfed the whole pregnancy) but never had a name for it other than "morning sickness". I still gained weight fine though so it couldn't have been that bad. I only had one pregnancy that I had trouble gaining any weight and I wasn't sick at all with that one.

Wow you guys... I go on a three day "booze cruise" and now, there is no catching up!

The Centurion Lounge at PHX is opening today.

Tagging @IFlossU. @Alexle2007 and @ten6mom might also be interested.

It's too bad I have no plans to go back to the airport until November... oh, and really really too bad I don't have a card that's expensive enough to get me in there! :rotfl: it would be fun to check out, though!

I said for the longest time I would never get pregnant. I wanted to adopt because I’m adopted and I had no interest in pregnancy (I faint easily from blood being drawn). I mentioned it to Dh and we were seriously considering adopting and then one day my mind just switched gears. Now that I’m actually pregnant I’d never give it up. I love feeling all of the kicks and I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to science and learning about the body.

I was just the opposite of @Haley R , I was HUGE with both. I remember being at Target with baby 1, barely 6 months along, and a woman says "you must be due any day now" uh nope, 3 more months "oh, it must be twins then?" uh nope. With baby 2, I was in maternity clothes before 8 weeks. We went to Disney when I was 12 weeks, and looked at least 5 months along. I just carried wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy far out in front with both.
Ha, this reminds me of when I was pregnant with my first one (16 years ago now). I was sitting at my desk dispatching and one of my officers walks in... that particular workstation has its back to the door so he didn't really see me until I turned around. His eyes got huge and he blurted out, "are you having TWINS????"

No ,Mike, no I am not!

And no I haven't let him forget it, either!

This is exactly how I was. We were not having children at all. Until one day, I totally switched gears and said 'let's have a baby' lol. We were 24yo. I also loved the science behind it all and more than science, how God put it all together.

It always makes my head spin when I see USC being used for California. My whole life it meant U of South Carolina. My family all went to Clemson so the Gamecocks are our big rival. Also UT = Tennessee, not Texas.

This this this. When we moved here my husband was very confused on the USC thing haha and YES MAM as a Tennessee girl born and bred there is only one real UT and it was founded first and has the better orange.

I've added some commentary to the RISKS section on the Chase Ink Preferred Discussion thread on DISchurners.

Please be advised that NOTHING here has changed, I simply want to draw everyone's attention to the risks I had previously outlined.

Also, I just want to say that I really enjoy how we've found a middle ground between blasting info and sharing nothing. I enjoy that everybody is sharing their successes here without "numbering" them! 😉 I think as we head into 2020 this would be a good practice continue as it not only protects the knowledge but also protects you! Please continue to share those approvals, and tell us were you stand on those MSRs! It's a lot of fun to be part of a community of churners like this.

DH got approved for the CIP, yay!! Especially because I didn't have the patience to reduce his other (insane) limits with Chase and wait, so we just took a shot as is and it worked! Woohoo, finally a MSR to work towards again. And more URs for this year's travel. Much needed.

Congrats!! URs here you come!!!

I wanted kids. I just didn’t want to physically have them myself. I think I was 24 when I changed my mind too lol.
