@mhartman09 we can’t wait to go to disneyland for the cars section! My son “meeting” the cars at AoA and doing the racing academy was so amazing!!

My husband and I were debating how many diecast cars for his birthday are too many haha Its not for a few months but we’ve been collecting them as we find them on sale.
My ds9 has also always been a huge Cars fan and just super into vehicles, in general. He collects all the Disney buses, planes, semi, transport packs, ride vehicles, etc. We ask for the transport cards every time we board a monorail, bus or boat. Those are fun to collect! Anyways, about Cars land...we were BLOWN away! It’s amazing. Best Disney themed land I’ve ever seen. In the day it’s great and at night, it’s even better. I can’t wait to go back to DLR and see it again!!

Totally agree! I'm not a Cars fan but that entire area at DCA was really fun to visit and also just visually impressive.

I think we are hoping to redo our northeast trip in May 2021 now (was planned for Aug 2020) and our DCL trip fall 2021. I want to allow the parks more time to normalize. We now have like 200k Delta miles, 150k AA miles, 400k Hilton, and 50k Hyatt. I’m thinking our next best move is Chass biz x2 but due to recent DPs I may switch course and go for Hyatt cards x2. Then maybe Citi cards so we can take a break from Chase. It’ll only be if you can still use those points for disney tix and things seem on track for the 2021 plans though.

So on the topic of entertainment: Every night is a family movie night at the SFF household right now. We first went through all of the Star Wars films in chronological order. Then we did all of Harry Potter. Now we are on to Pixar films in order of release. Tonight is #5 which is Finding Nemo. (We will be watching even the "bad" ones when we get there... so keep us in your thoughts as Cars 2 and Good Dino approach, haha!)

Last night was Monsters Inc (and as many of you know my wife is obsessed with Sulley!). I was VERY impressed with the quality and detail of the animation in that film that is now almost 20 years old!! I'd imagine we'll be very impressed with Finding Nemo tonight too. Pixar is truly amazing!!

I think Finding Nemo will always be my favorite Pixar film! :lovestruc It was one that ods loved when he was about 2 and watched every day, and I never got tired of it. It's just so good.

There are links to v 1.0 and 2.0 of this thread in sticky #1 here. 😊

We got to 70k and 72k comments respectively on those 2 threads. Thread v 1.0 covered well over a year though. This year we’re on pace to hit about 53k comments right now but it isn’t always linear. A hot offer or new card can generate lots of activity here quickly.

The current climate has definitely slowed our pace. Activity on the DIS as a whole has to be down and we have really attracted any new blood here in awhile as I’d imagine CC pts for travel aren’t exactly top of the mind for folks right now.

@SouthFayetteFan HEY Cars 2 is my favorite! Take it from the mom of a 2.5 year old boy who only wants to watch the cars movies for his screen time, that one is underrated!
We are trying to show him some new movies and we only convince him by telling him they have cars in them :car:

I actually preferred Cars 2 to Cars. :rolleyes1 I found Cars a little boring. :confused3

I think my order of preference is Cars 1, Cars 2 and then Cars 3. But I like Lightening McQueen in his prime and Cars 3 just kind of made me sad.

I would like Cars 3 more if it started with him at the training center and just a brief mention of the new racers/the new training system. The whole first part is sad/boring! It picks up for me once they go to crazy eight and then meet smokey!

Of course then we wouldn’t have those few minutes of bobby my child finds so fascinating.

As we’ve been watching some of these again I have to say, outside of the cars world, I think my favorite on rewatch is zootopia. We haven’t done many of the princess films yet though, but man zootopia is really gripping even for an adult hahaha

I’m a big zootopia fan! That was an excellent movie!! Loved the music too (not just Try Everything - the background stuff too!!)

I love Zootopia!!!! Yes, such a great movie. We just watched that last weekend, I think...Time is all running together so I'm not sure but we did just watch it. Once I watch it, I have the "Try Everything" song in my head for like 2 weeks so, yeah, gotta be ready for that.
Having two girls, who are now 19 and 17, I've been through the princess movies. Like.So.Many.Times! I wouldn't change it for the world though. DD19 loved(still loves) Belle. She lived in her Belle dress for about 5 years! Disney bounded as Belle for more trips than I can remember and ended up working, Oh so briefly, for Disney at BoG on her DCP. Most perfect location! My dd17 loved Cinderella while little (can you say Cinderella 4 years in a row for Halloween!?!?) and then morphed into more of a Tangled girl. Those were fun years!!
