When I got done with my GE interview I asked how long until I get my KTN number and he said that you get your KTN number right away. It's in the upper right hand corner. Membership ID/PASSID on the TTP dashboard. So when I applied for my kids recently I put that number in the SW reservation and they haven't had their interview yet. I don't fly until March, but I am thinking that Precheck will show up on their boarding pass.

In other strange GE/Precheck news, my husband has applied for GE, but hasn't been conditionally approved yet. I never put a number in his profile for SW, but yet when we fly a few weeks ago he had PreCheck.

DD was conditionally approved for GE recently - no appointments available in MA. Earliest available in Rhode Island or Connecticut is September. Useless.

They need to sort this out - there used to be two locations in Boston you could get an appointment. Now it is just the airport but they clearly don't have the capacity.

I know it's frustrating. I ran into the same thing when I was looking for appointments 3-4 weeks ago. None of the locations within a 6 hour drive of where I live or 4 airports where I will be flying in the next six months were taking appointments. But then when my last child's application was conditionally approved Milwaukee was taking appointments and only about 5 weeks out. I'm still waiting on DH's approval and then I'll make all 4 appointments. So keep checking, I hope something opens up for you.

My DH has had his GE app pending for well over a month now and still not able to schedule an appt. And I don’t have much hope of getting an appt for anytime soon once it’s conditionally approved. It does make it pretty much useless.

We are having to wait over 6 weeks just for a precheck appt!

In looking at my spending habits and stores I frequent for our needs certain cards have more appeal overall. DH & I still need to go through all the offers that are available. I also need to keep in mind our 2023 trip to Japan and how applying for CC's now will play out.
Absolutely we'll use referral links. There are a few on the DIS who have been major supporters since I first signed up and to this day. I believe in paying it forward.
Thanks for having my six!
Fwiw BoA is one of the more fickle banks, I would not do them right out of the gate in case it goes wrong and they either say nor or want taxes (or get said taxes and STILL say no) or want to you to open a CD in addition to what you have... Go with Chase or Amex for best odds at a smoother approval for the first one out of the gate.

That is insane! The inclusion of alcohol helped that price go up even more. SMH Remember when MK wouldn't even serve it? Wasn't all that long ago!
It's genius. Up the price for everyone at the cost of serving super cheap booze to a few people... it will be a very nice increase to party margins if people keep booking.

Personally I was bummed to see it as well. I don't care about the sentimentality of no booze in the park and I do drink but the party is so popular alcohol is just not needed to increase attendance or enjoyment of that event. It's a straight up money grab :(

...Getting a little concerned about our Europe trip this late spring. We have 3 nights planned in Venice in June. I booked as much refundable as I could. Hoping to not have to make any changes!
I hear you :(

Weather update - now two days when we will be at Death Valley are saying high of 90o_O. I know a dry heat but I was really liking the 80 degree forecast. Still have 1.5 weeks to go so there is time for the forecast to change.
You could be looking at a record temp for March! Google says 92 is the record temp in March. (Since you're committed and so is the weather look on the bright side ;) )

I still enjoy reading every comment here each day! Sorry I’ve been a little less active, I’m going through a busy patch right now and the slow churning news cycle has helped me in that regard. I’m over here plugging away at my SW MSR and trying to drum up some new banking business to get back on target for my goals for the year.

In my experience, WDW booked through a TA still codes as Disney Resorts/travel.
If it's the one I'm thinking of doesn't Disney process the charge? I would ask your TA.
That agency does process payments through Disney (as do most TAs) so I would think not but certainly check with them.
Thanks all for the responses. So if it is processes through Disney does that mean it will code as Entertainment and not be "erasable" on my Barclay Arrival Plus?
I will check in with my TA, but I have more confidence in this group giving me an accurate answer. :)

Ok so I'm thinking of buying my first car. (Live in NYC, usually borrow one of my parents cars if I need one) We're getting to the point where we need our own though. I'm driving to Jersey a lot for different things on the weekends. And I've also had to make about 5 trips to DC since the start of the year. We actually have quite a few URs we could convert to CB to help us with the purchase. But since we have so many savvy savers here. Any tips and tricks I should think about?

All I know is some dealerships allow part of the charge to go on a credit card, and some have found their “limits” on what they’ll charge are actually negotiable.

I just looked at a charge for a room that I booked back in Nov. Payment processed through Disney and it coded as travel for CSR.
