Wow, the plat sure is a thick heavy metal. But no chip?? Seems weird. Not enough places have tap to pay here.
That's surprising! The one DH got just last month has a chip.

And I just booked DNiece a ticket to Florence in late April for study abroad. I hope everything blows over by then.
DH really wants to try a Disney cruise but I just don’t see the point of paying the Disney premium for a port-intensive cruise. Maybe it will change when we have kids who would enjoy all the activities, but for two adults it kind of feels like a waste. It would be nice to do a short cruise out of Port Canaveral added onto a WDW trip, though.
I'm thinking of buying them off him (I have no use for delta, but air France has possibilites). How much do you guys value Delta points if I were to make an offer. I know he'd give them to me (just becausethey're uselessto him), but I don't feel right doing that.

Mine definitely has a chip as well. That’s odd. That's surprising! The one DH got just last month has a chip.
Do you remember or did you notice whether it coded as travel or entertainment? When I used them last year, all the charges were processed through Disney.
I would give consideration to trip insurance... I had until 14 days after purchase to buy and bought cancel anytime for 75% back (but miles aren’t covered). And I just booked DNiece a ticket to Florence in late April for study abroad. I hope everything blows over by then.
I’m not Gibbs but my gut has served me well over the years...We're childfree. I have two cruises booked on other lines for 2021 but it's like some gut feeling I'm having about moving over to Disney - I just can't explain why. I did the Med on Royal Caribbean in August and it was just fine. But honestly it wasn't *that* much cheaper than Disney.
I've tried using tap to pay twice with my CO Venture now and haven't been able to get it to work![]()

Just got home from that same son's concert.. need to load up the rental car and find something to eat (somehow I forgot to eat), and shower, and then I'll lie down for (I hope) a few hours. If I'm completely ready to go before I lie down, I plan to get up around 0145 and roll out the door at 0200, pick up my carpool buddy in Glendale at 0300, and then... fight rush hour traffic on the 91. It'll be fun!Calling out @ten6mom! Did you decide to drive to California tonight? I’m not a stalker, I promisejust read your post on the ROTR DL forum and was wondering what you had decided. Please post about your boarding group success. After the failure with your son’s trip I’m now rooting for you to get on. Have fun!
Thanks. I'll look into it. I paid cashI would give consideration to trip insurance... I had until 14 days after purchase to buy and bought cancel anytime for 75% back (but miles aren’t covered).
From one blonde to another...silver chip...silver card. I understand these things. LOL!!Pretty much everywhere we went in BC had tap to pay because pretty much everywhere had the exact same card reader, it was great!
Pulls card out of wallet, thumb not in same place as before when looking over card, oh there's the chip
We'll just call it a blonde moment combined with the obnoxious headache I've had since last night.
I love it! I wish you safe travels, and I really hope you get a boarding group. If you’re up to it please report back and let us know how it goes for you in the morning. If all goes as planned we will be rope dropping and checking it out in... 11 hours? I think that's right. Maybe it's 13 hours. We are an hour ahead of California so maybe it's 13.
ETA: Sadly my card did not come before I left but I will have my husband send me the info if it arrives in the next couple of days and maybe I'll get lucky with them allowing me to pay the room with it.
Yes, you can link it to him. And reassign. If he has a paper ticket from a base you’ll have to activate it before first use.LOL this got rambly, sorry I've been on a migraine roller coaster the past two weeks and not thinking clearly.
I need ticket help. My son has his military salute ticket now, I have a photo of it. Can I go into my MDE acct, add it and assign to him OR should I have him add it to his acct (or send me his login)?
Actually, I think I can access him now. I used to be able to see everyone and their magicbands and I can't anymore. I can only see mine and the my youngest son who does not have his own acct. I'm just confused.
So, I can go in and "Link tickets" (website, hate apps), then I should be able to select him and assign it to him, correct? Thinking ahead, if I add it and for whatever reason he can no longer go, I should have the ability to reassign it to my daughter (who is a mil spouse so my plan b for ticket use) and she can go in his place? If he were to add it, I assume he would have to reassign it to her and in that case it'd be better for me to do it.
"Patience you must have, my young padawan"I’m so jealous.
For all those who are discouraged by the long wait for GE interviews (sorry I kept reading and didn’t add the quotes as I was reading), my husband had the same problem when he signed up. He started traveling internationally extensively for work and he was going to have about 5 trips before his interview. On his first trip he just talked to them while he was at the airport and told them he hadn’t had his interview yet and they did his “interview” right then and let him use it. This is probably a YMMV situation, but worth a shot if you are traveling internationally before you can get an appointment.
Wanderlust7 beat me to it! I was going to point out the ability to use Enrollment on Arrival. DH an I are planning to do that in a couple weeks on our way back from London at SFO. My family of four all have GE that expires this year on our birthdays. I renewed DS23 and DD20 in October last year, but DH and I both have late birthdays so we had to wait The kids were pretty much immediately approved without interviews. I was assuming same would happen to DH and I, but no--we both have to have interviews again. What a PITA! Anyway, no reservations at all at SFO so we are going to wait for the enrollment on arrival when we come back. Weird, but hopefully the line won't be too long.He probably did Enrollment on Arrival.
For anyone having trouble finding a GE appointment, if you're traveling internationally, check if the airport you're coming back into has it.

Well judging by what the CM told me it won't even be available until March 12 so I might have awhile to wait before it ships. Maybe they ordered them in batches?"Patience you must have, my young padawan"
Hopefully you get the shipping notification soon! I was pleasantly surprised one day.
Probably? 3/12 REALLY isn't that far. About two weeks. The current ship date is June if you order nowWell judging by what the CM told me it won't even be available until March 12 so I might have awhile to wait before it ships. Maybe they ordered them in batches?
