Interesting new support offer on Amex cards. You would get the usual support bonus + 3x points for your spend on the supporting card for 3 months. I only see it on personal cards. Great deal if you have it on an elevated support bonus card and/or the Gold (7x grocery/restaurants!).

ETA: The usual warning to not self-support. :)

My Amex credits finally showed up! And the online purchase of a Disney GC did trigger it (as well as the in-store purchase, of course).
Me too! Went with the watched-pot-doesn't-boil approach today and hadn't signed in until I saw your post. They must have had a delay with offers triggered that weekend. It's dated 9/29 but it definitely wasn't there until today.

I have 10% on Lowes on a Chase card.
Me too. It is on my Disney card which I never use except I just had to. Chase sent me a letter to use it or they would close it. Used it at Lowe’s to buy some severely discounted perennials on the looks like they are dead cart :rotfl2:last week. I’ve had really good luck planting these in the fall. Then I get that offer 10% at Lowe’s On that card. Guess I’ll have to use it again.

It’s probably unlikely that you’ll get it BUT I’d absolutely try via SM. And you want to do so ASAP since chase won’t match period once 90 days have passed. I’d provide a link to the webpage showing the CC offer in your SM (not the blog).
Anyone think it's worth SMing CHase again to ask them to match that SUB on the CSP? My 90 days is coming up in a week or so.

I haven't seen if there are any DPs of success on this.
Just had luck with getting my IHG 125,000 SUB matched to the new 140,000 offer. CB285E02-D092-472D-A111-2BD74C0848CF.jpeg

Wait until he's three. But then there will probably be another one:)

We did our first when the kids were 16 months and 32 months. Too young for the kids club (babysitting was nice though) and not potty trained so no Mickey pool. Plus tendering with strollers sucks. And neither of mine would nap onboard so they were grumpy the whole trip.

For our second cruise the kids were 4 and 5. So much better. Although one refused to go in the kids' club.
Lol there may not be another one with how things have been going. I think I’d rather wait until he can use the kids club and I didn’t even think about not being able to use the pool

Mixed DPs on Chase biz cards just keep coming. Heard of an instant denial due to biz structure yesterday on a CIC and then a DP was shared on r/churning today of a CIP that was auto-approved yesterday. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to what’s going on here. It is quite confusing!!

I’m 4/24 and can’t decide if I should try applying or not. I did the MDD in March and no other chase cards since but I’ve had a refinance and Bank of America card.

I am very fortunate to have a substantial increase in salary this year which will finally allow me to start doing all the travel I've had to put off. So I've decided to officially dip my toes into the credit card travel rewards card game and need some advice. I have no specific travel goals right now other than I will definitely be doing some international travel in the coming years (most likely Europe, S America and Africa).

I posted yesterday about my recent SW product change debacle, so I've given up on that bonus opportunity for now (hoping for the same or even better bonus after the first of the year). After that didn't work out a few weeks ago, I applied for the CFF and was approved. That made me 1/24 at Chase and I only have 1 other card at US Bank that I am closing this month.

I am considering 2 hotel card options. First is Chase Marriott Bonvoy which is offering the 5 free nights. I'm staying at the Swan in 2 weeks so I could put those 8 nights on that card to get the extra 6X pts. It has a $5,000 MSR and $95 AF. The other option is an offer I got in the mail which is the Hilton AmEx with a 100,000 bonus, no annual fee with only $1,000 MSR in 3 mos. I can meet both MSRs. Any downside to applying for both?

I forgot to ask DH to call to PC his CIP at the beginning of September when his AF posted, and now it's a full month later and he's laid up with allergies. The statement hasn't closed yet. Can he still PC and get the AF fully refunded or is it too late?

He'll have to call to PC, and the AF will be prorated and he'll have to pay $7.92 for the past month. This happened to my DH in July when he called on July 1st and the AF had posted June 1st.

The Chase Bonvoy 5 free nights is an excellent offer. However, Chase is sensitive to the speed at which you get their cards. 3 months in between is the usual recommendation. It may be okay if you haven't gotten any other Chase cards besides the CFF and if you don't go for any others for a longer period of time after this one. I'm not sure how the current environment affects this. You'll lock yourself into the Chase track of Bonvoy cards and won't be able to get the Amex Bonvoy biz or the Brilliant for 24 months.

I think the no fee Hilton card is a fairly common offer, I'm not sure if it's worth taking a 5/24 slot. I value HH at 0.0045 cent per points, so the SUB is only worth $450 (to me). The advantage is if you want to play the upgrade game. After a year, you may be targeted for an upgrade offer to the Surpass or Aspire. You could then apply for the Surpass/Aspire and then quickly taking the upgrade offer before it goes away. If you want to get into business cards, there's the Amex Hilton biz 130k for $3000 spend, $95 AF. Wouldn't take up a 5/24 slot, but no upgrade game either.

Is the US Bank card you're closing an old card? You may want to keep it for the account history. If there's an AF, maybe there's something you can PC to.

I’m just not sure there’s much for him to do so young. If he was a little older I think he would have more fun.

I understand. I think he could have fun, but mostly I meant that it would be a nice vacation for you, too, since they take care of so much (and even will make baby food for you).

Day 5 in Chase purgatory :bored:.

I was there when I applied for my CIP. Nobody could find it, the status line said no new accounts. I think it took about a week to ten days, and then it just magically appeared in my online account. I don't know why it ended up in this mysterious "doesn't exist" place, but it did work out in the end.

We will travel again eventually! I've got a lot of URs saved up. My trip was originally a solo, when DH's scuba trip to the Caymans got cancelled, he reluctantly agreed to come along, but is not unhappy it's not happening. Next big trip is St Lucia end of May, that's the only scuba trip I go on because I love the resort.
Yes, one day! We have 3 tentative trips planned next year (one just in my head!), but who knows!

The US Bank card was opened in 10/2018. I hadn't considered a PC for it, but I just called and they said I can't PC to any card. Which is no big deal because they don't really have any good cards anyway. I will keep it open like you suggested for the account history. I've had my SW card since early 2014 so I have a good history there as well.

The CFF is the first Chase card I've opened since the 2014 SW. Any downside to trying for the Bonvoy at Chase if it's too soon? Will that be a hard pull (or will they deem me ineligible before even processing the app like they did with the recent SW app)? And can you explain a little more about the downsides of locking myself into the Chase Bonvoy products? Thanks!

Eventually submitted DH's Bonvoy Boundless application on a different browser from the ones we tried earlier. He had recently changed the email on his accounts which may have been the issue? Anyway, he got the 'we need more time' message, but now I see the card when logging in, so it's there. Found some massive cracks between the concrete blocks of the basement this week so should help with the spend!

Well this tipped me over the edge to applying for the Amex Green.......... and Amex gave me the middle finger - sorry, the pop-up. :(

Oh well, it wasn't really in the plan at this time - but somewhat annoyed to get the pop-up. That said - I can't say I blame them - I rarely use my Amex cards unless there is an Amex offer (and I have hit them for a lot of those recently). Off to Amex behavior modification class for me! :o

Chase will definitely do the hard pull, so that's the downside. Co-branded cards usually take longer to arrive, so it's possible you may not get it in time for your trip in 2 weeks (especially if it's not an instant approval).

Locking yourself into the Chase Bonvoy products is just a choice, not so much a downside. :) I went down the Amex track because I prefer business cards whenever possible (and only Amex has a Bonvoy business card). Also, with Amex, I can go faster with no hard pulls (long time customer). But now with this great Chase offer I have regret! 😆

If the US Bank card has an annual fee and it does nothing for you, you may still want to cancel it. 2 years isn't that old since you have an older card. I think it continues aging on your credit report for 10 years and then falls off. If no AF, then just keep it and put a charge on yearly or biyearly so they don't close it.
