UGH......I want to jump on this. But the new Bonvoy looks good too. But I also want a CIC/CIU. Oh and I want a Barclay AA Biz! Anyone want to tell me my best strategy for this? Can I possibly swing all 5 cards (ignoring the spend requirements, I'll make it work, LOL).

Having a baby changes things. The ships look like a really easy way to travel with kids, and that's probably much more appealing now that are a family.

Uggh increased bonuses! I got the Marriott Chase card earlier in the summer (24 months past my SPG Biz card so I can hold both). Then they increase the bonus to 100K points and now 5 certs!! DH is eligible in mid-Oct for this card. If it is still around will probably have him go for it.

I want the IHG with increased bonus and a CIU and a Hyatt. Too many cards, not enough time! I think the Hyatt is at the bottom of my list. I think I should try CIU since it might be 50/50 of approval given DPs. Then I can go for IHG if it is still there later or if CIU is denied.

Anyone think it's worth SMing CHase again to ask them to match that SUB on the CSP? My 90 days is coming up in a week or so.

I haven't seen if there are any DPs of success on this.

We did our first when the kids were 16 months and 32 months. Too young for the kids club (babysitting was nice though) and not potty trained so no Mickey pool. Plus tendering with strollers sucks. And neither of mine would nap onboard so they were grumpy the whole trip.

For our second cruise the kids were 4 and 5. So much better. Although one refused to go in the kids' club.

My Amex credits finally showed up! And the online purchase of a Disney GC did trigger it (as well as the in-store purchase, of course).

Probably not the best use of points, but since my AMEX BBP is just my "in betweener" card and it is pretty unlikely I will ever have a "real" relationship with Amex (enough to make the MRs good for something like travel), I used the little bit I had to do the "cover your card" charges or whatever. Makes a nice "payment" on the next statement!

I also, thank you @SouthFayetteFan , used my URs on the CSP to do the similar thing (although the Chase interface for that isn't nearly as nice or helpful or smooth as the Amex one) so there is a nice chunk there. I'm leaving the rest of my previously accumulated URs on the CIP.

It can’t hurt to try... but there are rumors out there that Chase has stopped matching altogether

How long did it take for it to bounce back?

Ours hasn't yet :/ Equifax dropped about 13 pts, TransUnion about 30. We rolled our car loan into it also, so not sure if that played a role. Regardless, they're still good scores and we've both been approved for CCs since then. Frustrating though!

I gotta love that my BF puts up with my credit card game, LOL. We're heading to Myrtle for my Bday this month. I was debating on hotels. I kinda wanted to jump on the IHG offer right now which is 10,000pts for a stay when using your IHG card, that's almost a free night at the hotel I stay at sometimes in NC (12,500nt). But I was liking the Hilton hotel options more. I have platinum status w/ IHG and diamond w/ Hilton.

Anyways, I saw today that my HILTON Surpass had HILTON offers on it! I swear the offers normally are on my Delta or my Amex Everyday, LOL. So I have 2 different combos of reservations on hold. I have 2 nights at a Hilton on the beach where I'll save $60 off (thanks Amex). Then I did 1 night at a Hampton Inn on the beach, save $50. And then 1 night at a Staybridge Suites, which will get me the bonus 10,000 points. Option 2 I think costs me $20 more. But like I said, that $20 gets me the bonus points. I'm waiting on trying to see if I'm taking my son to his hockey tournament next week and seeing where that hotel is. That will also determine which way I go, LOL

But the BF is like, book whatever you want, LOL. He was actually the one to suggest the split stay so I can do both offers!

Huh. And they sent me an offer this morning to add an AU on mine for 10,000 pts. Nope, I think DH will get his own! Hope I can give him a support link for it. Ugh. Only 3 free 35,000 nights on the referral.

So we filled out a regular application, hit submit, and nothing happened. Waited a bit, checked that all the boxes were filled in, hit submit again, something briefly flashed on the screen, but the page didn't change. Didn't get any kind of email that he applied, so I am not sure the page is working for us.
