It's got this "bonus miles are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a CitiBusiness/AAdvantage Platinum Select account in the past 48 months." (65,000 miles for $4000/4months spend with $99 af (first year waived)I'm envious!
Is the 24 month language on the mailers? Dh got a biz mailer that didn't have the language, but it's not a good offer (60,000 miles for $6,000 spend with $450 MSR).
I went back and deleted his quote from my post, though I can't edit those who quoted it. Some information is just too powerful to be shared. You know, with great power, comes great responsibility. I'd hate to feel guilty for the consequences of anyone going too crazy, even if I could temporarily bask in their churning glory. I'll be strongly tempted to take an extra platinum the next time I need an MSR, though.I think I’m turning into him lol. I’m hitting things so hard. I keep thinking I’ll cool down but why should I when I don’t know how long things will last?
You might try CHA (Chattanooga) or BHM (Birmingham) sometimes those flights are cheaper than ATL. I would think the cheapest fares would be on routes where they compete with Southwest.I tried ATL, PIT, MSP, etc all for my flights on the Delta site - cheapest was ATL with a flight + room at Contemp for ~$2,500.
Way behind here but did you check PL or HW?

Yes. Hotwire. I’ve found some great pricing through both at times. I just know you’re going at a busy time so maybe nothing through them.Yes pl. HW is that.hotwire? I'll check but I do despise those sites![]()
We had dim sum at Dinesty Dumpling house which was delicious. It’s walking distance from Westin Bayshore where we stayed post cruise. There were quite a few Korean and Chinese places in the area. We also ate in Chinatown pre-cruise in a little hole in the wall, which also had authentic and delectable food.So my off-topic, kinda on-topic rant/fun fact of the night is - Despite having the largest Chinatown in Canada, and like the 3rd oldest Chinatown community in North America (? something like that, I think I read), the best places for Dim Sum in Vancouver, BC are not in it!
I thought we hit the jackpot with the hotel near the cruise pier also being within close proximity to Gastown, Chinatown, and not terribly far from Stanley Park - 3 of the top 10 things to do in Vancouver according to many lists. Hubby being a fan of Dim Sum this seemed great, hop a quick metro to Chinatown, have some dim sum, stroll the gardens, easy peasy. In researching the top places to get dim sum, they're all either in Richmond or outside of Downtown Vancouver.Evidently the community moved on up (and out) to settle in these areas. The neat thing about it is many say some of the places are pretty authentic to what you find in Hong Kong. The down side is the 30-40 minute commute to try it.
Le sigh, it's always something.

Hoping one of you can answer this question -- we opened the Marriott credit card but when they created the account the assigned it to a new Bonvoy account number (in my husbands name) instead of using the one in my name that we use for travel. Has this happened to anyone else and/or do you have any idea if this can be corrected? Right now we are earning points in two separate accounts but Marriott services are not being helpful in getting them consolidated into only one account. Thank you
I know it is not the best (probably at the bottom of the list) use of United points, but...
If one wanted to cash out some points for a Disney gift card, will the card be received immediately, or is there a processing time involved?
I kinda meant that comment as a joke. I won't really feel guilt if AmEx shuts you down, and I won't take credit when you share your photos from the Il Magnifico suite at Miracosta. Really I just felt bad sharing his private comment in a public forum, and it's probably better if I delete it.I’ll delete my comment. I would never blame you or anything for sharing things. I’m fully aware of these risks.

I found a lot of interesting things that I’m planning on hitting up lol. I was just telling myself I won’t have any new apps in September LOL
