I really love my Fairmont pen. It’s very good quality and has a distinct silver color.
Also found a better quality Intercontinental pen from the Toronto location.

Ok, my wife totally calls me Ross, but I take only the good stuff. If the pen doesn’t feel good in my hand, or write well, or doesn’t have the specific hotel’s name on it (just the hotel brand), I don’t usually bother. Same with toiletries.

I love the embroidered laundry bag and shoe bag from the hyatt vendome I took. I think the laundry bag has the hotel on it but the shoe bag doesn't. So fun.

Raise is having a 7% off every gift card sale with Sunny7. I bought a $100 Disney gift card for $93 and went through Ebates for 1% back. I used a VGC that I got from the Safeway VGC save $15 promo.

I had to go look then, I have the AMEX offer, $16 in ebags rewards dollars, plus I signed up for a MR Ebates account with DHs Platinum and have a welcome bonus of 1500 MRs after a $25+ purchase...

I was looking last night at ebags with the amex offer and 15% rebate. I didn't realize they have their own rewards too...so I just looked and I have $10. I was considering the smallest motherlode in case we fly frontier soon and I'd like a new raincoat...which is on clearance or sale or something. Of course, I was trying to maximize the amex deal, and neither item is $100 alone. I might just get both.

I have like $800 in VGCs that I was waiting to turn into Disney GCs with a discount. This was perfect lol I didn’t know if I could use more than one VGC at a time so I need 7 more deals lol

They don’t proactively give you that credit/refund. I see you already made the change BUT you could actually change to the cheapest flight available, get that refund/credit, and then change to the flight you want for no up-charge/penalty. That’s why I was making dozens of changes last night. Saved a ton of points with a few tricks


Approval isn’t the “lucky” part. They will approve people for these cards. These recommendations are to keep you safe from getting shutdown by Chase (ie they come back after the fact and close all of your accounts and send you packing because you were running too fast). We are ultra conservative with our recommendations BUT our group also prides ourself on never having anybody shutdown. (Going a little faster on occasion probably isn’t too risky but you don’t want to do it frequently)

An example of when I went a little faster than recommended was for my SW CP last year. I only put about 63 days between the apps. Of course, one was personal and one biz, but nonetheless, I usually wait the 90+ days. So then after that I decided to hold off on chase for 6 months while I opened other cards, then I circled back to chase again. The 6 months likely wasn't necessary, but since I had other MSR to keep me busy, it was no big deal. Just don't overdo it getting cards in under 90 days on a regular basis.

The first name is your business name, the second name is the cardholder name. All of your biz cards should look like this - didn't your first CIP look that way?
