@mamathompson Congrats! What a cute way to let people know!
I hadn’t thought about the possibility that it might have to be in one transaction. Seems like that would be a strange requirement on a personal card. I’ll have to reread that.
This is what it says in the fine print -

An “eligible purchase” means a purchase of at least $3,000 made with your enrolled Card

But the description says $3,000+ in one or more eligible transactions. I wish I had Plastiq FFD to use.
I just noticed something cool - on my AmEx phone app it says Member since 91. There’s not even an asterisk saying *except for those 10+ years we were mad at you. That’s when I got a Blue card because I thought it was so pretty. My Plat says member since 19.

While I catch up, I think somebody was just asking about Alaskan:

That's hawaiian not alaska :) I wish Alaska would have a 50k sign up nevermind 60. I don't think I've ever seen it over 40.

We totally took everything that housekeeping replenished including about 3 loofahs they sent us home with because our DD loved them.

Me too, well not the loofah's but def brought home multiple of some things. The tiny toothpaste came in handy and some I gave to my mom to use. I still have some of the bubble bath left sitting on the counter cause I don't want to have to get rid of the empty bottle and because I don't really like the smell.

I have to admit, I checked this out and had to deal with FOMO for about 5 min. The SW CP is higher on the list first. I need to focuso_O o_O.
But then... two weeks ago, I was checking out my Interval International timeshare account ( my first website in the AM). Sitting right there... 2 studio units at the Westin Kaanapali Beach Resort for next August. It’s like an addiction, I had to take them :lovestruc. I honestly had my niece in mind. However, if she can’t take her family, I just might need to take a trip to Maui. If those stars don’t align, I have 3 retrade options.

Crazy time at OM this afternoon. They had plenty of the $200 Mastercards. I grab two and check out. Young cashier (looks like a High Schooler) says she has to call to authorize buying $400 of gift cards. What? Who are you calling? I definitely have more than $400 of CL on my CIC. Manager walks over and asks her what she is doing and quickly corrects her that there is no need to call anyone to buy $400 of GC. I'll probably grab more tomorrow, hopefully she isn't working then.

This is in line with the Centurion Lounge’s complimentary child guest policy. Didn’t The Club lounges also limit entry to 3 hours before departure recently (which would also be in line with changes at the Centurion Lounges)?

ETA: Yes, The Club did:

Overcrowding is a real problem at airport lounges with almost every premium travel card offering Priority Pass benefits, and even at Lounges accessible only with the ultra premium Amex Platinums. I generally welcome this change. I know many of us have kids who will be affected by these policy changes, but as a group we also tend to have multiple cards with the Priority Pass benefit in the household so hopefully folks here shouldn’t be too impacted.

I take the toiletries to donate to the homeless and cold weather shelters. Since the people can’t leave items at them, the individual size works perfect.

I do this too! We usually do a collection for shelters around Christmas and I have a big (and growing) box all ready for this year!

My wife donates (what I don't use) to a women's shelter.

Hahaha ... Good Catch!

Finally signed up for Landry's club. If anyone hasn't done so yet and were going to do so, they are giving a $30 welcome bonus instead of $25 through the end of the month.

Even better deal! Wondering if I should just get one, in addition to wife's? (she got hers free, as a member of Charlie's Crab, eventually bought out by Landry's)

Even with all of the issues, I'm completely enjoying my Hawaii trip. Thank you all for the tips and help to get me here and make this successful.

- Lost CIP 2 which I still haven't made him call about nor have I requested an employee card
- Sick ODS
- General moodiness that vacation seems to bring out in my crew
- Big lack of sleep for me, and I don't sleep much anyway. I broke my migraine cycle in San Francisco, but my head is flirting with it again
- Technical issues with Southwest tonight (I wanted to double check my check in time. I can't access my acct, but my littles can, not sure about the other three)

I'm not letting any of this ruin my trip though lol

Here's my funny, you can laugh at me:
I have wanted to visit Hawaii since I was probably a young teen. This is definitely a bucket list trip for me. I love, love the tropical feel, the flowers, the music, everything. That's why I love, and own, Poly. I feel so at peace walking around there, I love strolling around Poly at night. So, this week I walked the fam to Starbucks super early to grab coffee before our tour, I left them and went back to find ODS. As I'm walking along, in the dark, I smile and think to myself "they did a great job with the theming at this resort. It feels a lot like Poly, very much what I imagine Hawaii would be like. <Pause> Wait. I'm in Hawaii. This IS Hawaii. Wow."

Not the cheapest place to stay, but Hilton Hawaiian Village has been great. We're parking at the garage across the street and ODS gets the ticket validated for military rate so that's saving a bit. Plenty of food choices within walking distance. I'm not sure if we'll make a sunrise or not. We've got only 2 mornings left to fit it in.

Here are three of my treasures at the end of the rainbow this morning

Aloha, neighbor :) We just arrived a couple days ago in Maui. Love the pic and so glad you are enjoying your trip. Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world :) We're fortunate to live on the West Coast and come often. We did sunrise at Haleakala this morning, and we're zonked but it was totally worth the 1:40 am wake up.

This was a little before 6 am as the first glimpse of the sun appeared above the horizon:

If I stayed 2 nights, and have a meal plan, can I buy snacks at a gift shop on the 3rd day (checkout day) with snack tix?

Wow ... that rainbow is like right there! Between you and that hill/island

By the way the site:website.com searchterm(s) search trick works great. I learned it here on DISboards a decade ago (when their search capability sucked) and have used it on other sites since. (no spaces around the ":")

They don’t proactively give you that credit/refund. I see you already made the change BUT you could actually change to the cheapest flight available, get that refund/credit, and then change to the flight you want for no up-charge/penalty. That’s why I was making dozens of changes last night. Saved a ton of points with a few tricks :D
Wow you are an evil genius. Is it too late to do this for my November flight?

I had to do several errands today and I think I probably passed a zillion Family Dollar/Dollar Generals. My town does not have a lot, but we have those two stores every mile. I had my cards with me and did I stop???? NOPE. Aughhhhh I am still chicken. lol I think I can, I think I can....
Do it!!! DS has soccer practice 3x per week, so I’ve been going to DG and Jewel/Albertsons this week during practice. Load $200 on Serve at DG, across street to buy $200 more in GCs.
I fibbed just a little. It's not really completely a kid free vacation. 🥰🥰

Looks like we are going to need even MORE points!
CONGRATS! :lovestruc
I've been waiting at Chase for an hour now to see a banker to get my account unlocked 😭
Wow, never have more than 10-15 minute wait at our local branch and that’s usually a Saturday.
