I thought that for a minute but couldn’t figure out how an organization that has taken 4 out of 8 and 2 cups in a row is an embarrassment to the country???? Unless it was sarcasm and more political in nature...

Apparently many people on the soccer thread think they (the team) are behaving badly *eyeroll*. I was going to comment but thought better of it! Was hoping to see some good soccer discussion on the game (like Lavelle’s amazing run!) but alas, its all criticism in there.

I was wondering that too..the ladies love their sport, their team and are genuinely excited to play. How is that embarrassing? SMH...

ps-Lavelle's goal was beautiful💜⚽

Applied for P2's CIP1 on 7/4, and it was approved on 7/5. Called to have the card expedited. Met the MSR of my CIP1, which I received on 6/17, on 7/5 thanks to auto insurance bill. Anxiously waiting for it to arrive to start hitting the MSR with the truck payment via Plastiq.
You have come out firing in this game! Awesome start!! I bet you can’t wait to put some of these points to use too :)

I feel like the coach summed it well- while they may not all be the best of friends off the field, they come together and play as a team and put their differences aside.

:offtopic: I am in need of some of those stretchy wide headbands people wear when running and working out. Anyone wear them? Where did you buy them? There are just tooooooo many choices on amazon :confused3

Yes, horrible role models (sarcasm font) :rolleyes2 .

I've bought some from ebags whenever I need to get my order to $100 (or whatever the AO is) but my favorites are more expensive and are from sweatybands. com.

Seems anywhere we want to stay for Spring Break next year has no points rooms available. Thinking maybe Andaz Papagayo. Tagging @Andysol and @pillow and anyone else who has been there. Is it kid friendly? Are there enough activities to do without venturing off property?
Very kid friendly. The kids club is fantastic and kids eat free at the restaurants.

I don’t think there’s enough activities to last a week. Not even close, actually. That said, if you’re ok just lounging by the pool, it’s a stunning property. There are a couple national parks close by.

I’d consider renting a car and maybe staying at Marriott’s Punta Islita for a couple of days in addition to the Hyatt. That has much better activities (zip lining, horseback, etc) and all are included and free with stay.

Costa Rica is too awesome to stay in one place. Driving is easy and it’s an incredibly safe country. Never once did we feel threatened. They are more self-sufficient there so you aren’t viewed as a “necessity” like you are in Mexico, for example. So people just leave you be and don’t cater to you. It’s really nice, actually.

No, you don’t have to cancel the personal to get the 2 sw biz cards. However, I’d cancel anyways, after the annual bonus points post and within 30 days of the af posting, just to free up credit lines.

As far as the Disney card, just call and downgrade the one you have to the no AF version.

Eta: yes, if you apply for the cards and receive them and meet the spend in the allotted time, you receive the bonus points.

I need to apply for both cards in plenty of time to be able to meet the minimum requirements because if I do the one (80K) prior to 12/31, then the other one and it post in January, I am screwed for the companion correct?

What is this status line you speak of? I have never heard of it or called it in my life...

If they were men, no one would be saying anything similar. Perfect example is Piers Morgan tweeting a pic of Rapinoe and criticizing her, then posting a very similar pic of a male cricket player while lauding him 🙄

Have you mapped out what your travel over the course of the next 30 or so months looks like? That may help you decide on the timing or need for the CP.

ETA: If you decide it will serve you best to have it all of 2020/2021, then you could go ahead and apply for a CIP now. That would give you 80k URs which you could transfer to SW as needed to book flights. If you decide to do that, please let us know so we can help guide you through the application process. It is a biz card, so not as intuitive as a personal.

What advise do I need to know in the application process in applying for both business cards?

We would probably be there 5 nights. Don’t have enough Marriott points for a stay, but have some Hyatt points and could transfer UR for the remainder. We have been to CR twice, once with DS though he was much younger. We would probably do one wildlife type tour (we loved Cano Negro) or to a national park. I’m just looking to spend as little $ as possible since our summer vacation next year will be DLR and Universal which will cost plenty.
We have not rented a car there before, or internationally ever. Anything complicated?

Part of the issue some have gets into politics and can't be discussed here. I wouldn't be surprised to see whatever thread that's in get a warning to closed if it gets too bad.

I'm glad they won but I don't like soccer so I really don't care about any of it.
