I know this isn't necessarily the best place to ask but I looked and looked and cannot find a thread here on the DIS specific to selling on eBay, which surprises me. I was looking to talk with others who are successful at it (not to get tips on selling, but more to talk about how they do their shipping and anything I can do to make my life easier in the event I do sell things. Does anyone know if there is such a thread that I just can't find?

I don't know if you got an answer. But we have had an eBay store for about 15yrs, feel free to msg me with any questions.

Depends on how thirsty you are :rotfl2:.....believe 3 months is the recommended spacing
What’s the thought on how far this could go? CIP4? CIP12? I see CIP3 mentioned here once in a while, don’t know if on Reddit people have pushed the envelope much further. When should you start to worry that Chase will come at you with a “Whoa, what do you think you are doing?” And start shutting down especially since most people probably aren’t keeping too many open ones after a year. P2 is on CIP2, I will apply for CIP2 this weekend. I’ve been thinking maybe push forward with a CIP3 then collect the rest of the Ink family.

Olympics tickets prices are now online! I have to select the tickets we want to purchase by Saturday and then pay for them next week. Prices really aren’t that bad, if I’m being honest. I put in for the max amount of ticket requests (30) and the total price if I were to buy everything was $3400. This included some big events like gymnastic medal events and swimming. Obviously we will be picking a select few events though. Beach volleyball medal event was $197 for the two of us so that may be our splurge. It was $287 for crappy seats for all of the gymnastic events so I’ll probably skip that. We’ll look for some minor events closer to the actual games and just buy what we really want to see right now. So excited! It’s becoming a reality now!

We have 2 CSR and use the $300 credit each every year. I’ve toyed with the idea of downgrading my husbands card because I do most of the travel planning and spending but the car rental keeps tripping me up. As far as I can tell, the credit card has to match the driver or otherwise I have to add a second driver at a cost. He drives on vacation always (I can’t drive stick) so it’s kept me from downgrading him. Am I missing something?

Probably covered because I'm behind but...

Your CSR gives you Executive status at National. With that at least Emerald status you can get free additional drivers if they have the same address on driver's license as you.

Enterprise is part of National so I do some bookings via Enterprise and get National credit for it. Enterprise allows one free "authorized" driver. Authorized would be a spouse or partner in the same household.

I believe some of the other companies also give free drivers when you join their programs. Or, you can book via Costco and get a free second driver.

I remember seeing 5 on reddit. 😲

I closed out my AA Citi Biz yesterday. I'm thinking of going for #2 today. I'm just trying to debate $5k/75k or $4k/70K. I think I read people were having luck off the public links by doing a new/different offer. I don't remember what I signed up w/ (I think 60k miles) so I'm learning towards trying the $5k/75k. In the words of Jimmy Buffett, indecision may or may not be my problem.

Since there's no airline credit, there is no way for me to know if I get the miles until I post all $5k, right? I guess that's the risk I run trying for #2.

I need to apply for Citi #3, I've been debating which route to go. Not sure how I'd get a mailer since I don't use Reddit, and kind of don't want to mess with the giftcard route (and also since the number of points is lower). I'm leaning toward the $4k/70k offer. My first was via a public offer, second was via a mailer with pin (from my mom but don't think she'll be receiving any more mailers). Is it still believed to be that it doesn't matter if your last card is open still or not? My first was closed but 2nd is still open.

Thanks so much for the post! We leave for our Japan ABD in a few weeks. I'd debated using URs to get a relatively cheap rate at the Park Hyatt for our 2 pre-days in Tokyo, but I ended up paying cash for the Tokyo Station hotel because it looked to be in a much more convenient location. So glad I did! I was also thrilled a few days ago to find out that the concierge at the Tokyo Station managed to get us a very coveted restaurant reservation (the Peninsula wasn't even able to get it). If you've seen a certain documentary you'll know the one I'm referring to :) The Park Hyatt has kind of been a bucket list hotel after seeing the movie, but I'll definitely save it for another trip.

You'll definitely appreciate the better location! I don't know the restaurant -- are you referring to puffer fish? A family in our group did that and said they are glad for the experience.

If you are thinking about TeamLab you should book tickets in advance. I highly recommend it -- dd and I both loved it!

I’m not even sure how I have such luck, but somehow My laptop battery got fried today and my computer has died and cannot be charged. Of course our bank is headquartered not in Pittsburgh and I don’t know how to get a replacement laptop and I have to close a loan tomorrow and we leave for Florida on Saturday!

I am having fun, I think.......

Oh also, another question. My Amex Hilton Biz AF posted. I don't think there's any reason to keep the card, am I missing something? No free night certs or great offers, right? Do I have a set amount of time to cancel it? I got a popup on my last Amex app about 6 months ago but haven't tried for any others since. I don't want to keep it just to try to get out of Amex jail. I kept my SPG Biz (don't know the new name) for the free night cert and don't want to give Amex any more of my money right now. TIA!

I'm guessing Sukiyabashi Jiro, of Jiro Dreams of Sushi fame?

Oh no! That totally sucks! Are there any coworkers who could help?

My Hilton Biz is on the chopping block too. No FNs on this card. However, if you can manage to spend (or MS) $15k on the Hilton Biz, you'll get a Free Weekend Night cert. That's not happening for me. You have 30 days from the closing date of the statement on which the AF posted to cancel for a refund of the AF.

Yeah, not happening for me either. Thanks for the info!

20K UR points pending on my CIP from DH's approval. Will knock out DH's MSR quickly with Sam's APs and car payoff. Thinking about going for my own CIP2 using his support link.

I'm 2/24 with these cards over the last 24 months:
07/17 - CHASE Ink Preferred
10/17 - CHASE Marriott Personal
12/17 - AMEX SPG Biz
05/18 - CHASE Ink Cash
10/18 - CHASE Southwest Plus
01/19 - CHASE Southwest Biz

Going to lower my limits a bit first. Just want to make sure I'm clear. Is it necessary to close CIP1 before app'ing for CIP2?
